Ming Dunming Heshi Sanzi (Life-Taking Brown Powder)
In pregnancy after the fourth or fifth month, if one suddenly falls to the ground, hands and feet convulse, phlegm sounds roll in the throat, mouth and eyes are closed, resembling infantile convulsions, it is named Fetal Epilepsy (Tai Xian).

If awake, only use Fangfeng decoction to mix Si Jun Zi Tang (Four Gentlemen Decoction), take Su He Xiang Wan (Suhe Xiang Pill) and Da Sheng Ze Lan San (Great Sage Silverweed Decoction Powder); after half a month, the disease will naturally resolve. Do not worry about dim vision; when Qi and Blood condense and calm, vision will naturally brighten. Strictly avoid eye medicines. Three or four women suffered from this syndrome: Cun Kou pulse was hidden, Guan downwards pulse was wiry. Hidden indicates Qi does not ascend; wiry indicates fluid retention inside. This must be due to a large fetus, where flowing fluids fail to transform, pouring into the fetal palace, fighting with Blood, causing fetal unrest, thus Qi fails to ascend. This is the fetal Qi touching the Heart collaterals, leading to Fetal Epilepsy. Previously, doctors used fetal-calming and blood-nourishing medicines without effect, then used this medicine. Although this syndrome is a prenatal disease, it should be treated as a postpartum condition. This is because Blood does not follow its vessels, Qi does not ascend and descend, Qi closure and Blood stagnation occur, resembling epilepsy. One should guide Qi and drain the fluids; once Qi flows and fluids dissipate, Blood returns to its vessels, nourishing the fetus and calming Qi, making the fetus quiet. Repeated use has proven effective.
Diyu Jiangxue Yinzi (Sanguisorba Descending Blood Decoction)

If the fetus is alive, it will be calmed; if dead, it will be expelled immediately.
For postpartum blood syncope, stir-fry Trogopterori Faeces (Wulingzhi) until smoke ceases, grind to fine powder, take 1 qian mixed with warm wine; child's urine is especially good.
Another formula: Dry Lotus Leaf (Heye) ground to fine powder, take 1 qian each time, mixed with warm wine.
Another formula: Raw Pinelliae Tuber (Banxia) ground to powder, blow a bean-sized amount into the nose.
