治暴赤肿痛，如北地体旺者，宜服。
陈麻黄 荆芥穗 白桔梗 牛蒡子 庄大黄
咀片各一钱三分，作一剂，生姜五钱，葱头二两为引，服后肿消红退，仍用金液汤三四
剂，外点玉华丹。
治眼患外障，红肿羞涩，昏懵翳膜等症。
芦甘石（二两，取白而轻者如云片及羊脑髓样） 川黄连（一两，去芦切碎，水一盅浸半
日，隔汤煮汁） 童便（一盅，取男半岁无病者同连汁和作一碗）
将甘石置倾银罐内，炭火 成碧色取起，以连汁、童便淬之，如此 淬七次，加朱砂三
钱，同研为末，水飞去脚，候干又研，极细如尘，收贮听用，名曰丹头。另制珍珠，将珠钱许，
置豆腐内，碗盛蒸一时久，研极细，收贮听用。
丹头一钱，加珠末一分，旋研，冰片三分和匀，入瓷罐封固。凡一切外障眼，以银簪或
象牙簪沾药，点两 内，闭一饭久，仍以簪拨出药屑，每日早饭后点一次，或夜点亦可。
真黄丹（五两，研细水飞，候干，用浓绵纸盛锅内炒熟取起，地上候冷，又炒又冷，如
此九次，去尽铅气，又研如尘，听用） 川黄连（去芦净，二两，切碎） 石燕（一雌一雄，大者
如槟榔，与石蟹等分，捣末水飞，听用） 石蟹（不拘一个二个，与石燕雌雄等分，捣末水飞
）诃子（十二个） 真熊胆（三钱或五钱，多则效速，试法尘撒水面取粟许，滴水上，其尘分
开，方真，此眼药神品） 冬白蜜（滤净，八两）
先将连、诃用井水三碗，煎至一碗半，以蟹、燕为细末，水飞过，调和药汁同蜜，银锅
慢火煎三五沸后，入丹再煎，取柳条或桃槐条，不住手顺搅，用水一盆在旁。如沸起，即抬锅放
水盆内，待药有丝为度，入熊胆，再旋百余旋，勿令鸡犬生人妇人见之。此方专治男妇一切
眼疾，双目不见十余年者，竟能还明，但用两蛤许，每日点五七九次，不用双点，初点七日
，停三五日，又点七日，用灯草榐其翳膜，眼自明矣。如重者不过三七日，神效。
治疗突发性的眼睛红肿疼痛，适用于北方地区体质强壮的人服用。
陈麻黄、荆芥穗、白桔梗、牛蒡子、庄大黄，切碎成饮片各一钱三分，作为一剂药量；生姜五钱，葱头二两作为药引。服药后若肿胀消退、红色退去，仍需用金液汤（Jinye Tang）三四剂巩固疗效，外用玉华丹（Yuhua Dan）点眼。
治疗眼部外障疾病，症状包括红肿、畏光羞明、视物昏花模糊及翳膜遮挡等。
炉甘石（Ludongshi, Calamina）二两，选取白色且质地轻盈如云片或羊脑髓样者；川黄连（Chuanhuanglian, Coptidis Rhizoma）一两，去除芦头切碎，用一盅水浸泡半天，隔水蒸煮取汁；童便（Tongbian, Urine of a Healthy Child）一盅，选取半岁健康男童的尿液，与黄连汁混合成一碗。
将炉甘石放入倾斜的银罐中，用炭火煅烧至呈现碧绿色时取出，用黄连汁和童便进行淬炼，如此反复淬炼七次。加入朱砂（Zhusha, Cinnabar）三钱，共同研磨成粉末，用水飞法去除杂质沉淀，待干燥后再研磨至极细如尘状，收藏备用，称为“丹头”。另外制作珍珠粉：取少许珍珠，置于豆腐内，用碗盛装蒸一个时辰，研磨至极细，收藏备用。
取丹头一钱，加入珍珠末一分，随研随混匀，再加入冰片（Bingpian, Borneolum Syntheticum）三分调和均匀，装入瓷罐密封保存。凡一切外障眼病，用银簪或象牙簪蘸取药粉，点入眼睑内侧，闭目休息一顿饭的时间，然后用簪子拨出药屑。每日早饭后点一次，或在夜间点亦可。
真黄丹（Zhenhuangdan, Lead Monoxide）五两，研磨细后用水飞法处理，待干燥后，用厚绵纸包裹在锅内炒熟取出，放在地上冷却，再炒再冷，如此反复九次，以去除尽铅气，再次研磨如尘状，备用。川黄连（去芦头洁净，二两，切碎）；石燕（Shiyan, Swallow Stone）一枚雌一枚雄，大的如槟榔大小，与石蟹（Shixie, Crab Stone）等分，捣碎成末后水飞处理，备用；石蟹（不拘数量，与石燕雌雄等分，捣碎成末后水飞处理）；诃子（Hezi, Terminalia Chebula Fruit）十二个；真熊胆（Xiongdan, Ursus Arctos Bile），三钱或五钱，用量多则见效快。测试真伪的方法：将药粉撒在水面上，取米粒大小的量，滴上水滴，若药粉散开则为真品，这是眼药中的神品。冬白蜜（Dongbaimi, Winter White Honey）八两，过滤洁净。
先将黄连和诃子用三碗井水煎煮至一碗半，将石蟹和石燕制成细末，经水飞处理后，与药汁及蜂蜜混合，用银锅慢火煎煮三五沸后，加入黄丹继续煎煮。用柳条或桃槐条不停地顺向搅拌，旁边放一盆水。如果药液沸腾溢出，立即将锅放入水盆中冷却。待药液熬至能拉出丝的状态为度，加入熊胆，再旋转搅拌百余圈。此过程不要让鸡犬、生人、妇女看见。此方专门治疗男女各种眼疾，即使双目失明十余年者，竟也能恢复视力。只需使用两蛤壳许量的药膏，每日点眼五、七或九次，不要双侧同时点。初次点眼七日，停用三至五日，再继续点眼七日，用灯草芯挑除翳膜，眼睛自然明亮。病情重者不超过三七二十一天，效果神奇显著。
To treat sudden onset of redness, swelling, and pain in the eyes, suitable for individuals with robust constitutions in northern regions.
