Acupoint Diagram of the Foot-Yangming Stomach Meridian
There are forty-five acupoints in total, ninety acupoints on both sides combined.
The meridian of the Foot-Yangming Stomach originates at the side of the nose, intersects with the nasal root, and laterally approximates the meridian of the Taiyang (Greater Yang); it descends along the lateral aspect of the nose, enters the upper dental gum, returns to emerge alongside the mouth and encircles the lips, intersects below with Chengjiang (CV24), then retraces along the posterior mandible, emerges at Daying (ST5), follows Jiache (ST6), ascends anterior to the ear, passes through Guest Master (ST7), follows the hairline to reach the frontal skull. A branch diverges from before Daying (ST5), descends into Renying (ST9), follows the throat, enters the Supraclavicular Fossa (Quepen, ST12), descends through the diaphragm, belongs to the Stomach, and connects with the Spleen. The main trunk proceeds from the Supraclavicular Fossa, descends along the medial border of the breast, flanks the umbilicus, and enters the Qichong (ST30) region. Another branch originates from the lower orifice of the stomach, runs within the abdomen down to Qichong (ST30) where it joins the main trunk, then descends through Biguan (ST31), reaches Futu (ST32), enters the knee patella, descends along the lateral margin of the leg, reaches the dorsum of the foot, and enters the space between the toes of the second digit. Another branch diverges three cun below the knee, entering the lateral space between the toes of the second digit. Yet another branch diverges from the dorsum of the foot, enters the space between the great toe, and emerges at its tip.
