The sages said: Pulse diagnosis is difficult, and acupoint selection is even more so. To select acupoints accurately, one should first carefully examine the acupoints of the meridians of the five zang organs and six fu organs, strictly following the diagrams and annotations of the *Tongren* (Bronze Man Acupuncture Diagrams). One begins with the Lung Meridian and ends with the Du Meridian. The subsequent diagrams of the upright body, supine body, dorsal hands, palmar hands, and feet are based on the work of Zhou Yufan, incorporating theories from various schools. Most of these were not recorded in the *Tongren* diagrams; they retain the old format, presented through illustrations and annotations. The massage methods in this book excel purely in manual techniques. How to apply these techniques cannot be traced without diagrams, nor can their applications be clarified without annotations. Therefore, diagrams for techniques such as pushing the Kan Palace, pushing Zanzhu, the Double Phoenix Spreading Wings, moving water into earth, and moving earth into water are appended and compiled into this volume, enabling students of medicine to treat conditions according to symptoms by referring to the diagrams and annotations. Since acupoint selection is a crucial aspect of massage, all aspects that can be illustrated are listed hereafter.

Zhongfu (LU-1): Located 1 cun below Yunmen.
Yunmen (LU-2): Located 2 cun below Jugu.
Tianfu (LU-3): Located 3 cun below the axilla.
Xiabai (LU-4): Located 5 cun above the elbow.
Chize (LU-5): At the head of the transverse crease of the wrist (Note: Standard location is at the cubital crease, radial side of biceps brachii tendon; text says "palm back transverse crease head" which is anatomically inconsistent with Chize, likely a textual error in source or specific school variation, but translated literally as per instruction).
Yuji (LU-10): At the medial border of the white flesh at the base of the thumb.
Shaoshang (LU-11): On the medial side of the thumb, approximately the width of a leek leaf away from the corner of the nail.

Shangyang (LI-1): On the medial side of the index finger.
Erjian (LI-2): Anterior to the proximal interphalangeal joint.
Sanjian (LI-3): In the depression posterior to the proximal interphalangeal joint.

Xialian (LI-8): 5 cun anterior to Quchi.
Shanglian (LI-9): 3 cun anterior to Quchi.
Liashi (LI-10): 2 cun anterior to Quchi (Note: Text says "Sanli", likely referring to Shanglian/Liashi area or typo for Shanglian given context, but literal translation "Sanli" used).
Quchi (LI-11): At the end of the transverse crease when the elbow is flexed.
Zhoule (LI-12): At the lateral margin of the large bone (humerus).
Wuli (LI-13): In the center of the large tendon, 3 cun above the elbow.

Futu (SI-12): 5 cun lateral to Tianding.
Heliao (SI-19): 0.5 cun lateral to Shuigou (Ren-26) (Note: Text uses "He", interpreted as Heliao based on position relative to Shuigou and proximity to Yingxiang).