Chen Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba processed), Jingjie Sui (Schizonepetae Spica), Bai Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix), Niubangzi (Arctii Fructus), Zhuang Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma) are each cut into slices weighing 1.3 qian to form one dose. Ginger (Shengjiang) 5 qian and scallion heads (Congtou) 2 liang are used as guides. After taking the medicine, if the swelling subsides and redness recedes, continue with 3-4 doses of Jinye Tang (Golden Fluid Decoction) for consolidation, and apply Yuhua Dan (Jade Flower Powder) externally to the eyes.
To treat external obstructions of the eye (Wai Zhang), characterized by redness, swelling, photophobia, blurred vision, and membranous opacities.
Ludongshi (Calamina) 2 liang: select white, light pieces resembling cloud sheets or sheep brain marrow. Chuan Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma) 1 liang: remove the rhizome base, chop, soak in one zhong of water for half a day, and extract the juice by steaming over boiling water. Tongbian (Urine of a healthy child) 1 zhong: use urine from a healthy male infant of six months old, mix with the Huanglian juice to make one bowl.
Place the Ludongshi in a tilted silver jar and calcine over charcoal fire until it turns azure green. Remove and quench with the Huanglian juice and Tongbian mixture. Repeat this quenching process seven times. Add Zhusha (Cinnabar) 3 qian and grind together into a fine powder. Use the water levigation method (shuifei) to remove impurities, dry, and grind again until extremely fine like dust. Store for use; this is called "Dan Tou" (Base of the Elixir). Separately prepare Zhenzhu Mo (Pearl Powder): take a small amount of pearl, place it inside tofu, steam in a bowl for one shichen (two hours), grind to an extremely fine consistency, and store for use.
Take 1 qian of Dan Tou, add 1 fen of Zhenzhu Mo, grind and mix thoroughly. Add Bingpian (Borneolum Syntheticum) 3 fen, blend uniformly, and seal in a porcelain jar. For all types of external eye obstructions, dip a silver or ivory hairpin into the medication and apply it to the inner canthus. Keep eyes closed for the duration of a meal, then use the pin to remove any residual powder. Apply once after breakfast, or at night.
Zhen Huangdan (Lead Monoxide) 5 liang: grind finely, wash with water (levigation), dry, wrap in thick cotton paper, and stir-fry in a pot until cooked. Remove and cool on the ground. Repeat frying and cooling nine times to eliminate lead toxicity. Grind to a dust-like fineness for use. Chuan Huanglian (cleaned, 2 liang, chopped); Shiyan (Swallow Stone) one male and one female, large ones the size of betel nut, equal parts with Shixie (Crab Stone), crushed into powder and washed with water (levigated) for use; Shixie (Crab Stone) any quantity, equal parts with Shiyan (male/female), crushed into powder and washed with water (levigated) for use; Hezi (Terminalia chebula Retz.) 12 fruits; Xiongdan (Bear Bile) 3 qian or 5 qian (more yields faster results). To test authenticity: sprinkle powder on water surface, take a grain-sized amount, drop water on it; if the powder disperses, it is authentic. This is a divine product for eye medicines. Dong Baimiti (Winter White Honey) 8 liang, filtered clean.
First, decoct Huanglian and Hezi in three bowls of well water until reduced to one and a half bowls. Crush Shixie and Shiyan into fine powder, levigate with water, and mix with the decoction and honey. Slowly boil in a silver pot for three to five boils. Add Huangdan and continue boiling. Stir continuously clockwise with a willow, peach, or locust branch. Keep a basin of water nearby. If the mixture boils over, immediately place the pot in the water basin to cool. Cook until the syrup can draw threads (拉丝). Add Xiongdan and stir more than a hundred times. Do not allow chickens, dogs, strangers, or women to witness this process. This formula specifically treats various eye diseases in men and women, even restoring vision after ten years of blindness. Apply a quantity equivalent to two clam shells daily, 5, 7, or 9 times per day. Do not apply to both eyes simultaneously. Apply for seven days initially, stop for three to five days, then resume application for seven days. Use rush pith (Dengcao) to probe and remove opacities; vision will naturally clear. For severe cases, within twenty-one days (three sevens), miraculous effects are observed.
