属性：凡大毒溃烂，内毒未尽，若骤用生肌，则外实内溃。重
者逼毒内攻，轻者反增溃烂。虽即收口，其于旁处，复
生大疽，是知毒未尽，不可骤用生肌药也。只以贝叶膏
贴之，频换，俟生肉珠时，方用生肌药。如元气弱者，
须当大补，以培元气。
方剂：生肌定痛散
主治：此散治溃烂红热，肿痛有腐者；用此化腐、定痛；、生
肌。
组成：生石膏（为末，用甘草汤飞五、七次，一两）
辰砂（三钱） 冰片（二分）
硼砂（五钱）
上四味，共为末，撒患处。
【方歌】生肌定痛治溃烂，肿疼红热实相宜，石膏飞过辰砂用，
共入冰硼细撒之。
又方：轻乳生肌散
主治：此散治溃烂红热，肿痛腐脱者，用此定痛生肌。
组成：石膏（〔火段〕，一两） 血竭（五钱）
乳香（五钱） 轻粉（五钱）
冰片（一钱）
上为末撒之，有水加龙骨、白芷各一钱，不收口加
鸡内金（炙）一钱。
【方歌】轻乳生肌治腐脱，石膏血竭乳轻冰，若然有水加龙芷，
收口须添鸡内金。
又方：姜矾散
主治：此散治一切诸疮发痒者，用此撒之甚效。
组成：枯矾 干姜
上等分为末，先用细茶、食盐，煎汤洗之，后用此
散撒之。冷疮不收口者，用干姜一味为末，撒患处，觉
热如烘，生肌甚效。
【方歌】姜矾最治诸疮痒，先用盐茶煎洗之，若是冷疮不收口，
干姜一味撒生肌。
又方：腐尽生肌散
主治：此散治一切痈疽等毒，诸疮破烂不敛者，撒上即愈。
组成：儿茶 乳香
没药（各三钱） 冰片（一钱）
麝香（二分） 血竭（三钱）
旱三七（三钱）
上为末撒之。
有水加龙骨（〔火段〕）一钱。欲速收口加珍珠一
两、蟹黄（法取团脐蟹，蒸熟取黄，晒干取用）二钱。
或用猪脂油（去渣）半斤，加黄蜡一两，溶化倾碗
内。稍温加前七味调成膏，摊贴痈疽破烂等证。若杖伤
则旱三七倍之。
一用鲜鹿腿骨，纸包灰内煨之，以黄脆为度。如黑
焦色则无用矣。为细末撒之，生肌甚速。
【方歌】腐尽生肌疮不敛，儿茶乳没冰麝香，血竭三七水加骨，
收口珍珠共蟹黄。或用猪油溶黄蜡，调前七味贴之良，
一用火煨鹿腿骨，为散生肌效甚长。
又方：月白珍珠散
主治：此散治诸疮新肉已满，不能生皮，及汤火伤痛，并下疳
腐痛等证。
组成：青罐花（五分） 轻粉（一两）
珍珠（一钱）
上为末撒之，
下疳腐烂，用猪脊髓调搽。
一用鸡子清倾瓦上，晒干取清，为末撒之。
【方歌】月白珍珠皮不长，并医汤火下疳疮。青缸轻粉珍珠共，
猪髓调搽真妙方，一用鸡清倾瓦上，晒干为末撒之良。
又方：五色灵药
主治：此五色灵药，治痈疽诸疮已溃，余腐不尽，新肉不生，
撒之最效。
组成：食盐（五钱） 黑铅（六钱）
枯白矾 枯皂矾
水银 火硝（各二两）
先将盐、铅溶化，入水银结成砂子，再入二矾、火
硝同炒干，研细入铅、汞再研，以不见星为度。入罐内
泥固济，封口打三炷香，不可太过不及。一宿取出视之
，其白如雪，约有二两，为火候得中之灵药。
如要色紫者，加硫黄五钱。要色黄者，加明雄黄五
钱。要红色者，用黑铅九钱、水银一两、枯白矾二两、
火硝三两、辰砂四钱，明雄黄三钱。升炼火候，俱如前
法。
凡升打灵药，硝要炒燥，矾要〔火段〕枯。
一方用烧酒煮干，炒燥，方研入罐。一法凡打出灵
药，倍加石膏和匀，复入新罐内打一枝香，用之不痛。
【方歌】五色灵药白用盐，黑铅硝汞皂枯矾，欲成紫色硫黄入，
黄者雄黄加五钱，红去皂盐铅重用，朱砂飞尽必须添。
又方：生肌玉红膏
主治：此膏治痈疽发背，诸般溃烂，棒毒等疮，用在已溃流脓
时。先用甘草汤，甚者用猪蹄汤淋洗患上，轻绢挹净，
用抿〔木霸〕挑膏于掌中捺化，遍搽新肉上，外以太乙
膏盖之，大疮洗换二次。内兼服大补气血之药，新肉即
生，疮口自敛，此外科收敛药中之神药也。
组成：当归（二两） 白芷（五钱）
白蜡（二两） 轻粉（四钱）
甘草（一两二钱） 紫草（二钱）
