治卒中恶短气不省人事欲死及疗诸昏迷 用麻黄四钱，甘草一钱，桂心二钱，杏仁八十
枚。
水七升，煮取三升，分三服，不拘时，立效。
治中恶卒死 用菖蒲生根捣绞汁，灌之立瘥。
又方 用女青屑一分，安鼻中，以水或酒送下立活。
治卒中恶心痛 用茱萸五合，酒三升，煮三沸，分三服。
又方 用桂心八分锉细，水四升，煮一升，分二服。
治中恶或先病或常居寝卧奄忽而绝 用薤捣汁，灌鼻中。
治卒死无脉，无他形候者 牵牛临鼻上二百息，牛不肯舐者，以盐汁涂面上，即肯舐。
治中恶客忤卒死者 用皂角末吹鼻，或研韭汁灌耳中，以艾灸脐中百壮。

治被鬼击 用灶心土为末，每服二钱，新汲水调下，及以少许吹鼻中。
又方 用桃、柳东行枝各三七寸，煎汤二盏，温灌之。
治恍惚见鬼发狂 用平胃散加辰砂末，枣汤调服。
治卒中恶不省者 用韭菜研汁，灌入鼻中。
治尸压如死，脉动如故 用灶突中黑煤土如弹子大一块，浆水和饮之。
又方 用豆豉水煮汁服之。
又方 用官桂为末，水调灌之。
治疗中恶导致的呼吸短促、神志不清、濒临死亡以及各类昏迷症状。使用麻黄四钱，甘草一钱，桂心二钱，杏仁八十枚。加水七升，煎煮至剩余三升，分三次服用，不限时间，立即见效。
治疗中恶突然死亡。使用石菖蒲的根茎捣碎绞取汁液，灌服后立即痊愈。
另一个方子：使用女青粉末一分，置于鼻孔中，用水或酒送服，立即苏醒。
治疗中恶引起的恶心疼痛。使用吴茱萸五合，酒三升，煮沸三次，分三次服用。
另一个方子：使用桂心八分，锉成细末，加水四升，煎煮至剩余一升，分两次服用。
治疗中恶，或者原本有病，或者平时在寝卧时突然气绝。使用薤白捣取汁液，灌入鼻中。
治疗突然死亡且无脉搏、无其他体征者。牵牛靠近鼻孔二百次呼吸的时间，若牛不肯舔舐，用盐汁涂抹面部，牛便会肯舔舐（以此作为判断生死的方法）。
治疗中恶客忤导致的突然死亡。使用皂角粉末吹入鼻中，或者研磨韭菜汁灌入耳中，并用艾炷灸脐中穴一百壮。
治疗中恶突然死亡，以及魇魅、自缢、溺水、压迫、难产、气绝等情况。使用皂角粉末或半夏粉末，制成如豆粒大小的丸药，纳入鼻中。
治疗突然死亡但心头尚热者。使用百草花晒干，用水浸泡，密封埋藏百日，放入砂锅中连水熬制成稠状，制成如皂角子大小的丸药。每次放一粒（含服或化开）。
治疗中鬼气致死，口鼻出血者。使用雄黄粉末一钱，用桃叶汤煎好后调服。
治疗一切因接触尸体或恶气进入腹部导致久治不愈的情况。使用阿魏打碎如芝麻大小，用面粉包裹做成馄饨，煮熟后食用，每日三次。
治疗中恶客忤导致的昏睡不醒。使用麝香一钱研细，与醋二合混合，服用后立即痊愈。
治疗尸厥突然死去，腹中肠鸣者。使用生姜汁半盏与酒一起煎沸，灌服，并艾灸丹田穴、百会穴、气海穴。
治疗被鬼击打（指突发急症）。使用灶心土研为粉末，每次服用二钱，用新汲水调服，并将少许粉末吹入鼻中。
另一个方子：使用桃树和柳树向东生长的枝条各三七寸长，煎汤两盏，温服灌下。
治疗尸压如死，但脉搏跳动如常者。使用烟囱中的黑煤灰土如弹子大的一块，用米浆水调和饮用。

另一个方子：使用官桂研为粉末，用水调匀灌服。
To treat sudden collapse due to evil qi (Zhong E) characterized by shortness of breath, loss of consciousness, impending death, and various comatose states. Use Ephedrae Herba (Mahuang, 麻黄) 4 qian, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao, 甘草) 1 qian, Cinnamomi Cortex (Guixin, 桂心) 2 qian, and Armeniacae Semen Amarum (Xingren, 杏仁) 80 pieces. Add 7 sheng of water, decoct until 3 sheng remains, divide into three doses, take at any time, effect is immediate.
