论曰石性勇悍，凡服食过度，将适失宜，而又脾胃不和，谷不能胜，则其气上攻，所以
发呕逆也。
治乳石发动，热气上攻，脾胃不和，呕逆食不下。茯苓汤方

上一十味，粗捣筛，每服五钱匕，水一盏半，入生姜五片，青竹茹一分，煎至八分，去

治乳石发，结热癖，心下肿，胸中痞塞，呕逆不止。雁肪汤方
雁肪（一具先煮过） 当归（切焙） 大黄（锉炒） 桂（去粗皮各二两） 芍药（一
两半） 人
参石膏（碎） 甘草（炙锉各一两） 桃仁（二十枚汤浸去皮尖双仁炒研）
上九味，除雁肪外，粗捣筛，先将雁肪以水七盏。煎取汁五盏，去雁肪，每服用汁二盏
，药末四钱匕，更入桃仁七枚，枣一枚拍碎，煎至一盏，去滓入芒硝少许，更煎三两沸，空
心温服，日午再服，若热盛者日四服，如无雁，以白鸭代之，如无白鸭，以乌鸡代之。
治乳石发呕，服药不效。三黄汤方
豉（三合新绵裹线缠作袋子） 栀子仁（半两） 枳实（去瓤麸炒二两） 甘草（炙锉）

上六味，除豉外，粗捣筛，每服四钱匕，水二盏，和豉袋子同煮至一盏，后入芒硝一钱

上五味，粗捣筛，每服四钱匕，水二盏煎至一盏，去滓分温二服，早晚食前各一。
治乳石发热，干呕烦热。半夏汤方
半夏（汤洗去滑切焙一两） 白薇（炒二两） 干姜（炮） 甘草（炙锉各半两）
上四味，粗捣筛，每服三钱匕，苦酒一盏，煎至五分，去滓温服。治乳石发动，烦闷呕
逆。人参汤方 人参 甘草（炙锉） 麦门冬（去心焙） 黄芩（去黑心） 芦根（去土锉
焙） 栝
蒌（锉炒各一两）
上六味，粗捣筛，每服三钱匕，水一盏，煎至七分，去滓空心温服。
治乳石发，呕不止，食不下。薤白饮方

薤白（一握）
上一味，碎切，以水三盏，煎至一盏，去滓温服。
治乳石发，呕逆，咽喉中伤，清血出者，此因卧温及食热所致。方
上以冷水饮之，或以冷石熨咽喉，即瘥。
治乳石发，胸胁满，气上逆，此因失饥不食，药气上冲所致。方
上速与冷水洗之，或以冷饭食之，即瘥。
论述说：石药（指古代服用的矿物类药物，如五石散等）性质猛烈刚悍，凡是服用过量，或者调养不当，再加上脾胃功能不和，无法承受药力，那么药气就会向上冲逆，从而导致呕吐和呃逆的发生。
治疗乳石发动，热气上攻，脾胃不和，呕吐呃逆，饮食难下。茯苓汤方