瓜儿血竭（四钱） 麻油（一斤）
上将当归、白芷、紫草、甘草四味，入油内浸三日
，大杓内慢火熬微枯色，细绢滤清；将油复入杓内煎滚
，入血竭化尽；次下白蜡，微火亦化。用茶钟四个，预
放水中，将膏分作四处，倾入钟内，候片时方下研极细
轻粉各投一钱，搅匀，候至一日、夜用之极效。
【方歌】生肌玉红膏最善，溃烂诸疮搽即收，归芷蜡轻甘紫草，
瓜儿血竭共麻油。
又方：莹珠膏
主治：此膏治溃疡，去腐、定痛、生肌，并杨梅疮、杖、〔月
廉〕疮、下疳等证。
组成：白蜡（三两） 猪脂油（十两）
轻粉（末，一两五钱） 樟冰（末，一两五钱）
先将白蜡脂油溶化，离火候温，入轻粉樟冰搅匀候
稍凝；再入冰片末一钱，搅匀成膏，罐收听用。凡用先
将甘草、苦参各三钱，水煎，洗净患处，贴膏。
杖疮用荆川纸摊极薄贴之，热则易之，其疔瘀即散
，疼痛立止。杨梅疮加红粉二钱。顽疮、乳岩，加银朱
一两。〔月廉〕疮加水龙骨三钱，或龙骨四钱。
【方歌】莹珠膏用治溃疮，定痛生肌力效强，白蜡猪脂樟冰粉，
杨顽乳杖并〔月廉〕疮。
又方：吕祖一枝梅
主治：此药治男、妇、大人、小儿新久诸病。生死难定之间，
用芡实大一饼，贴印堂之中，点官香一枝，香尽去药。
已后一时许，视贴药处有红斑晕色，肿起飞散，谓之红
霞捧日，病虽危笃，其人不死；如贴药处，一时后，不
肿不红，皮肉照旧不变，谓之白云漫野，病虽轻浅，终
归冥路。小儿急、慢惊风，一切老幼痢疾，俱可贴之。
凡病用之，皆可预知生死也。
组成：雄黄（五钱） 巴豆仁（不去油，五钱）
朱砂（三分） 五灵脂（三钱）
银朱（一钱五分） 蓖麻仁（五分）
麝香（三分）
上各研细，于端午日净室中，午时共研，加油燕脂
为膏，磁盒收藏，勿经妇人之手。临用豆大一圆捏饼贴
印堂中，其功立见，用过饼送入河中。
【方歌】吕祖一枝梅验病，定人生死印堂中，红斑肿起斯为吉，
无肿无红命必终。药用五灵蓖麻子，砂银巴豆麝香雄。
属性：凡是毒邪深重且疮面溃烂的情况，如果体内的毒邪尚未清除干净，就急于使用生肌收敛的药物，会导致体表看似愈合而内部继续溃烂。病情严重的，会逼迫毒邪向内攻陷脏腑；病情较轻的，反而会加重溃烂程度。即使伤口暂时闭合，在周围部位也会再次长出大的痈疽。因此可知，毒邪未尽时，不可急于使用生肌药物。只需用贝叶膏贴敷患处，频繁更换药膏，等到看到有肉芽组织（如珍珠状颗粒）生长时，才可以使用生肌药物。如果患者元气虚弱，必须采用大补元气的方法，以培固根本。
方剂：生肌定痛散
主治：此散剂用于治疗疮面溃烂、红肿发热、肿痛且有腐肉的情况；使用此药可以化除腐肉、固定疼痛、促进新肉生长。
组成：生石膏（研成粉末，用甘草汤飞水五到七次，一两）
辰砂（三钱） 冰片（二分）
硼砂（五钱）
以上四味药，共同研成细末，撒在患处。
【方歌】生肌定痛治疗溃烂，肿胀疼痛红肿热象适宜，石膏飞水辰砂使用，共同加入冰片和硼砂细细撒布。
又一方：轻乳生肌散
主治：此散剂用于治疗疮面溃烂、红肿发热、肿痛且腐肉脱落的情况，使用此药可以固定疼痛、促进新肉生长。
组成：石膏（煅烧，一两） 血竭（五钱）
乳香（五钱） 轻粉（五钱）
冰片（一钱）
以上药物研成细末撒在患处，如果有渗出液，加龙骨、白芷各一钱；如果伤口不收敛，加炙鸡内金一钱。
【方歌】轻乳生肌治疗腐肉脱落，石膏血竭乳香轻粉冰片，若有渗液加龙骨白芷，收敛伤口须添鸡内金。
又一方：姜矾散
主治：此散剂治疗各种疮疡发痒的症状，撒用此药非常有效。
组成：枯矾 干姜
以上两味药等分研成细末，先用细茶和食盐煎汤清洗患处，然后再将此散剂撒在患处。对于阴寒性疮疡伤口不收敛的情况，单用干姜一味药研成细末，撒在患处，感觉温热如烘烤一般，生肌效果极佳。
