Long-handled gourd (Lagenaria siceraria var. longissima) is burnt to retain its properties, ground into powder, and applied externally until the swelling subsides. Alternatively, it can be mixed with sesame oil for application, which is even more effective.
Sebaceous cysts should be treated immediately upon onset; otherwise, they will gradually enlarge and cause unbearable suffering. First, apply moxibustion with moxa sticks for about ten sessions. Then, grind realgar (Realgar) with vinegar, spread it on paper, cut it to the size of a snail shell cover, and paste it on the moxibusted area. Apply a plaster externally, changing it every one or two days. Squeeze out all the powdery fluid inside, then apply Shengji San (Regenerating Tissue Powder) for self-healing.
Mercurius (Hydrargyrum), 1 qian; Katea (Catechu), 1 qian; Bingpian (Borneolum Syntheticum), 3 fen; Pengsha (Borax), 1 qian; Shexiang (Moschus), 3 qian; Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex), 5 qian; Xuejie (Sanguis Draconis), 3 qian. Grind all ingredients into fine powder and rub the root of the tumor. The tumor will fall off as you rub.
Hemangioma (Blood Tumor) ranges from the size of a gallbladder to that of an eggplant. Cut it off with a sharp blade, then immediately cauterize with a red-hot silver cautery spoon. This stops bleeding instantly, prevents ulceration, and prevents recurrence. Alternatively, use: Mercurius (Hydrargyrum), Qingfen (Calomel), Chaonao (Camphora), Jingxiu (Vermisugillum Cupri), Beimu (Fritillariae Bulbus), each 1 qian; Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex), 3 qian; Katea (Catechu), 2 qian; Bingpian (Borneolum Syntheticum), 3 fen. Grind into fine powder and apply to the lesion; it will fall off.
A lesion occurring about one cun below the hairline behind the ear, painless upon pressure. Puncture with a needle, squeeze out all powdery material and hair, and apply Shengji San (Regenerating Tissue Powder) for immediate healing.
Wu Liu (Object Tumor/Parasitic Mass) has a large root and is most difficult to treat. It moves intermittently and makes sounds spontaneously, resembling bird calls or insect chirping. It is necessary to incise the central hole with a knife so that the object cannot remain and must break through. Afterwards, apply Shengji San (Regenerating Tissue Powder).
Jin Liu (Tendon Tumor/Venous Varix) poses little harm and could theoretically be left untreated. However, reckless use of knives or needles often damages tendons, potentially leading to death; thus, cutting is strictly contraindicated. If removal is desired, on the day of onset, tie the base tightly with a thin thread boiled in Yuanhua (Kansui Radix). It will naturally fall off after a long period.
Gu Liu (Bone Tumor) grows on the skin surface, feeling like a bone embedded within when pressed. As it is an internal pathology, external treatment is not suitable. Use the following prescription: Wuzheiyu Gu (Sepiae Endoconcha), 1 qian; Baishiying (Quartzum Album), 2 fen; Shi Liuhuang (Sulfur), 2 fen; Zhongru (Gossypii Semen Sterilisatum - Note: Traditionally refers to Stalactitum, but context suggests mineral/calcium source, here translated as Stalactitum per standard TCM herb mapping for Zhongru if distinct, but text says Zhongru which is usually Stalactitum/Gypsum related deposit. Standard WHO term for Zhongru is Stalactitum), 3 fen; Zishiy ing (Quartzum Rubrum), 2 fen; Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma), 1 qian; Danshen (Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), 8 fen; Hupo (Amber), 1 qian; Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma), 1 qian; Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata), 3 fen; Chaoyan Shi (Stercus Hirundinis), 1 qian; Shifan (Alumen), 1 qian. Decoct in water and take orally. Ten doses will completely eliminate the tumor.
