慈幼心不能已得者宝之

儿生脐带脱落取置新瓦上用炭火四围烧烟将尽瓦盏盖之地上存性研细末将透明朱砂亦为
细末水飞过若脐带重五分朱砂二分半以生地黄当归浓煎汁一二蚬壳调和前两味抹儿上 间及
母乳头上一日之内用尽次日大便秽垢终身则无疮疹诸疾此十分妙法也
治疗痘疹（天花）在出疹之前预先服用，可使重症变轻，轻症则无患。

以上药材切碎，用水二十碗煎至十碗，去渣后，用此药汁煮辰砂。待药汁煮干后，焙干研为细末，加入白面五钱。取活兔一只，刺其四蹄出血，将药末与兔血混合制成丸剂，大小如梧桐子大。每五岁以上儿童每次服五丸，十岁以上儿童每次服十丸，用三豆汤送服。兔子最好在腊八日取得，效果更佳。
每年春分、秋分日服用一丸，能预先消除痘毒。若连续服用三年共六次，痘毒尽消，痘疹必无忧患。此方神秘，本应忌讳轻易传授，但因慈爱幼童之心不能自已，得到者请珍视。
缠豆藤（一两五钱，其藤在八月间采收，缠绕在毛豆梗上且呈红细色的为佳，采取后阴干，此药为主药）
山楂、生地黄、牛蒡子、辰砂（水飞法处理，各一两）、升麻（七钱）、独活（二钱）、甘草、黄连、赤芍药、桔梗、当归（各五钱）、赤豆（七十粒）、黑豆（三十粒）、连翘（七钱五分）、苦丝瓜（两根，长五寸，隔年经霜的烧灰存性）。以上各药研为细末，用砂糖和丸，大小如李核大。每次服用一丸，用浓煎的甘草汤化开送服。
所有药材必须预先精心辨别。遇春分、秋分或上元、中元节日时调制合药，务必虔诚精进。忌讳妇人和猫狗看见。合药时要面向太阳祝祷药物说：“神仙妙药，体合自然，婴儿吞服，天地齐年。吾奉太上老君急急如律令。”一口气念七遍。
婴儿出生后脐带脱落，将其放置在新瓦上，用炭火从四周烧烤，烟将尽时用瓦盏盖住，在地上存性（煅烧保留药性），研成细末。再将透明的朱砂也研为细末，用水飞法处理。如果脐带粉重五分，朱砂粉二分半，用生地黄、当归浓煎的汁液一二蚬壳量调和这两味药，涂抹在婴儿身上，以及母乳头上一天之内用完。次日大便排出秽垢，终身则无疮疹等诸疾，这是十分奇妙的疗法。
To treat smallpox (dòuzhěn, variola), administering this prescription prophylactically before the eruption can transform severe cases into mild ones and prevent complications in mild cases.
Cinnabar (Chénshā) (1 liang, placed in a silk bag, suspended in a jar below fetal hair, pre-soaked in water; simmer slowly, adding water gradually to prevent drying out; stop when water is exhausted.)
Red Peony Root (Chìsháoyào), Kudzu Root (Gāngě), Mung Bean (Lǜdòu), Kudzu Root (Shēngmá), Licorice Node (Gāncǎojié), Schizonepeta (Jīngjiè), Ephedra (Máhuáng), Hawthorn Fruit (Shānzhā), Black Soybean (Hēidòu), Adzuki Bean (Chìxiǎodòu), Saposhnikovia Root (Fángfēng), Lychee Shell (Lìzhīké), Burdock Fruit (Niúbàngzǐ) (each 1 liang).
Grind the above herbs coarsely. Decoct in 20 bowls of water until reduced to 10 bowls. Strain. Use this decoction to boil the Cinnabar. Once the liquid is dry, roast and grind into fine powder. Add 5 qian of white flour. Take one live rabbit, prick its four hooves to collect blood. Mix the powder with the rabbit blood to form pills the size of *Koelreuteria paniculata* seeds. For children over five years old, administer 5 pills per dose; for those over ten years old, administer 10 pills per dose. Swallow with San Dou Tang (Three Beans Decoction). It is optimal if the rabbit is obtained on the eighth day of the twelfth lunar month.
Taking one pill on the Spring Equinox and Autumn Equinox each year can preemptively eliminate smallpox toxins. If taken for three years, totaling six doses, the toxins will be completely cleared, ensuring no risk of smallpox. This formula is mysterious and should strictly not be lightly transmitted; however, due to the compassion for young children, it is shared here. Those who obtain it should treasure it.
Vine wrapping beans (Chándòuténg) (1.5 liang; harvest the vines in August that are red and thin, wrapping around soybean stems; dry in shade. This herb is the principal ingredient.)
Hawthorn Fruit (Shānzhā), Rehmannia Root (Shēngdìhuáng), Burdock Fruit (Niúbàngzǐ), Cinnabar (Chénshā) (water-triturated, each 1 liang), Kudzu Root (Shēngmá) (7 qian), Angelica Pubescens Root (Dúhuó) (2 qian), Licorice Root (Gāncǎo), Coptis Rhizome (Huánglián), Red Peony Root (Chìsháoyào), Platycodon Root (Jíngjiē), Angelica Sinensis Root (Dāngguī) (each 5 qian), Adzuki Bean (Chìdòu) (70 grains), Black Soybean (Hēidòu) (30 grains), Forsythia Fruit (Liáoqiào) (7.5 qian), Bitter Loofah Vine (Kǔsīguā) (2 vines, 5 cun long, from the previous year after frost, charred to retain properties). Grind all ingredients into fine powder. Mix with rock sugar to form pills the size of plum pits. Take one pill per dose, dissolved in strong Licorice Tea (Gāncǎo Tāng).
All herbs must be carefully selected in advance. Prepare the formula on the Spring Equinox, Autumn Equinox, Shangyuan Festival, or Zhongyuan Festival. The process must be conducted with utmost sincerity. Avoid letting women, cats, or dogs see the preparation. While compounding, face the sun and chant: "Divine miraculous medicine, harmonizing with nature; infants swallowing it, sharing the longevity of heaven and earth. I invoke the Supreme Lord Laojun, execute immediately as decreed." Recite seven times in one breath.
After an infant's umbilical cord falls off, place it on a new tile. Roast around the edges with charcoal embers. When smoke subsides, cover with a tile bowl and let it cool on the ground to preserve its properties (calcination). Grind into fine powder. Also grind transparent Cinnabar (Zhūshā) into fine powder using the water-trituration method. If the umbilical cord powder weighs 5 fen, use 2.5 fen of Cinnabar powder. Mix these two powders with 1-2 shellfuls of strong decoction of Rehmannia Root (Shēngdìhuáng) and Angelica Sinensis Root (Dāngguī). Apply this mixture to the infant's body and to the mother's nipple within one day. By the next day, foul matter will be excreted in the stool, preventing all skin diseases such as sores and rashes for life. This is an extremely effective method.