【方歌】姜矾最擅长治疗各种疮疡瘙痒，先用盐和茶煎汤清洗，若是阴寒疮疡伤口不收敛，单用干姜一味撒布以生肌。
又一方：腐尽生肌散
主治：此散剂治疗各种痈疽等毒邪引起的疮疡，以及所有破烂不愈合的疮口，撒上即可痊愈。
组成：儿茶 乳香
没药（各三钱） 冰片（一钱）
麝香（二分） 血竭（三钱）
旱三七（三钱）
以上药物研成细末撒在患处。
如果有渗出液，加煅龙骨一钱。想要快速收敛伤口，加珍珠一两、蟹黄（依法取团脐雌蟹，蒸熟后取出蟹黄，晒干备用）二钱。
或者用猪脂油（去渣）半斤，加黄蜡一两，熔化后倒入碗中。稍温后加入前述七味药调制成膏药，摊开贴敷于痈疽破烂等证候处。如果是杖伤，则加倍使用旱三七。
另一种用法是用鲜鹿腿骨，用纸包裹在灰中煨烤，以呈黄色酥脆为度。如果变成黑焦色则无效。研成细末撒在患处，生肌速度极快。
【方歌】腐尽生肌治疗疮口不收敛，儿茶乳香没药冰片麝香，血竭三七渗液加龙骨，收敛伤口珍珠共蟹黄。或者用猪油溶化黄蜡，调和前七味药贴敷效果好，一种用火煨鹿腿骨，研散生肌疗效长久。
又一方：月白珍珠散
主治：此散剂治疗各种疮疡新肉已长满但不能生皮，以及烫伤火伤疼痛，和下疳腐烂疼痛等证候。
组成：青缸花（五分） 轻粉（一两）
珍珠（一钱）
以上药物研成细末撒在患处。
下疳腐烂，用猪脊髓调和涂抹。
另一种用法是用鸡蛋清倒在瓦片上，晒干后取蛋清部分，研成细末撒在患处。
【方歌】月白珍珠散治疗皮肤不长，兼治烫伤火伤和下疳疮。青缸花轻粉珍珠共用，猪脊髓调和涂抹真是妙方，一种用鸡蛋清倒在瓦上，晒干研末撒布良效。
又一方：五色灵药
主治：此五色灵药，治疗痈疽各种疮疡已经溃破，余留腐肉未净，新肉不生的情况，撒用此药最为有效。
组成：食盐（五钱） 黑铅（六钱）
枯白矾 枯皂矾
水银 火硝（各二两）
先将盐、铅熔化，加入水银结成砂子状，再放入两种矾、火硝同炒至干，研磨细后加入铅、汞再次研磨，直到看不见星点为止。装入罐内，用泥密封加固，封口后点燃三炷香的时间进行炼制，火候不可太过也不可不及。一夜后取出观察，其颜色白如雪，约有二两，这是火候适中的灵药。
如果要制成紫色，加硫黄五钱。要制成黄色，加明雄黄五钱。要制成红色，用黑铅九钱、水银一两、枯白矾二两、火硝三两、辰砂四钱、明雄黄三钱。升炼的火候，都按照前面的方法。
凡是升打灵药，硝要炒燥，矾要煅枯。
一方用烧酒煮干，炒燥，然后研细入罐。另一种方法是凡打出灵药，加倍加入石膏混合均匀，重新放入新罐内再炼制一炷香的时间，使用后不会引起疼痛。
【方歌】五色灵药白色用盐和黑铅硝汞皂矾，欲成紫色加入硫黄，黄色加雄黄五钱，红色去掉皂盐重用铅，朱砂飞制必须添加。
又一方：生肌玉红膏
主治：此膏药治疗痈疽发背，各种溃烂，棒毒等疮疡，适用于已经溃破流脓的时候。先用甘草汤，严重者用猪蹄汤淋洗患部，用轻绢吸干水分，用抿棒挑取膏药在掌心按融化，遍涂在新肉上，外部以太乙膏覆盖，大疮每天清洗更换两次。内部兼服大补气血的药物，新肉即会生长，疮口自然收敛，这是外科收敛药物中的神药。
组成：当归（二两） 白芷（五钱）
白蜡（二两） 轻粉（四钱）
甘草（一两二钱） 紫草（二钱）
瓜儿血竭（四钱） 麻油（一斤）
上将当归、白芷、紫草、甘草四味药，放入油中浸泡三天，在大勺内用慢火熬至微枯色，用细绢滤清；将油重新放入勺内煎滚，加入血竭使其完全融化；接着下入白蜡，用微火也使其融化。准备四个茶钟，预先放在水中，将膏药分成四处，倾入钟内，等待片刻后加入研磨极细的轻粉各投一钱，搅匀，等待一天一夜后使用效果极佳。
【方歌】生肌玉红膏最为擅长，溃烂诸疮搽抹即收敛，归芷蜡轻甘紫草，瓜儿血竭共麻油。
又一方：莹珠膏
主治：此膏药治疗溃疡，去除腐肉、固定疼痛、促进新肉生长，并治疗杨梅疮、杖伤、横痃疮、下疳等证候。
