麻疹已发身犹热，毒热壅遏使之然，出用化毒清表剂，没后柴胡清热煎。
注∶麻疹非热不出，若既出透，其热当减。倘仍大热者，此毒盛壅遏也，宜用化毒清表汤
治之。疹已没落而身热者，此余热留于肌表也，宜柴胡清热饮治之。
化毒清表汤
葛根 薄荷叶 地骨皮 牛蒡子（炒研） 连翘（去心） 防风 黄芩 黄连 元参 生知
母木通 生甘草 桔梗
引用生姜灯心水煎服。
方歌∶疹已出透身壮热，化毒清表为妙诀，葛薄地骨蒡翘防，芩连元知通甘桔。
柴胡清热饮
柴胡 黄芩 赤芍 生地 麦冬（去心） 地骨皮 生知母 生甘草
引用生姜灯心水煎服。
方歌∶疹已没落热不减，柴胡清热效通仙，柴胡黄芩芍生地，麦冬地骨知母甘。
毒热内盛火上炎，心胃扰乱烦渴添。未出升葛汤加味，已出白虎汤为先，没落竹叶石膏用，因时医治莫迟延。
注∶凡出麻疹烦渴者，乃毒热壅盛也。盖心为热扰则烦，胃为热郁则渴。当未出时宜升
麻葛根汤加麦冬天花粉，已出者宜白虎汤，没后烦渴者用竹叶石膏汤。

竹叶石膏汤

方歌∶疹已没落当安静，若加烦渴热未清，竹叶石膏汤参麦，石膏知母竹甘从。
麻疹已经发出，但身体仍然发热，这是因为毒热壅滞阻塞所致。在疹子发出的阶段，应使用化毒清表剂进行治疗；在疹子消退之后，若仍有发热，则使用柴胡清热煎治疗。
注释：麻疹并非依靠热势不能发出，如果疹子已经透发完全，其发热应当减轻。倘若仍然高热不退，这是毒邪强盛、壅滞阻塞的表现，适宜使用化毒清表汤来治疗。疹子已经消退脱落而身体仍发热的，这是余热留存在肌表所致，适宜用柴胡清热饮治疗。
化毒清表汤

药材组成：柴胡、黄芩、赤芍、生地、麦冬（去除心部）、地骨皮、生知母、生甘草。

毒热在内强盛并向上炎升，扰乱心神与胃腑，导致心烦和口渴加重。在疹子未发出时，宜用升麻葛根汤加味治疗；在疹子已发出时，宜以白虎汤为先；在疹子消退后，宜用竹叶石膏汤治疗。因时制宜进行治疗，不要延误时机。
注释：凡是出现麻疹且伴有心烦口渴的，都是毒热壅盛所致。因为心被热邪扰乱就会心烦，胃被热邪郁结就会口渴。当疹子尚未发出时，适宜用升麻葛根汤加入麦冬、天花粉；疹子已经发出者，适宜用白虎汤；疹子消退后出现心烦口渴者，使用竹叶石膏汤。

