*Zhubing Yuanhou Lun* states: When the functions of the five Zang organs are disharmonious and the Qi mechanism of the Sanjiao (Triple Burner) is unregulated, cold pathogenic factors invade. This causes milk and food to fail to digest, condensing and gathering into *xia pi* (abdominal masses). Among these, those that do not move upon palpation and have a fixed shape are classified as *pi*, which is milder; those that float and shift when pushed are classified as *xia*.
*Qianjin Fang* records: Moxibustion at one cun below both nipples, three moxa cones per site.
Another prescription: Crush the green bark of peach trees, mix with vinegar, and apply topically, twice daily.
Another prescription: Grind the roots of *Lycium chinense* (Goji berry root) into powder, mix with lard for topical application; mixing with vinegar is also effective.
*Yimen Fang* records: Crush garlic, mix with vinegar, and apply. If the mass shifts position, follow it and massage accordingly; this is verified to be effective.
*Benshi Shiyi* states: Select unhardened *Bitter Bottle Gourd* (*Cucurbita ficifolia*), boil until hot, unwrap, and use to iron/moxa-treat infantile abdominal masses.
*Chan Jing* states: Prescription for treating infantile malnutrition (*Gan syndrome*) characterized by craving rice:
*Rattus norvegicus excrement* (one sheng), *Atractylodis Rhizoma* (five he).
Combine these two ingredients, stir-fry until the rice grains are scorched, grind into powder. Take with one sheng of water in one dose; shortly thereafter, the pathological accumulation will be vomited out. The vomitus resembling ground rice powder indicates the expulsion of the accumulation. If white phlegm-water is vomited without accumulation, it suggests an increased need for rice consumption.
*Chan Jing* records: Prescription for infants who eat soil, forming earthy masses in the abdomen, constantly craving soil, and consuming meat:
One jin of raw meat, tied with a rope and dragged on the ground for several li. Do not wash; roast directly and consume to achieve cure.
*Qipo Fang* records: Prescription for treating intestinal parasites in children:
Grind *Mume Fructus* (or related herb, typically *Chuan Lian Zi* or similar depending on context, here likely referring to a specific vermifuge like *Pyrethri Flos* or *Wu Mei* derivative, but strictly translating "Wu Yi" as *Euphorbiae Seed* or similar if literal, however "Wu Yi" usually refers to *Euphorbiae Semen* or *Meliosma*? Actually "Wu Yi" 芜荑 is *Euphorbiae Semen* or *Meliosma fructus*? In TCM, *Wu Yi* is often *Euphorbiae Semen* or *Meliosma*. Let's stick to Pinyin/Standard: *Wuyi* (Vermifuge fruit). Grind into powder. Mix with food according to quantity during each meal. Consume with a small amount of water until stopped. (No dietary restrictions.)
*Zhubing Yuanhou Lun* states: Heat in the lower Jiao of children causes heat Qi to rush upward to the Yin region, resulting in swelling of the glans penis preventing retraction, inability to urinate, and even the formation of sores. Folklore attributes this to "urine fire."
*Qianjin Fang* records: Crush fresh *Brassica rapa* (Turnip) leaves and apply topically.
Another prescription: Grind *Sepia esculenta* (Cuttlefish bone/flesh) and apply.
Another prescription: Crush the roots of *Amaranthus tricolor* (Amaranth root) and apply topically.
Another prescription: Roast *Prunus persica* seeds, grind into powder, take one cun-bi with wine, three times daily.
*Qianjin Fang* states: Prescription for sudden stabbing pain in the genitals accompanied by profuse sweating:
*Allium macrostemon* (Small Garlic), *Allium tuberosum* root, *Salix babylonica* root (each one jin).
Burn these three ingredients together, pour wine over them, and use the steam to fumigate the affected area while hot.
Another prescription: Mix *Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma* (Licorice) powder with milk to wash the area.
It also states: Prescription for penile pain:
*Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma* (Licorice), *Honey*.
Grind into powder, mix with milk to wash the area.
*Jiyao Fang* records: Decoct *Saussureae Radix* (Wild Wolf Tooth Root) strongly and wash the area; this is very effective.
