For injuries caused by knives or axes, or fractures from falls and blows, applying this medicine immediately stops pain and bleeding, prevents suppuration, and is far superior to other remedies. The injured area must not come into contact with water. I prepared this medicine for general distribution, but since those living far away might find it difficult to obtain quickly, I had the prescription printed and widely circulated. Now it is recorded in this book to ensure its broader transmission. Wealthy families in various townships should compound this medicine for emergency use.

Grind all medicines into an extremely fine powder. First, melt the pig lard, rosin, and beeswax together, filter out the dregs. When the mixture cools slightly, add the medicinal powders, stir evenly, store in porcelain containers, and ensure they are airtight.