组成：白蜡（三两） 猪脂油（十两）
轻粉（末，一两五钱） 樟冰（末，一两五钱）
先将白蜡和猪脂油熔化，离火后温度稍温，加入轻粉和樟冰搅匀等待稍凝固；再入冰片末一钱，搅匀成膏，装罐听候使用。凡使用之前，先将甘草、苦参各三钱，用水煎煮，洗净患处，贴上膏药。
杖疮用荆川纸摊得极薄贴在上面，热了就更换，其瘀血即消散，疼痛立即停止。杨梅疮加红粉二钱。顽固疮疡、乳岩，加银朱一两。横痃疮加水龙骨三钱，或龙骨四钱。
【方歌】莹珠膏用于治疗溃烂疮疡，定痛生肌力量强，白蜡猪脂樟冰粉，杨梅顽症乳岩杖伤及横痃疮。
又一方：吕祖一枝梅
主治：此药治疗男、女、大人、小儿的新久各种疾病。在生死难定的情况下，用芡实大一饼，贴在印堂穴中间，点燃官香一枝，香燃尽后去掉药饼。过了一小时左右，观察贴药处是否有红斑晕色，肿起飞扬散开，这叫做“红霞捧日”，病虽然危重，此人不会死；如果贴药处，一小时后，不肿不红，皮肉照旧不变，这叫做“白云漫野”，病虽然轻浅，最终也会死亡。小儿急惊风、慢惊风，一切老幼痢疾，都可以贴用。
凡是疾病使用此法，都可以预先知道生死。
组成：雄黄（五钱） 巴豆仁（不去油，五钱）
朱砂（三分） 五灵脂（三钱）
银朱（一钱五分） 蓖麻仁（五分）
麝香（三分）
以上各药研细，在端午节当天洁净的房间中，午时共同研磨，加油燕脂制成膏药，用磁盒收藏，不要让妇女的手接触。临用时捏成豆大一圆饼贴在印堂穴中间，功效立刻显现，用过的药饼送入河中。
【方歌】吕祖一枝梅验证病情，定人生死在印堂中，红斑肿起此为吉利，无肿无红生命必终。药用五灵脂蓖麻子，砂银巴豆麝香雄黄。
Attribute: In cases where the pathogenic toxin is severe and the ulcer is extensive, if internal toxins have not been fully cleared, applying flesh-regenerating (Shengji) astringents prematurely will result in apparent external healing while internal decay continues. In severe cases, this forces the toxin to attack inwardly; in mild cases, it exacerbates the ulceration. Even if the wound temporarily closes, large carbuncles may reappear in surrounding areas. Therefore, it is known that when toxins are not exhausted, flesh-regenerating medicines should not be used hastily. One should only apply Beiye Gao (Shell Leaf Plaster), changing it frequently, until granulation tissue (resembling pearls) appears, at which point flesh-regenerating medicines can be used. If the patient's Yuanqi (Vital Energy) is weak, major tonification is required to cultivate and secure the Yuanqi.
