手少阳三焦经的脉气,起始于小指和次指(无名指和中指)的末端,向上出于两指之间,沿着手背腕部,走出前臂外侧两根骨头之间,向上穿过肘部,沿着上臂外侧,上行至肩部,并在足少阳胆经之后交叉进入缺盆,散布于膻中,网络心包,向下穿过横膈,依次联络属于三焦;
它的支脉,从膻中向上出于缺盆,上行至颈部,挟耳后直上,出于耳上角,然后弯曲下行至面颊,到达眼眶下方;

The classics state: The Upper Jiao (Triple Burner) is like mist and dew; the Middle Jiao is like fermentation; the Lower Jiao is like a drainage ditch. It is also said: The Triple Burner is the official responsible for dredging water passages, through which water flows.
It is further stated: This meridian has little blood but abundant Qi.
The *Zhong Zang Jing* (Classic of the Middle Viscera) states: The Triple Burner is the Yuan Qi (Original Qi) of the human body, known as the "Middle Clear Organ." It commands all five zang organs and six fu organs, Ying and Wei (Nutritive and Defensive) Qi, meridians and collaterals, as well as the Qi of the interior and exterior, left and right, upper and lower. When the Triple Burner is unobstructed, the interior and exterior, left and right, and upper and lower are all unobstructed. Its role in irrigating the entire body, harmonizing the interior and exterior, nourishing the left and supporting the right, guiding the upper and disseminating the lower, is unparalleled (Figure 65).
Text:
The meridian of Hand-Shaoyang Sanjiao (Triple Burner) originates at the tip of the fourth finger (ring finger), ascends between the fourth and fifth fingers, follows the dorsal aspect of the wrist, emerges between the two bones of the forearm, ascends through the elbow, follows the lateral aspect of the arm, reaches the shoulder, crosses posterior to the Foot-Shaoyang Gallbladder meridian, enters the supraclavicular fossa, spreads in the Tanzhong (Chest Center) region, networks the Pericardium, descends through the diaphragm, and successively connects with the Triple Burner;
One branch arises from the Tanzhong region, ascends out of the supraclavicular fossa, goes up the neck, runs along the postauricular area, emerges directly above the upper angle of the ear, then curves downward to the cheek, reaching the infraorbital region;
Another branch enters the ear from the postauricular area, exits anterior to the ear, passes anterior to the Keyrenman (Guest Master) point, crosses the cheek, and terminates at the lateral canthus of the eye (Figure 66).
Text:
The meridian of Hand-Shaoyang Sanjiao (Triple Burner) originates at the tips of the fourth and fifth fingers, at the interdigital space and dorsal wrist, ascends between the two bones of the lateral forearm, past the Cun position, along the lateral arm to the shoulder, crossing posterior to the Foot-Shaoyang meridian, descending into the supraclavicular fossa and Tanzhong region, networking the Pericardium, piercing the diaphragm internally. Its branches ascend from Tanzhong and the supraclavicular fossa, go up the neck and postauricular area, rotating to the upper ear angle, curving down to the cheek. Another branch exits the ear posteriorly to emerge anteriorly, crosses at the Shangguan (Upper Gate) point to the curved cheek, finally terminating at the lateral canthus of the eye.
Note: [1] The meridian of Hand-Shaoyang Sanjiao (Triple Burner) originates at Guanchong (LI 1) at the lateral tip of the fourth finger, ascends between the fourth and fifth fingers to Yemen (SJ 2) and Zhongzhu (SJ 3), following the dorsal wrist to Yangchi (SJ 4).
[2] From Yangchi (SJ 4), it emerges between the two bones of the forearm, passing Waiguan (SJ 5), Zhigou (SJ 6), Huizong (SJ 7), Sanyangluo (SJ 8), Sidu (SJ 9), Tianjing (SJ 10), etc., ascending through the elbow to Qinglengyuan (SI 11), then along the lateral arm to Xiaoluo (SJ 13), Naohui (SJ 14), Jianliao (TE 15), and Tianliao (TE 16). From Tianliao (TE 16), it crosses posterior to the Foot-Shaoyang meridian, enters the supraclavicular fossa, spreads in the Tanzhong region, networks the Pericardium, descends through the diaphragm internally; these parts all belong to the Sanjiao (Triple Burner) meridian.
[3) Its branch arises from Tanzhong, ascends out of the supraclavicular fossa, goes up the neck to Tianyou (TE 17), follows the postauricular region through Yifeng (TE 17), Zhimai (TE 18), and Luxi (TE 19), emerging directly above the upper ear angle at Jiaosun (TE 1) and Sizhukong (TE 23).
[4] From Jiaosun (TE 1) and Sizhukong (TE 23), it winds around the ear, curving down to the cheek and Ermen (TE 21).
[5] Another branch from the main stem exits the ear posteriorly to emerge anteriorly, passes anterior to the Keyrenman (GB 7) point of the Foot-Shaoyang Gallbladder meridian, crosses the cheek to the lateral canthus of the eye, where it connects with the Foot-Shaoyang Gallbladder meridian.