To treat sudden death due to Zhong E. Crush the fresh root of Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma (Shichangpu, 石菖蒲), press for juice, and instill; recovery is immediate.
Another prescription: Use powder of Qingxiangzi (Nvqing, 女青) 1 fen, place in the nostril, and swallow with water or wine; revival is immediate.
To treat nausea and pain caused by Zhong E. Use Evodiae Fructus (Zhuuyu, 吴茱萸) 5 he, and 3 sheng of wine, boil three times, divide into three doses.
Another prescription: Use Cinnamomi Cortex (Guixin, 桂心) 8 fen, finely chopped, add 4 sheng of water, decoct until 1 sheng remains, divide into two doses.
To treat Zhong E, or when one has an existing illness, or suddenly dies while sleeping or resting. Crush Allii Macrostemonis Bulbus (Xiebai, 薤白) for juice, and instill into the nose.
To treat sudden death without pulse and without other clinical signs. Bring a cow close to the nostril for two hundred breaths; if the cow does not lick, apply salt juice to the face, then it will lick (this serves as a diagnostic method).
To treat sudden death due to Zhong E or Ke Wu (intruding evil qi). Blowing powder of Gleditsiae Sinensis Fructus (Zaojiao, 皂角) into the nose, or grinding Juice of Chinese Chive (Jiucai, 韭汁) and instilling into the ear, combined with moxibustion on Shenque (CV-8, 脐中) 100 moxa cones.
To treat sudden death due to Zhong E, as well as cases of sleep paralysis, hanging, drowning, crushing injury, difficult labor, and cessation of qi. Use powder of Gleditsiae Sinensis Fructus (Zaojiao, 皂角) or Pinelliae Rhizoma (Banxia, 半夏), make pills the size of beans, and insert into the nose.
To treat sudden death where the heart area remains warm. Dry Bai Cao Hua (Baicaohua, 百草花), soak in water, seal and bury for one hundred days, then simmer with water in a clay pot until thick. Make pills the size of soap bean seeds. Take one pill per dose.
To treat death caused by ghostly qi with bleeding from mouth and nose. Use Realgar (Xionghuang, 雄黄) powder 1 qian, mix with decoction of Peach Leaf (Taoye, 桃叶), and take orally.
To treat all conditions where corpse qi or foul air enters the abdomen and persists for a long time. Break down Asafoetida (Wei, 阿魏) into sizes similar to sesame seeds, wrap in dough to make wontons, cook thoroughly, and eat. Take three times daily.
To treat Zhong E and Ke Wu causing deep sleep/coma. Grind Musk (Shexiang, 麝香) 1 qian, mix with 2 he of vinegar, and take orally; recovery is immediate.
To treat Shi Jue (corpse-like coma) with sudden death appearance and abdominal borborygmus. Decoct half a zhan of Gingeris Rhizoma Recens (Shengjiang, 生姜) juice with wine until boiling, instill, and perform moxibustion on Qihai (CV-6, 气海), Bailao (GV-20, 百会), and Dantian (CV-12, 丹田) acupoints.
To treat being struck by ghosts (sudden acute illness). Powder the Hearth Earth (Zaoxin Tu, 灶心土), take 2 qian per dose mixed with fresh drawn water, and blow a small amount into the nose.
Another prescription: Decoct branches of Peach Tree (Tao Zhi, 桃枝) and Willow Tree (Liu Zhi, 柳枝) growing eastward, each 37 cun long, in enough water to yield two zhan of decoction, and administer warm.
To treat delirium seeing ghosts and mania. Use Pingwei San (Calm the Stomach Powder) added with Cinnabar (Chensha, 辰砂) powder, taken with date soup.
To treat Zhong E with loss of consciousness. Crush Juice of Chinese Chive (Jiucai, 韭汁) and instill into the nose.
To treat Shi Ya (corpse pressure) appearing dead but with normal pulse. Take a piece of soot from the chimney flue the size of a marble, mix with rice gruel water, and drink.
Another prescription: Decoct Fermented Soybean (Douchi, 豆豉) in water and take the juice.
Another prescription: Use official Cinnamon Bark (Guigui, 官桂) powder, mix with water, and instill.
