By replenishing Kidney Water (using prepared Rehmanniae Radix [Shu Di Huang], Donkey-hide Gelatin [E Jiao], dried mussel meat, sea cucumber gelatin, tortoise shell gelatin, Ligustri Lucidi Fructus [Nu Zhen Zi], and Goji berries [Gou Qi Zi]), a massive water disaster is brewed (referring to Yin Qi spreading extensively, obscuring the sun). This leads to Ming Tan (when water overflows upward, producing a gurgling sound in the throat, it is called Ming Tan) and Ming Han (when water escapes outward, causing profuse sweating that does not stop, it is called Ming Han); this situation is difficult to reverse. Since Yang governs life and Yin governs death, in the moments before death, Yin Qi dominates, thus presenting these two syndromes. One should use Poria [Fu Ling] to drain the Qi of the Yin group (draining water to suppress Yin is equivalent to supporting Yang), and use Ginger [Jiang] and Aconite [Fu Zi] to welcome the return of spring-like Yang Qi.
In young women with amenorrhea, accompanied by fever, poor appetite, emaciation, and excessive sweating, Gui Pi Tang (Restore the Spleen Decoction) added with raw Velvet Antler [Lu Rong] should be used for treatment. If treatment is ineffective or the condition worsens, one must examine the disease source from the symptom of "excessive sweating." This is because when menstrual blood is internally blocked, it can only exit through the skin and hair pores, as sweat is also a form of blood. It is appropriate to use extremely bitter medicines to astringe the blood inward, allowing it to descend and connect with the Chong Mai (Penetrating Vessel), first stopping the sweating, after which the fever will naturally subside and menstruation will resume. Take Lu Hui Wan (Aloe Pill) three times daily; after one month, reduce to once daily, which is very effective. This syndrome worsened due to the intake of tonifying agents, so it is classified as an Excess Syndrome (Excerpted from *Yu Yi Cao*).
For cases of amenorrhea, fever, physical debility, reduced food intake, and frequent sweating, one must dispel doubt by focusing on the excessive sweating. Blood leakage via sweat depletes the Chong Yuan (Sea of Blood), making the bitter astringent formula of Aloe [Lu Hui] particularly miraculous.
Men and women suffering from affliction by evil spirits present with reduced appetite, muscle wasting, mental confusion, foaming at the mouth during sleep, tremors, apparent death followed by revival. Yu Jiayan's Que Xie Tang (Eliminate Evil Decoction) uses Rhinoceros Horn [Xi Jiao - note: substitute with buffalo horn in modern practice], Antelope Horn [Ling Yang Jiao], Dragon Teeth [Long Gu], Tiger Bone Powder [Hu Wei Gu - note: substitute with legal alternatives], Oyster Shell [Mu Li], Deer Horn Frost [Lu Jiao Shuang], Ginseng [Ren Shen], and Astragalus [Huang Qi] ground into powder. Separately, half a jin (approx. 500g) of mutton is decocted to obtain three cups of thick broth, which is then mixed thoroughly with the powder and taken all at once for immediate cure. This is because the spirit attaches to the body, entangling with the person's Shen Qi (Spiritual Qi), leaving no room for escape. Therefore, various spiritual substances are used to expel the form, guided by the strong odor of mutton, causing the evil Qi to attach to the flesh and bones, and subsequently exit via the large intestine. This imitates the ancient practice of shifting Jing and transforming Qi, and the legacy of "Zhu You" (incantation therapy), expanding upon its meaning. As this discussion focuses on evil pathogens, it is classified as an Excess Syndrome (Excerpted from *Yu Yi Cao*).