Formula: Shengji Dingtong San (Flesh-Regulating and Pain-Stabilizing Powder)
Indications: This powder treats ulcers with redness, heat, swelling, pain, and putrid matter; it is used to resolve putrid matter, stabilize pain, and generate flesh.
Composition: Sheng Shigao (Raw Gypsum Fibrosum, ground into powder, refined five to seven times using Gancao Tang [Licorice Decoction], 1 liang); Chensha (Cinnabar, 3 qian); Bingpian (Borneol, 2 fen); Pengsha (Borax, 5 qian).
The above four ingredients are collectively ground into fine powder and sprinkled on the affected area.
[Prescription Verse] Shengji Dingtong treats ulceration, suitable for swelling, pain, redness, and heat; use refined Shigao and Chensha, mix with Bingpian and Pengsha, sprinkle finely.
Another Formula: Qingru Shengji San (Light Resin Flesh-Regulating Powder)
Indications: This powder treats ulcers with redness, heat, swelling, pain, and falling-off of putrid matter; it is used to stabilize pain and generate flesh.
Composition: Shigao (Calcined, 1 liang); Xuejie (Dragon's Blood, 5 qian); Ruxiang (Olibanum, 5 qian); Qingfen (Calomel, 5 qian); Bingpian (Borneol, 1 qian).
Grind the above into powder and sprinkle on the affected area. If there is exudate, add Longgu (Fossilized Bones, calcined) and Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix), 1 qian each. If the wound fails to close, add Zhiji Neijin (Gallus Gallus Domesticus Vermiculus Exsiccatus, roasted), 1 qian.
[Prescription Verse] Qingru Shengji treats falling putrid matter; Shigao, Xuejie, Ruxiang, Qingfen, and Bingpian; if exudate exists, add Longgu and Baizhi; to close the wound, add Zhiji Neijin.
Another Formula: Jiangfan San (Ginger-Alum Powder)
Indications: This powder treats itching in various sores; sprinkling it is very effective.
Composition: Kufan (Alumen Ustums); Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma).
Equal parts of the above are ground into fine powder. First, wash the affected area with a decoction of fine tea and salt, then sprinkle this powder on the area. For cold ulcers that fail to close, use Ganjiang alone ground into powder, sprinkled on the affected area; a sensation of warmth like baking occurs, and it is very effective in generating flesh.
[Prescription Verse] Jiangfan best treats itching in various sores; first wash with salt and tea decoction; if cold ulcers fail to close, sprinkle single Ganjiang to generate flesh.
Another Formula: Fujin Shengji San (Putridity-Exhausted Flesh-Regulating Powder)
Indications: This powder treats all kinds of carbuncles and sores caused by toxic pathogens, and any broken wounds that do not heal; application leads to immediate cure.
Composition: Ercha (Catechu); Ruxiang (Olibanum); Moyao (Myrrha, 3 qian each); Bingpian (Borneol, 1 qian); Shexiang (Musk, 2 fen); Xuejie (Dragon's Blood, 3 qian); Han Sanqi (Notoginseng Root, 3 qian).
Grind the above into fine powder and sprinkle on the affected area.
If there is exudate, add Calcined Longgu (Fossilized Bones), 1 qian. To accelerate wound closure, add Zhenzhu (Pearl), 1 liang, and Xiehuang (Crab Yellow, obtained from steamed female crabs, dried, 2 qian).
Alternatively, use Zhu Zhiyou (Porcine Fat, filtered), half a jin, plus Huangla (Yellow Beeswax), 1 liang, melted and poured into a bowl. When slightly warm, add the aforementioned seven ingredients to form a plaster, spread and applied to carbuncles and broken sores. For whip injuries, double the amount of Han Sanqi.
