神验散：产妇临产坐草时，取路边旧草马的一只脚，用鼻络小耳绳烧成灰，用温酒调服。如果得到的是左足，则生男孩；得到右足，则生女孩；如果是倒着的，说明胎儿已死；如果是侧着的，说明胎儿受惊，这是自然的道理。这药似乎不是最关键的药物，但催生的效果极其灵验。只有在临产时腰疼，才可以服用此药。
配方：人参（研成粉末）一钱，乳香一钱，辰砂二钱。
以上药材一同研匀，临产时紧急用一个鸡蛋清调和药末，再用生姜自然汁调开，冷服。如果是横生或倒生，能立即端正顺产。
治疗胎死腹中不下，胞衣破裂不能生产，此方屡试屡效，救人数以万计。鬼臼不限用量，选用黄色的，去掉末端，研磨得细如粉末，不用筛罗，用手指捻碎即可。每次服用二钱，用一盏无灰酒，同煎至八分满，通口生服，效果如神。
治疗难产日久，气力衰竭，无法分娩，兼有恶露排尽，胞宫干燥导致无法生产。
取赤小豆二升，加水九升，煮熟后取汁，加入炙过的明阿胶一两，同煎片刻，一次服用五合，如果没有效果再服用。
又一方：救治难产多日不生的情况。
取云母粉半两，用温酒调服，入口后应当分娩，不顺的也能立即产出，效果神奇。
治疗横位、逆位，产道不顺，手足先出，或者胎儿死于腹中的情况。
取伏龙肝细研，每次服用一钱，用酒调服，胎儿头部会随之带出，效果奇妙。还可以涂抹在产妇的肚脐中，也有效。或者使用菟丝子。
治疗死胎不下的方子。其症状是指甲发青、舌头发青，腹胀闷痛严重的，口中极臭。先用平胃散一贴，分成两次服用，每次用酒送服。如果有血水排出……
治疗产难胞衣不出的方子。胎儿死于腹中，生命垂危，用半夏、白蔹各一两研成粉末，用酒送服一钱。如果是普通产难，只需服用一次……
Take *Boswelliae Carthartici Resina* (Ruxiang, 乳香), grind it into a fine powder, and use pig heart blood as the binder to make pills, sized like *Koelreuteriae Fructus* seeds (Wutongzi, 梧桐子). Coat with *Cinnabaris* (Zhusha, 朱砂) and dry in the sun. Take one pill per dose. For inducing labor, dissolve in cold wine.
Shenyansan (Divine Efficacy Powder): When the parturient sits on straw for delivery, take one foot of an old grass horse from the roadside, burn it to ash using a small ear rope from the nose ring, and mix with warm wine for oral administration. If the left foot is obtained, the baby will be male; if the right foot, female; if upside down, the baby is dead; if on its side, the baby has been startled. This is natural law. Although this medicine does not seem essential, it is extremely effective for inducing labor. It should only be taken when lower back pain occurs during labor.
Formula: *Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma* (Renshen, 人参) [ground to powder] 1 qian, *Boswelliae Carthartici Resina* (Ruxiang, 乳香) 1 qian, *Cinnabaris* (Chensha, 辰砂) 2 qian.
Grind these together uniformly. At the time of labor, urgently mix the powder with one egg white, then dilute with fresh ginger juice and take cold. For breech or transverse presentations, it can immediately correct the position for delivery.
For treating retained dead fetus and ruptured membranes preventing delivery, this formula has proven effective repeatedly, saving tens of thousands. *Manihotis Radix* (Guijiu, 鬼臼) quantity unspecified; select yellow ones, remove the tips, and grind to a fine powder without sieving, crushing by hand. Take 2 qian per dose, decoct with one cup of unadulterated wine until reduced to 80%, and take orally while warm. The effect is miraculous.
For prolonged difficult labor with exhaustion, inability to deliver, accompanied by complete discharge of lochia and dry uterus preventing birth.
Take 2 sheng of *Phaseoli Semen Rubrum* (Chixiaodou, 赤小豆), add 9 sheng of water, boil until cooked, and extract the juice. Add 1 liang of prepared *Colla Corii Asini* (Ming Ejiao, 明阿胶), decoct briefly, and take 5 he per dose. Repeat if ineffective.
Another prescription: To rescue prolonged difficult labor where delivery has not occurred after many days.
Take 0.5 liang of *Lepidocrocitum* (Yunmu Fen, 云母粉), mix with warm wine and administer. Delivery should occur upon ingestion; even if difficult, it will proceed immediately. Extremely effective.
For transverse or oblique presentations, irregular labor mechanics, premature emergence of limbs, or fetal death in utero.
Grind *Longgu Fictum* (Fulonggan, 伏龙肝) finely. Take 1 qian per dose, mixed with wine. The fetal head will emerge along with it. Excellent. Also apply to the mother's umbilicus, which is also effective. Alternatively, use *Cuscutae Semen* (Tusizi, 菟丝子).
Prescription for retained dead fetus. Symptoms include cyanosis of fingernails and tongue, severe abdominal distension and oppression, and extreme fetor oris. Single herb prescription: For difficult labor where the due date has not arrived but pain resembles impending delivery.
Take 2 liang of *Anemarrhenae Rhizoma* (Zhimu, 知母), grind to powder, and make pills with honey the size of a chicken head. Dissolve one pill in warm wine and take.
