Translation:
The condition of strabismus (deviation of the eyeballs) in infants is caused by fright and shock; when looking east, they turn west, with a slanted gaze. The formula contains Niuhuang (Calculus Bovis), Zhenzhu (Margarita), Shexiang (Moschus), Tianzhuhuang (Haloxyli Rhizoma), Jinbo (Folium Aurum), Qingdai (Indigo Naturalis), Dilong (Pheretima), Suhe You (Styrax Oil), Baifuzi (Aconiti Kusnezoffii Radix Praeparata), Hupo (Succinum), Xiangyou (Sesame Oil), and Jiangcan (Bombyx Batryticatus).
Formula: Niuhuang Wan (Calculus Bovis Pill)
Niuhuang (Calculus Bovis) 3 qian, Zhenzhu (Margarita) 3 qian, Shexiang (Moschus) a small amount, Tianzhuhuang (Haloxyli Rhizoma) 3 qian, Jinbo (Folium Aurum) as coating, appropriate amount, Qingdai (Indigo Naturalis) 3 qian, Dilong (Pheretima) 3 qian, Suhe You (Styrax Oil) 5 qian, Baifuzi (Aconiti Kusnezoffii Radix Praeparata, processed) 3 qian, Hupo (Succinum) 3 qian, Xiangyou (Sesame Oil) 5 qian, Jiangcan (Bombyx Batryticatus) 3 qian.
The above nine ingredients are each ground into an extremely fine powder and mixed together. Decoct one liang of Gancacao Jiao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, thin tip) in water to obtain the juice. Then add Suhe You (Styrax Oil) and Xiangyou (Sesame Oil), mix evenly, and combine with the medicinal powder to form pills, sized like soybeans. Coat with Jinbo (Folium Aurum). Dissolve one pill in Bohe Tang (Menthae Haplocalycis Decoction) for administration. Avoid alcohol, wheat products, spicy and hot foods, and other phlegm-producing substances.
[Note] [1] The condition of infantile strabismus may be due to fright or due to being struck or shaken, causing the pupils to deviate and gaze to be misaligned, looking east but seeing west, looking left but seeing right.
[2] Urgently use Niuhuang Wan (Calculus Bovis Pill) to disperse wind and calm fright. If neglected for a long time, it will become difficult to treat.
Text: Diseases caused by non-external and non-internal factors arise from improper diet and lifestyle, or from blows and puncture injuries. The pathogenic factor has no fixed form, potentially resulting in internal or external eye obstructions; carefully examining the cause reveals the truth without concealment.
Formula: None
[Note] [1] This clarifies the causes of disease arising from non-external and non-internal factors.
[2] Since it is neither an external contraction of the Six Qi (Six Exogenous Pathogens) nor an internal injury of the Seven Emotions, but rather due to irregular diet, overeating or starvation, careless living habits, excessive labor, or suffering from blows/shocks or puncture injuries, the pathogenic factor lacks a fixed entity. Thus, it may result in internal obstructions or external obstructions of the eye. One must carefully investigate the specific cause, so that the pathology cannot hide.
Text: In the initial stage of the Five Wind diseases, the symptoms are not yet severe enough to warrant despair; Tongming Bushen Wan (Clear Vision Kidney-Nourishing Pill) combined with Jueming Shen (likely referring to Shi Jue Ming and Ren Shen) can be used. The formula includes Shengdi Huang (Rehmanniae Radix), Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix), Cheqianzi (Plantaginis Semen), Chongweizi (Leonuri Fructus), Baishao Yao (Paeoniae Radix Alba), and Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma); slightly add Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma) among the guiding and dispersing herbs.

Shijue Ming (Haliotidis Concha) 1 liang, Renshen (Ginseng Radix) 2 liang, Shengdi Huang (Rehmanniae Radix) 2 liang, Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix) 1 liang, Cheqianzi (Plantaginis Semen) 1 liang, Chongweizi (Leonuri Fructus) 2 liang, Baishao Yao (Paeoniae Radix Alba) 1 liang, Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma) 0.5 liang, Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma) 3 qian.