Another method uses fresh deer leg bones, wrapped in paper and baked in ashes until yellow and crisp. If black and charred, it is useless. Grind into fine powder and sprinkle on the affected area; it generates flesh very rapidly.
[Prescription Verse] Fujin Shengji treats non-healing sores; Ercha, Ruxiang, Moyao, Bingpian, Shexiang; Xuejie and Sanqi, add bone for exudate; Pearl and Crab Yellow for closure. Or melt pig fat with beeswax, mix the seven ingredients, apply well. One method bakes deer leg bones, grinds to powder, long-lasting efficacy in generating flesh.
Another Formula: Yuebai Zhenzhu San (Moon-White Pearl Powder)
Indications: This powder treats various sores where new flesh is full but skin does not grow, as well as burns and scalds, and painful rotting of chancre (Xigan).
Composition: Qingganghua (Indigo Naturalis Flower, 5 fen); Qingfen (Calomel, 1 liang); Zhenzhu (Pearl, 1 qian).
Grind the above into fine powder and sprinkle on the affected area.
For rotting chancre, mix with Pig Spinal Cord (Zhui Suij) and apply.
Another method uses Ji Zi Qing (Egg White) poured onto a tile, dried, ground into powder, and sprinkled on the affected area.
[Prescription Verse] Yuebai Zhenzhu treats lack of skin growth, also treats burns and chancre; Qinggang, Qingfen, and Pearl together; Pig Marrow application is excellent; one method pours egg white on tile, dries, grinds, and sprinkles for good effect.
Another Formula: Wuse Lingyao (Five-Color Spiritual Medicine)
Indications: This Five-Color Spiritual Medicine treats carbuncles and various sores that have ulcerated, with residual putrid matter not cleared and new flesh not growing; sprinkling it is most effective.
Composition: Yan Shi (Rock Salt, 5 qian); Hei Qian (Black Lead, 6 qian); Ku Bai Fan (Calcined Alum); Ku Zao Fan (Calcined Chalcanthite); Shuiyin (Mercury); Huoxiao (Saltpeter, 2 liang each).
First, melt the salt and lead, add mercury to form sand-like grains, then add the two alums and saltpeter, stir-fry until dry, grind finely, add lead and mercury, and grind again until no star-like particles are visible. Place in a jar, seal tightly with mud, and refine for the duration of three incense sticks; the heat must not be too strong or too weak. After one night, take out and observe; if white as snow, weighing about 2 liang, it is the spiritual medicine with balanced heat.
To make it purple, add Liuhuang (Sulfur), 5 qian. To make it yellow, add Xionghuang (Realgar), 5 qian. To make it red, use Hei Qian (Black Lead), 9 qian; Shuiyin (Mercury), 1 liang; Ku Bai Fan (Calcined Alum), 2 liang; Huoxiao (Saltpeter), 3 liang; Chensha (Cinnabar), 4 qian; Xionghuang (Realgar), 3 qian. The refining heat follows the previous method.
When sublimating spiritual medicine, saltpeter must be stir-fried dry, and alum must be calcined.
One formula uses Sha Jiu (Baijiu) to boil dry, stir-fry dry, then grind and enter the jar. Another method adds double the amount of Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum) to the produced spiritual medicine, mixes evenly, puts it back in a new jar, and refines for one incense stick; it causes no pain upon use.
[Prescription Verse] Five-Color Spiritual Medicine white uses salt, black lead, saltpeter, mercury, and calcined alum; to become purple add sulfur; yellow add Realgar 5 qian; red remove alum and salt, use more lead; Cinnabar must be refined and added.
Another Formula: Shengji Yuhong Gao (Flesh-Regulating Jade Red Ointment)
Indications: This ointment treats carbuncles, back abscesses, various ulcerations, and stick-poison sores; it is used when they have ulcerated and are discharging pus. First wash with Gancao Tang (Licorice Decoction); for severe cases, wash with Zhu Ti Tang (Pig Trotter Decoction), wipe dry with light silk, pick up the ointment with a spatula, melt in the palm, and smear evenly over the new flesh. Cover externally with Taiyi Gao (Great Unity Plaster). For large sores, wash and change twice daily. Internally, concurrently administer medicines that greatly tonify Qi and Blood; new flesh will grow, and the wound will naturally contract. This is a divine medicine among external surgical astringents.
