(Buzhong Yiqi Tang, Tonify the Middle and Augment the Qi Decoction),加入牡丹皮、山栀、钩藤,长期服用。
(Sansheng Yin, Three-Life Decoction):
(Liuyong Dihuang Yinzi, Six-Dose Rehmannia Guide Formula):
A person presents with thirst desiring to drink, red eyes, panting, a surging pulse at the heart position, and an inability to speak due to tongue stiffness. This should not be treated as Qi deficiency (Qi Xu). Rather, it is extreme Kidney Yin deficiency, failing to nourish the Heart upwards, leading to hyperactive Heart Fire that burns internally and causes mental confusion, resulting in sudden collapse, resembling stroke (Zhong Feng). The treatment method should tonify the Kidney, assisted by herbs that clear fire. The formula used is Shuihuo Liangzhi Tang (Water and Fire Dual-Treatment Decoction):
Shu Di Huang (Prepared Rehmanniae Radix) 1 liang, Shan Yu Rou (Corni Fructus) 5 qian, Dang Gui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) 1 liang, Sheng Di Huang (Rehmanniae Radix) 5 qian, Xuan Shen (Scrophulariae Radix) 1 liang, Mai Dong (Ophiopogonis Radix) 5 qian, Wu Wei Zi (Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus) 3 qian, Fu Shen (Poria with Hostwood) 5 qian, Huang Lian (Coptidis Rhizoma) 3 qian, Bai Jie Zi (Sinapis Semen) 3 qian.
Decoct in water and take orally. Continue for several doses until cured.
A person who, after great anger and jumping, suddenly falls to the ground, with spasms of both arms, deviation of the mouth and eyes, and the left eye tightly closed, suffers from Liver Fire combined with Blood deficiency, where internal heat generates wind (Nei Re Sheng Feng). The appropriate formula is Bazhen Tang (Eight-Treasure Decoction) added with Mu Dan Pi (Moutan Cortex), Gou Teng (Uncariae Ramulus cum Uncis), and Shan Zhi (Gardeniae Fructus).
If accompanied by involuntary urination, and the pulse at the left Guan position is wiry, surging, and rapid, this indicates Liver Fire causing Blood dryness. Use Liuwei Dihuang Tang (Six-Ingredient Rehmannia Decoction) added with Gou Teng, Mai Dong, Wu Wei Zi, Chuan Xiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma), and Dang Gui. After recovery, switch to Buzhong Yiqi Tang (Tonify the Middle and Augment the Qi Decoction) added with Mu Dan Pi, Shan Zhi, and Gou Teng, and take it for a long time.
If a woman suffers from this condition, Xiaoyao San (Free-and-Easy Wanderer Powder) added with Gou Teng and Liuwei Dihuang Wan (Six-Ingredient Rehmannia Pills) is most effective.
Any person who falls into unconsciousness, or lies down but falls off the bed, [or those suffering from stroke with aphasia], all suffer from deficiency of Righteous Qi (Zheng Qi) invaded by Phlegm pathogen (Tan Xie). [It may seem appropriate to treat the pathogen first. However, "where the pathogen gathers, the Qi must be deficient"; therefore, urgently consolidate the Righteous Qi, and slightly assist with phlegm-resolving herbs.] The formula used is Sansheng Yin (Three-Life Decoction):
Ren Shen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma) 1 liang, Sheng Ban Xia (Pinelliae Tuber Preparatum) 3 qian, Sheng Nan Xing (Arisaematis Cum Bile Tuber) 3 qian, Sheng Fu Zi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata) 1 piece.
Decoct in water and administer urgently.
This condition also arises from Kidney deficiency. The Kidney stores Essence (Jing) and governs reproduction in the Lower Jiao; the Chong Mai (Penetrating Vessel) and Ren Mai (Conception Vessel) are connected to the Kidney. These two vessels and the large collaterals of the Kidney originate from below the Kidney, starting within the Bao Luo (Uterus/Metropolis). The Chong Mai is thus called the Bao Luo, the Sea of the Twelve Meridians, hence named "Sea." The ascending branch of the Chong Mai seeps into the Yang meridians; the descending branch seeps into the Yin meridians, nourishing muscles, distinguishing collaterals, and knotting at the dorsum of the foot.
Due to Kidney deficiency, the Kidney collaterals become severed from the interior of the uterus, failing to connect upwards. If the Kidney meridian does not ascend to surround the throat and clamp the root of the tongue, speech is lost. If the two collaterals fail to connect downwards, feijue (aphasia and paralysis) occurs.
The formula used is Liuyong Dihuang Yinzi (Six-Dose Rehmannia Guide Formula):
Shu Di Huang (Prepared Rehmanniae Radix) 1 liang, Ba Ji Tian (Morindae Officinalis Radix) 1 liang, Shan Yu Rou (Corni Fructus) 1 liang, Fu Ling (Poria) 1 liang, Mai Dong (Ophiopogonis Radix) 1 liang, Wu Wei Zi (Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus) 5 qian, Shi Hu (Dendrobii Caulis) 6 qian, Rou Cong Rong (Cistanches Herba) 1 liang, Chang Pu (Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma) 5 qian, Fu Zi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata) 5 qian, Rou Gui (Cinnamomi Cortex) 3 qian. Add Bo He (Menthae Haplocalycis Herba), Sheng Jiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens), and Da Zao (Jujubae Fructus).
Decoct in water and take orally.
