白芷（一两）、乳香（三钱）、雄黄（五钱）、甘草（五钱），共同研磨成细粉末。每次服用四钱，用清酒调服送下。
误服砒霜中毒，将小蓟根捣烂取汁灌服，或者使用金汁（陈年粪清）灌服，或者使用明矾、大黄研成粉末，用刚汲取的冷水调匀后灌服，以出现呕吐和腹泻为见效标志。野菌中毒，也使用金汁来解毒，紫金丹效果也很好。
抢救落水者，让患者横伏在水牛背上，沥出腹中的积水，如果没有牛，可以用凳子代替，随后使用通天搐鼻散，吹入鼻孔中，打喷嚏则能苏醒。单独使用半夏末吹入鼻腔效果也很好。
做噩梦惊醒不醒（魇梦），用通天散吹入鼻腔，再用葱白、生姜煎汤灌服。
猪牙皂角（去皮和弦，一两）、细辛（去叶）、半夏（各五钱），共同研磨成极细粉末，每次使用一、二分，吹入鼻中，打喷嚏则苏醒。
记载于鬓疽门。
甘草、桔梗（各三钱）、牛蒡子（炒二钱）、荆芥（三钱）、薄荷（五分）、贝母（一钱五分），用水煎服。如果两侧腮部肿胀严重，加柴胡一钱五分，牡丹皮三钱。
Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (Bai Zhi, 1 liang), Frankincense (Ruxiang, 3 qian), Realgar (Xionghuang, 5 qian), Licorice Root (Gancao, 5 qian) are all ground into a fine powder. Take 4 qian per dose, mixed with clear wine and swallowed.
For accidental poisoning by arsenic (Pifu), crush the root of Cirsii Japonici Herba (Xiaojigen) to extract juice and administer it orally, or use Jinzhi (aged fecal supernatant) for oral administration. Alternatively, grind Mingfan (Alumen) and Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma) into powder, mix with freshly drawn cold water, and administer; efficacy is indicated by vomiting and diarrhea. For wild mushroom poisoning, Jinzhi is also used for detoxification, and Zijin Dan is also effective.
To rescue someone from hanging: hold them down, untie the rope, decoct 3 qian of Rougui (Cinnamomi Cortex) in water, and administer the soup.
To rescue someone who has drowned: place the patient prone across the back of a water buffalo to drain water from the abdomen; if no buffalo is available, a stool may be used as a substitute. Subsequently, use Tongtian Chubi San (Heaven-Penetrating Nasal Insufflation Powder) insufflated into the nostrils; revival occurs upon sneezing. Using only Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma) powder insufflated into the nose is also effective.
For sleep paralysis or nightmare-induced unconsciousness (Yanmeng): insufflate Tongtian San into the nose, and additionally administer a decoction of Congbai (Allii Fistulosi Bulbus) and Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens).
Swallow-wort Fruit (Zhuyazaojiao) (remove skin and fibrous strands, 1 liang), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma) (remove leaves), Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma) (each 5 qian) are all ground into an extremely fine powder. Use 1-2 fen per application, insufflate into the nose; consciousness returns upon sneezing.

Licorice Root (Gancao), Platycodon Root (Jiegeng) (each 3 qian), Burdock Fruit (Bangzi) (stir-fried, 2 qian), Schizonepeta Spike (Jingjie), Mint (Bohe) (0.5 fen), Fritillaria Bulb (Beimu) (1.5 qian) are decocted in water and taken orally. If there is severe swelling in both parotid regions, add Bupleurum Root (Chaihu) (1.5 qian) and Moutan Bark (Danpi) (3 qian).