Composition: Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, 2 liang); Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix, 5 qian); Baila (Beeswax, 2 liang); Qingfen (Calomel, 4 qian); Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, 1 liang 2 qian); Zicao (Arnebiae Radix seu Lithospermi Radix, 2 qian); Gua'er Xuejie (Dragon's Blood, 4 qian); Mayou (Sesame Oil, 1 jin).
Soak Danggui, Baizhi, Zicao, and Gancao in oil for three days. Slowly simmer in a large ladle until slightly browned, filter through fine silk; return the oil to the ladle, boil, add Xuejie until fully dissolved; then add Baila, melt with low fire. Prepare four tea cups placed in water beforehand. Divide the ointment into four parts, pour into the cups. Wait a moment, then add finely ground Qingfen, 1 qian per cup, mix well. Wait for one day and night before use for optimal effect.
[Prescription Verse] Shengji Yuhong Gao is best, ulcerated sores contract upon application; Danggui, Baizhi, Wax, Qingfen, Gancao, Zicao; Gua'er Xuejie and Sesame Oil.
Another Formula: Yingzhu Gao (Crystal Pearl Ointment)
Indications: This ointment treats ulcers, removes putrid matter, stabilizes pain, generates flesh, and treats Yángméi Chuāng (Syphilitic Chancre), whip injuries, Héngxuān Chuāng (Bubo), and Xiágān (Chancre).
Composition: Baila (Beeswax, 3 liang); Zhu Zhiyou (Porcine Fat, 10 liang); Qingfen (Calomel, powdered, 1 liang 5 qian); Zhangbing (Camphor, powdered, 1 liang 5 qian).
First, melt Baila and Zhu Zhiyou, remove from heat until slightly warm, add Qingfen and Zhangbing, mix well, wait until slightly solidified; then add Bingpian (Borneol) powder, 1 qian, mix well to form ointment, store in jar for use. Before use, decoct Gancao and Kushen (Sophorae Flavescentis Radix), 3 qian each, in water, wash the affected area clean, then apply the ointment.
For whip injuries, spread thinly on Jingchuan paper, apply; change if hot; the stasis dissipates, and pain stops immediately. For Yángméi Chuāng, add Hongfen (Red Mercury Oxide), 2 qian. For stubborn sores and Rúyán (Breast Cancer), add Yinzhu (Cinnabar), 1 liang. For Héngxuān Chuāng, add Shui Longgu (Fossilized Bones), 3 qian, or Longgu, 4 qian.
[Prescription Verse] Yingzhu Gao treats ulcerated sores, strong power in stabilizing pain and generating flesh; Baila, Pig Fat, Camphor, Calomel; Yangmei, stubborn, breast, whip, and bubo sores.
Another Formula: Lüzu Yizhi Mei (Master Lü's One Branch Plum)
Indications: This medicine treats various new and old diseases in men, women, adults, and children. In critical situations where life and death are uncertain, apply a cake-sized piece of Qianshi (Euryales Semen) to the Yintang acupoint. Light one official incense stick; when the incense burns out, remove the medicine. After about an hour, observe if the applied area shows red spots or halos, swelling, and spreading, termed "Red Clouds Embracing the Sun"; although the disease is critical, the patient will survive. If after an hour the applied area does not swell or turn red, and the skin and flesh remain unchanged, termed "White Clouds Covering the Wilderness," although the disease seems mild, the patient will ultimately die. It can also be applied to pediatric acute and chronic convulsions, and dysentery in all ages.
Using this method for any disease allows one to predict life and death in advance.
Composition: Xionghuang (Realgar, 5 qian); Badou Ren (Crotonis Fructus Seed, uncured, 5 qian); Zhusha (Cinnabar, 3 fen); Wulingzhi (Trogopterori Faeces, 3 qian); Yinzhu (Cinnabar, 1 qian 5 fen); Bimaren (Ricini Semen, 5 fen); Shexiang (Musk, 3 fen).
Grind each ingredient finely. On the Dragon Boat Festival (Duanwu), in a clean room at noon, grind them together. Add You Yanzhi (Oil-based Rouge) to form a paste. Store in a porcelain box; avoid contact with women's hands. Before use, pinch a bean-sized round cake and apply to the Yintang acupoint. The effect is immediate. Dispose of the used cake by throwing it into a river.
[Prescription Verse] Lüzu Yizhi Mei verifies illness, determines life and death at Yintang; red swelling is auspicious, no swelling or red means death ends. Medicinal ingredients: Wulingzhi, Ricinus, Cinnabar, Silver, Croton, Musk, Realgar.
