Song on the Indications of Neiguan (PC6) of the Yin Linking Vessel:
Fullness in the chest and abdomen, palpitations and distension in the heart and chest; borborygmus, diarrhea, and rectal prolapse; difficulty swallowing food down to the diaphragm, caused by alcohol injury; hard accumulations and masses, firmly fixed laterally beside the hypochondrium; hypochondriac pain and heartache in women; severe abdominal urgency and pain that is unbearable; unresolved exterior syndrome leading to chest binding (Jie Xiong); malaria. Needling Neiguan alone can handle these conditions.
[Annotation] "Fullness in the chest and abdomen with palpitations and distension" refers to fullness, blockage, and distension in the abdomen and chest region, lacking comfort and free flow. "Borborygmus and diarrhea" refers to sudden onset diarrhea and rectal prolapse. "Difficulty swallowing food down to the diaphragm due to alcohol injury" refers to vomiting and inability of food to descend, or injury caused by drinking alcohol. For conditions such as hard accumulations and masses rushing into the hypochondrium, heart and hypochondriac pain in women, abdominal urgency and distending pain, hard and painful chest binding from cold damage, malaria, and interior excess patterns, needling Neiguan will invariably lead to recovery.
Song on the Indications of Linqi (GB41) of the Dai Vessel:
Stroke resulting in difficulty moving the hands and feet; numbness, pain, fever, and tendon spasm; head wind causing swelling and pain extending to the cheeks and neck; red and painful eyes accompanied by dizziness; toothache, deafness, and swollen throat syndromes; wandering wind causing itching and tendon traction/wrapping; leg pain, hypochondriac distension, and pain in the ribs and limbs. Needling Linqi will cure the disease.
[Annotation] "Difficulty moving the hands and feet due to stroke" refers to hemiplegia or paralysis of the limbs. If accompanied by pain, numbness, spasm, and fever, it indicates Wind-Heat. For symptoms such as head wind with vertigo, swelling and pain extending to the cheeks, neck, eyes, teeth, ears, and throat (all red, swollen, and painful), wandering wind with itching, tendon traction, and pain in the waist, hypochondrium, four limbs, and ribs, needling this Linqi point is appropriate and will yield miraculous results immediately.
Song on the Indications of Waiguan (TE5) of the Yang Linking Vessel:
Swelling and pain in the limbs and joints, along with cold knees; paralysis of the four limbs combined with head wind; pain in the tendons and bones inside and outside the back and hips; unrestful disorders of the head, neck, and supraorbital ridge; heat and numbness in the hands and feet, night sweats; swollen heels and red eyes following trauma (broken wound); spontaneous sweating and steaming heat in cold damage. Only needling Waiguan is extremely effective.
[Annotation] Swelling and pain in the four limbs and joints, bi-cold in both knees, paralysis of the hands and feet, regular or irregular headaches (head wind), pain in the spine, back, waist, hips, tendons, bones, head, neck, and supraorbital ridge, heat and numbness in the hands and feet, night sweats, wandering wind pathogens following trauma, swollen and painful heels, red eyes, spontaneous sweating and steaming heat associated with the Yangming channel in cold damage—all these conditions are suitable for needling Waiguan, and the diseases will be cured immediately.
