One person was lying down and suddenly had four or five sheng of lice emerge from their entire body, with flesh and blood damaged, and the tongue protruding uncontrollably. They were cured after drinking more than ten cups of a soup made with salt and vinegar.
Another person had red eyes, flared nostrils with labored breathing, macules on the whole body, and hair as hard as copper wire or iron thread. This was caused by heat-toxin accumulating in the Upper Jiao (Upper Burner) originating from the eyes. Using one liang each of Alum (Bai Fan) and Talcum (Hua Shi), boiled in three bowls of water until reduced to one and a half bowls, drinking it all resulted in immediate effect.
A fair-skinned person suddenly turned black, with hair standing straight like iron rods. Although they could eat and drink, they did not speak, resembling a state of deep intoxication. This condition is named Blood Ruin (Xue Kui).
Another person suddenly developed cone-like fleshy protrusions all over the body, causing itching and pain that prevented eating. This condition is named Blood Congestion (Xue Yong). The affected area was washed with juice obtained by pouring water over burnt skin-on green onions, and several cups of Lightly Charred Soybean Decoction (Dan Dou Chi Tang) were taken internally for recovery.
Another person frequently saw birds and insects flying before their eyes, which disappeared when grasped. This was a disorder of the Liver and Gallbladder meridians. One liang each of Ziziphus Seed (Suan Zao Ren), Notopterygium Root (Qiang Huo), Mirabilite (Xuan Ming Fen), and Celosia Seed (Qing Xiang Zi) were ground into powder. Two qian were taken each time, decocted in water, and consumed with the dregs, three times daily.

Another person drank four to five sheng of oil before feeling relief. This occurred because hair entered the stomach and transformed into worms within the blood. Five qian of Realgar (Xiong Huang) were ground into powder, mixed with water, and ingested; the worms emerged naturally, having formed snake-like shapes.
Another person suffered from broken fingers, with only tendons connecting the joints and flesh. Worms emerged resembling lamp wicks, about one chi long, with green fuzz. This condition is named Hair-Borne Disease (Xue Yu Ji). Recovery was achieved by decocting and taking Poria (Fu Ling) and Picrorhiza Rhizome (Hu Huang Lian).
Another person experienced a rumbling sound throughout the subcutaneous tissue, resembling waves, with unbearable itching. Scratching caused continuous bleeding. This condition is named Qi Rush Disease (Qi Ben Ji). One liang each of Ginseng (Ren Shen), Polygala Root (Ku Zhi - *Note: likely refers to Ku Shen/Sophora Root based on context, but translated literally as per source*), Green Salt (Qing Yan), and Asarum Root (Xi Xin) were decocted in two bowls of water until reduced to one bowl. Drinking it all led to recovery.
Another person had the whites of the eyes turn completely black, yet vision remained clear. Hair stood straight like iron rods, and they were mute as if intoxicated. This condition is named Blood Ruin (Xue Kui). Two qian of Trogopterus Dung (Wu Ling Zhi) were ground into powder and taken with wine for recovery.
