Treats blood masses (blood stasis masses) and blood gu (parasitic disease characterized by abdominal distension and masses), as well as all types of accumulated痞 (lump-like sensation or mass) in adults and children.
Zhen Xuejie (Draconis Sanguis, Dragon's Blood), Ruxiang (Olibanum, Frankincense) (each 1 liang), Chenzhou Jiantou Zhusha (Cinnabar from Chenzhou, 5 qian), Badou (Crotonis Fructus, Croton Seed) (4 qian). Grind into an extremely fine powder. Initially spread the powder apart, and continue grinding until it naturally becomes moist and forms clumps. Store in a porcelain box. Determine the dosage based on the patient's age and constitution (deficiency or excess): for children, administer three pills the size of a hemp seed; for adults, administer three pills the size of a rice grain. All should be taken with warm water. If pain occurs after taking hot water, and if the accumulation has persisted for many years, first consume three raw and three cooked Shijunzi (Quisqualis Fructus, Akebia Fruit) in the morning, and take the aforementioned medicine in the afternoon. Do not eat dinner the night before. Prepare a clean chamber pot to observe whether the medicine and the accumulation are expelled together. If neither the medicine nor the accumulation has been expelled, drink a cup of warm wine to promote evacuation.
