The above thirty-six ingredients should all be fresh and of good quality. They are broken apart and ground into powder on the day of processing. Take one cun bi (a square-inch measure) mixed with warm clear wine, three times a day. If ineffective, gradually increase the dose up to two or three cun bi, stopping when efficacy is achieved. If one experiences bitter stuffiness in the chest, drink a small amount of cold water. Avoid raw fish, pork, and Song Cai (Chinese cabbage). Abstaining from sexual intercourse for one hundred days is highly beneficial. For patients with insufficient heart qi and shortness of breath, add Ren Shen (Radix Ginseng) and Gan Cao (Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparata), each 1 liang. For abdominal pain due to insufficient kidney qi, add Du Zhong (Cortex Eucommiae) and Yang Shen (Kidney of Ovis/Aries), each 2 liang. Adjust according to the disease.
