《太清经》云∶皇帝问素女,对曰∶女人年二十八九,若二十三四,阴气盛,欲得男子;

The *Xuan Gan Fu Shi Fang* (Mysterious Sensation Poultice for Corpses Formula) primarily treats elderly women whose bodies gradually become emaciated and weak, with wind-induced swelling of the head and face, vexatious pain in bone joints, coldness, dry mouth, and symptoms resembling *Gu Zheng* (Bone Steaming - a syndrome characterized by yin deficiency and internal heat).
**Niu Xi Jiu Fang** (Achyranthes Root Wine Decoction):
*Niu Xi* (Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae, 1 jin), *Sheng Di Huang* (Radix Rehmanniae Preparata, cut, 3 sheng), *Niu Bang* (Fructus Arctii, cut and sun-dried, 1 jin), *Sheng Jiang* (Rhizoma Zingiberis Recens, cut with skin, 1 sheng).
These four ingredients are cut, placed in a silk bag, soaked in 1 da sheng of clear wine for seven days. Warm dose one zhan per administration, three times daily.
The *Tai Qing Jing* (Scripture of Great Clarity) states: The Yellow Emperor asked Su Nu, who replied: When women are twenty-eight or twenty-nine years old, or twenty-three or twenty-four, their Yin Qi is abundant, and they desire men; if they cannot restrain themselves, they lose appetite, their meridians move restlessly throughout the body, and upon palpating the Jing Mai (Essence Pulse) as full, fluid discharges soiling the undergarments. This indicates the presence of worms in the vagina resembling horse tails, three fen long. Those with red heads cause *Men* (chest oppression/vexation); those with black heads cause *Mo* (saliva/foam discharge).
Treatment formula: Make a phallus shape from flour, of any length and size desired. Dip it in soy sauce and two cloves of garlic, wrap it in cotton, and insert it into the vagina. The worms will adhere to it and come out. Remove and reinsert repeatedly, simulating intercourse with a physician. There may be thirty such worms, or as few as twenty.
The *Bing Yuan Lun* (Treatise on the Origins and Manifestations of Diseases) states: Women who dream of sexual intercourse with ghosts do so because the Qi of the fu and zang organs is weak, and the Shen (Spirit) is deficient and declining, allowing ghostly spirits to engage in intercourse during dreams.
The *Yu Fang Mi Jue* (Secrets of the Jade Chamber) records: Cai Nu asked: Why does the disease of ghostly intercourse occur? Peng Zu said: It arises from the lack of Yin-Yang interaction and intense emotional desires. Ghostly demons then assume forms to engage in intercourse. The sensation of such intercourse often surpasses that with humans. Over time, confusion sets in, and due to shame, one hides it and refuses to tell others, believing it to be a secret, thus dying alone without anyone knowing.
Treatment method: Allow the woman to have intercourse with a man but prevent ejaculation. If this continues day and night without fatigue, she will surely recover within seven days. If the body is too fatigued to endure intercourse alone, deep pressure without movement is also beneficial.
Another formula: Burn several liang of *Shi Liu Huang* (Realgar/Stibnite - Note: Historically used, modern context requires caution) to fumigate the woman's vulva and lower body, and administer one fang cun bi of *Lu Jiao Mo* (Deer Antler Powder) orally. She will recover. When intercourse ceases, the ghost will weep and depart.
Another account: Take one fang cun bi of *Lu Jiao Mo* (Deer Antler Powder), three times daily, until cured.
The *Duan Ju Fang* (Short Drama Formulas) separately records formulas for treating wind-evil affecting both men and women, where men dream of women and women dream of men, leading to sadness, worry, resentment, and unpredictable anger or joy, recurring daily for half a year or several months:
*Yang Shang Ji Sheng* (Viscum Coloratum, 3 liang), *Zhu* (Atractylodis Rhizoma, 3 liang), *Gui Rou* (Cinnamomi Cortex, 1 liang or 3 liang), *Yin Yu* (Skimmiae Japonicae Fructus, 1 liang), *Tian Xiong* (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata, 1 liang, processed), KT Gen (Root of KT, 1 liang), *Ji Gen* (Cirsii Japonici Radix), *Chang Pu* (Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma, 1 liang), *Xi Xin* (Asari Radix et Rhizoma, 1 liang), *Fu Zi* (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata, 1 liang, processed), *Gan Jiang* (Zingiberis Rhizoma, 1 liang).
Ten ingredients in total. Pound together and sift. Take half a fang cun bi with wine, three times daily. Do not let women, chickens, or dogs see the preparation. Also, do not let the patient see the preparation. If family members or those knowledgeable about the medicine see it, the evil qi will not be expelled. This prohibition must be observed for efficacy.
The *Qian Jin Fang* (Thousand Gold Formulas) treats sudden ghostly intercourse in women:
*Song Zhi* (Pini Resin, 2 liang), *Xiong Huang* (Realgar, 1 liang).
Melt the *Song Zhi* first, then add the powdered *Xiong Huang*, mixing thoroughly using tiger claws. Form pills the size of a chicken egg yolk. At night, place one in a fumigation cage, ignite it, and have the patient sit above it. Cover with a blanket, leaving only the head exposed. Avoid excessive heat and ensure the medicinal air does not escape.
The *Xuan Gan Fu Shi Fang* treats women suffering from *Gu Zheng* (Bone Steaming) who frequently dream of intercourse with ghost husbands. The formula is:
*Xiong Huang* (Realgar, 1 liang, crushed), *Hu Zhua* (Tiger Claw, 1 piece, powdered), *Chen Xiang* (Aquilaria Lignum, 1 liang, powdered), *Qing Mu Xiang* (Aucklandiae Radix, 1 liang, powdered), *Song Zhi* (Pini Resin, 2 liang, crushed).
Mix these five ingredients and bind with honey into pills the size of marbles. Place in a fire cage to fumigate the vagina once at night. This is highly effective.