白虎汤
药材组成：石膏、生知母、生甘草。
服用方法：引用粳米作为药引，用水煎服。
方歌：麻疹已发多烦渴，白虎清热自能安，石膏知母生甘草，引加粳米用水煎。
竹叶石膏汤
药材组成：人参、麦冬（去除心部）、石膏、生知母、竹叶、生甘草。
服用方法：用水煎服。
方歌：疹已没落当安静，若加烦渴热未清，竹叶石膏汤参麦，石膏知母竹甘从。
Measles have erupted, yet the body remains hot; this is due to the accumulation and obstruction of toxic heat. During the eruption stage, Huadu Qingbiao Ji (Detoxifying and Exterior-Resolving Agent) should be used for treatment; after the rash has subsided, Chaihu Qingre Jian (Bupleurum Heat-Clearing Decoction) should be used if fever persists.
Note: Measles cannot erupt without heat. If the rash has fully erupted, the fever should subside. If high fever persists, it indicates that the pathogenic toxin is abundant and obstructive; Huadu Qingbiao Tang (Detoxifying and Exterior-Resolving Decoction) is appropriate for treatment. If the body remains febrile after the rash has faded and fallen, it signifies residual heat lingering in the muscle layer; Chaihu Qingre Yin (Bupleurum Heat-Clearing Drink) is appropriate for treatment.
Huadu Qingbiao Tang (Detoxifying and Exterior-Resolving Decoction)
Ingredients: Ge Gen (Puerariae Lobatae Radix), Bo He Ye (Menthae Haplocalycis Folium), Di Gu Pi (Lycii Cortex), Niu Bang Zi (Arctii Fructus, stir-fried and crushed), Lian Qiao (Forsythiae Fructum, heart removed), Fang Feng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Huang Qin (Scutellariae Radix), Huang Lian (Coptidis Rhizoma), Yuan Shen (Scrophulariae Radix), Sheng Zhi Mu (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma, raw), Mu Tong (Akebiae Caulis), Sheng Gan Cao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, raw).
Administration: Decoct with water, using Sheng Jiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens) and Deng Xin Cao (Junci Medullia) as guides.
Formula Song: When measles have fully erupted and the body burns with heat, Huadu Qingbiao is the excellent secret; Ge, Bo, Di Gu, Niu Bang, Lian Qiao, Fang Feng, Huang Qin, Huang Lian, Yuan Shen, Zhi Mu, Mu Tong, Gan Cao, Jie Geng.
Chaihu Qingre Yin (Bupleurum Heat-Clearing Drink)
Ingredients: Chai Hu (Bupleuri Radix), Huang Qin (Scutellariae Radix), Chi Shao (Paeoniae Radix Rubra), Sheng Di Huang (Rehmanniae Radix), Mai Dong (Ophiopogonis Tuber, heart removed), Di Gu Pi (Lycii Cortex), Sheng Zhi Mu (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma, raw), Sheng Gan Cao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, raw).
Administration: Decoct with water, using Sheng Jiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens) and Deng Xin Cao (Junci Medullia) as guides.
Formula Song: After measles fade and heat does not diminish, Chaihu Qingre proves effective as an immortal; Chai Hu, Huang Qin, Chi Shao, Sheng Di, Mai Dong, Di Gu Pi, Zhi Mu, Gan Cao.
Toxic heat is abundant internally and flares upward, disturbing the Heart and Stomach, thereby increasing irritability and thirst. Before eruption, Shengma Gegen Tang (Ephedra and Kudzu Root Decoction) with modifications is indicated; after eruption, Baihu Tang (White Tiger Decoction) is prioritized; after subsidence, Zhuye Shigao Tang (Bamboo Leaf and Gypsum Decoction) is used. Treatment must be adapted to the timing without delay.
Note: Irritability and thirst accompanying measles indicate abundant toxic heat. The Heart disturbed by heat causes irritability; the Stomach constrained by heat causes thirst. Before eruption, Shengma Gegen Tang (Ephedra and Kudzu Root Decoction) should be added with Mai Dong (Ophiopogonis Tuber) and Tian Hua Fen (Trichosanthis Radix); after eruption, Baihu Tang (White Tiger Decoction) is suitable; after subsidence with irritability and thirst, Zhuye Shigao Tang (Bamboo Leaf and Gypsum Decoction) is used.
Shengma Gegen Tang (Ephedra and Kudzu Root Decoction) (See formula mentioned previously)
Baihu Tang (White Tiger Decoction)
Ingredients: Shi Gao (Gypsi Fibrosus), Sheng Zhi Mu (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma, raw), Sheng Gan Cao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, raw).
Administration: Decoct with water, using Jing Mi (Oryza Sativa) as a guide.
Formula Song: Measles erupted with much irritability and thirst, Baihu clears heat and brings peace naturally; Shi Gao, Zhi Mu, Sheng Gan Cao, add Jing Mi and decoct with water.
Zhuye Shigao Tang (Bamboo Leaf and Gypsum Decoction)
Ingredients: Ren Shen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), Mai Dong (Ophiopogonis Tuber, heart removed), Shi Gao (Gypsi Fibrosus), Sheng Zhi Mu (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma, raw), Zhu Ye (Bambusae Folium), Sheng Gan Cao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, raw).
Administration: Decoct with water.
Formula Song: After measles fade, quietness should prevail; if irritability and thirst are added, heat is not yet cleared; Zhuye Shigao Tang with Ren Shen and Mai Dong, Shi Gao, Zhi Mu, Zhu Ye, and Gan Cao follow.
