This substance can primarily treat wind-heat in the five zang organs. Therefore, when roasted dry and ground into powder, taken orally with rice water on an empty stomach, it can stop night sweats (Dao Han), which is rarely known by people.
Narration: Accumulation (Ji Ju) and mass formation (Zheng Jia) are diseases of the heart and abdomen. Those who suffer from such diseases should seek treatment from a skilled physician. If left untreated, they may combine with other pathogenic factors, becoming incurable. It is like treacherous individuals harming the state, taking advantage of others' crises for profit; even if there are wise men, they cannot manage the aftermath well.
Take thirty jin (approx. 15 kg) of fat and tender yellow bull beef, cut into small pieces, remove the fascia and sinews; boil in running water until soft and rotten, filter through cloth to remove dregs, obtain the pure juice, then put it back into the pot and simmer slowly over low heat until it turns amber-colored, thus forming the preparation. Let the patient abstain from meat and eat bland food beforehand, do not eat dinner the day before, set up a sealed room in a bright and non-ventilated place for the procedure. Place a waste bucket and earthen basin to store vomit and excrement, and a porcelain bottle to collect urine. Let the patient enter the room, drink one cup of the juice, then another cup after a short while, accumulating dozens of cups. In cold months, warm the juice in hot water before drinking, allowing free vomiting and diarrhea. For diseases located in the upper part, more vomiting is desired; for those in the lower part, more diarrhea is desired; for those in the middle and both upper and lower parts, both vomiting and diarrhea should be abundant. This entirely depends on flexible application to determine speed and quantity. Observe the expelled matter; stop only when the root of the disease is completely expelled. After vomiting and diarrhea, extreme thirst will occur; do not give soup, but instead have the patient drink their own urine. This not only quenches thirst but also washes away residual impurities. After the process, feeling fatigue and hunger, first give thick rice water, then light thin porridge. After three days, vegetable soup can be consumed. Maintain care for half a month or one month; spontaneously feel spirit refreshed and body light and healthy, with chronic ailments completely removed. Thereafter, beef must be avoided for several years.
Danxi said: The ox belongs to Kun Earth. Yellow is the color of Earth. This follows its nature and imitates the function of Qian Heaven, utilizing the male ox. Meat is the joy of the Stomach; cooked and liquefied, it becomes a formless substance, spreading horizontally into muscle collaterals, penetrating from the intestines and stomach into skin, hair, pores, and nails, entering everywhere. Accumulations cannot be reached by mere pills and powders that peek at the walls and windows; unless there is a divine method of scraping intestines and dissecting bones? The overflow of meat liquid is received by the intestines and stomach, its concentration doubling as before, appearing somewhat swollen. In winding and twisting places, the meat liquid fills and flows, like a flood rising, pushing away floating driftwood and old decay, unable to stay still. Those on the surface exit via sweat due to vomiting; clear pathways (respiratory etc.) naturally surge out via vomiting; turbid pathways (digestive etc.) naturally leave via diarrhea. All stagnations and obstructions are washed away completely. Beef possesses the heavy, rich, gentle, and compliant nature, abundant and dissipating, moistening withered and emaciated states, tonifying deficiencies and damage. Is there no joy of spirit refreshing? It is exactly like King Wu conquering Shang, distributing wealth and grain to relieve the longing expectations of the Yin people. This prescription was obtained from a supreme person in the Western Regions. For ordinary people after middle age, performing this once or twice is also a help in eliminating disease and nourishing longevity.
He once wrote to someone saying: It entirely lies in self-drinking "Reincarnation Wine" (Lun Hui Jiu) for ten-plus cups, to expel remaining impurities, welcome regulation and balance, generate new Ying and Wei (Defensive and Nutritive Qi), allowing the blind membranes of the zang organs to produce vitality and spread smoothly, achieving the merit of shedding one's mortal coil and changing bones. Many dislike its filth, causing interruption midway, resulting in failure for lack of a final effort. Unless one understands the principles of physical transformation and creation, how could they regard it as fine wine and good taste!
