Harvest the herb on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, the sixth day of the sixth lunar month, and the seventh day of the seventh lunar month. Wash away the soil, pick the leaves, in any quantity. Process through nine steaming and nine sun-drying cycles. Before each steaming, sprinkle with a little wine, honey, and water. Steam for the duration of cooking a meal, then dry in the sun. Repeat this steaming and drying process nine times. Finally, dry in the sun and grind into powder. Mix with refined honey to make pills, sized like wutong seeds. Take one hundred pills per dose, before meals on an empty stomach, with warm wine or rice drink as the vehicle. This herb mostly grows in fertile soil; the authentic variety has a pig-like odor.