以上十味药，粗捣筛碎，每次服用五钱匕，用水一盏半，加入生姜五片，青竹茹一分，煎煮至八分满，滤去药渣，饭后临睡前温服。
治疗乳石发动，结聚热邪成癖，心下部肿胀，胸中痞塞不通，呕吐呃逆不止。雁肪汤方
雁肪（一只，先煮过） 当归（切片焙干） 大黄（切碎炒） 桂枝（去掉粗皮，各二两） 芍药（一两半） 人参 石膏（打碎） 甘草（炙烤后切碎，各一两） 桃仁（二十枚，热水浸泡后去掉皮尖及双仁者，炒熟研碎）
以上九味药，除了雁肪之外，其余粗捣筛碎。先将雁肪用水七盏，煎取汁液五盏，去掉雁肪。每次用药汁二盏，加入药末四钱匕，再放入桃仁七枚，大枣一枚拍碎，煎煮至一盏，滤去药渣，加入少许芒硝，再煎两三沸，空腹温服，中午时再服一次。如果热势盛者，每日服四次。如果没有雁，可以用白鸭代替；如果没有白鸭，可以用乌鸡代替。
治疗乳石发动引起的呕吐，服药无效。三黄汤方
豉（三合，用新绵包裹，线缠成袋状） 栀子仁（半两） 枳实（去掉瓤，麸皮炒，二两） 甘草（炙烤后切碎） 前胡（去掉芦头） 大黄（切碎炒，各一两）
以上六味药，除了豉之外，粗捣筛碎。每次服用四钱匕，用水二盏，连同豉袋子一起煮至一盏，之后加入芒硝一钱匕，再煎煮一两次沸腾，滤去药渣，空腹温服。
治疗乳石发动，虚热，痰饮导致的呕吐呃逆，饮食难下。栝蒌根汤方
栝蒌根 麦门冬（去掉心焙干） 人参 甘草（炙烤） 黄芩（去掉黑心，各半两） 半夏（热水洗七遍，去掉滑腻感） 芦根（切碎，各一两） 前胡（去掉芦头，三分）
以上八味药，切碎如麻豆大小，每次服用五钱匕，用水一盏半，加入生姜五片，煎煮至八分满，滤去药渣温服，不拘泥于特定时间。
治疗乳石发动，烦闷呕吐呃逆。人参汤方
人参 白术 栝蒌根 甘草（炙烤后切碎，各二两） 黄芩（去掉黑心，一两）
以上五味药，粗捣筛碎，每次服用四钱匕，用水二盏煎煮至一盏，滤去药渣，分两次温服，早晚饭前各服一次。
治疗乳石发热，干呕烦热。半夏汤方
半夏（热水洗去滑腻，切片焙干，一两） 白薇（炒，二两） 干姜（炮制） 甘草（炙烤后切碎，各半两）
以上四味药，粗捣筛碎，每次服用三钱匕，用醋一盏，煎煮至五分满，滤去药渣温服。
治疗乳石发动，烦闷呕吐呃逆。人参汤方
人参 甘草（炙烤后切碎） 麦门冬（去掉心焙干） 黄芩（去掉黑心） 芦根（去掉泥土，切碎焙干） 栝蒌（切碎炒，各一两）
以上六味药，粗捣筛碎，每次服用三钱匕，用水一盏，煎煮至七分满，滤去药渣，空腹温服。
治疗乳石发动，呕吐不止，饮食难下。薤白饮方
豉（微炒，四合） 陈橘皮（热水浸泡去掉白色内瓤焙干，一两） 麦门冬（去掉心焙干，二两） 粟米（半合）
以上四味药，粗捣筛碎，每次服用五钱匕，用水二盏，加入薤白两根拍碎，煎煮至一盏，滤去药渣温服，早晚各一次。
治疗乳石发动，干呕。枳壳汤方
枳壳（去掉瓤，麸皮炒，五两） 栀子仁（七枚） 豉（微炒，二合） 大黄（切碎炒，二两）
以上四味药，粗捣筛碎，每次服用四钱匕，用水二盏，煎煮至一盏，滤去药渣温服。空腹及晚饭后各服一次，体质强壮者可增加大黄一两。
治疗乳石发动，呕吐不停止的方子。
薤白（一把）
以上一味药，切碎，用水三盏，煎煮至一盏，滤去药渣温服。
治疗乳石发动，呕吐呃逆，咽喉受伤，流出清血者，这是因为睡在温暖处及食用热食所致。方子：
以上情况用冷水饮用，或者用冷石头熨烫咽喉，即可痊愈。
治疗乳石发动，胸胁胀满，气机上逆，这是因为饥饿未进食，药气上冲所致。方子：
以上情况迅速用冷水清洗（身体或漱口），或者吃冷饭，即可痊愈。
Commentary states: Mineral drugs (referring to ancient mineral-based medications, such as the Five-Stone Powder) possess a fierce and aggressive nature. If taken in excess, or if lifestyle adjustments are improper, compounded with disharmony of the Spleen and Stomach where grain cannot be processed effectively, the Qi of the drug will attack upwards, thereby causing vomiting and hiccups.
For treating the activation of mineral drugs, with hot Qi attacking upwards, disharmony of the Spleen and Stomach, vomiting and hiccups, and difficulty in eating. Poria Decoction (Fuling Tang) formula:
Red Poria (Chifuling) [Poria cocos] (remove black skin), Aged Tangerine Peel (Chenju pi) [Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium] (soak in water, remove white pith, bake), Scutellaria Root (Huangqin) [Scutellariae Radix] (slice), Loquat Leaf (Pipaye) [Eriobotryae Folium] (wipe off hairs, lightly roast, each 3 fen), Peucedanum Root (Qianhu) [Peucedani Radix] (remove rhizome head), Bitter Orange (Zhike) [Aurantii Fructus] (remove core, stir-fry with bran), Rhubarb (Dahuang) [Rhei Radix et Rhizoma] (slice and stir-fry), Reed Rhizome (Lugen) [Phragmitis Rhizoma] (slice, each 1 liang), Ophiopogon Tuber (Maimendong) [Ophiopogonis Tuber] (remove heart, bake, 1 fen), Licorice Root (Gancao) [Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma] (roast and slice, 0.5 liang).
The above ten herbs are coarsely pounded and sifted. Take 5 qianbi per dose, add 1.5 zhen of water, 5 slices of fresh ginger, and 1 fen of green bamboo shavings (Qingzhuru). Decoct until 8/10 remains, strain, and take warm after meals before retiring.
For treating the activation of mineral drugs, with accumulated heat forming a mass, swelling below the heart, chest oppression and blockage, and incessant vomiting and hiccups. Goose Fat Decoction (Yanf Tang) formula:
Goose Fat (Yanf) [Anseris Gratiae Adeps] (one piece, pre-boiled), Angelica Sinensis Root (Danggui) [Angelicae Sinensis Radix] (slice and bake), Rhubarb (Dahuang) [Rhei Radix et Rhizoma] (slice and stir-fry), Cinnamon Twig (Gui) [Cinnamomi Ramulus] (remove rough bark, each 2 liang), Peony Root (Shaoyao) [Paeoniae Radix Alba] (1.5 liang), Ginseng Root (Renshen) [Panacis Ginseng Radix], Gypsum (Shigao) [Gypsi Fibrosi Solum] (crushed), Licorice Root (Gancao) [Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma] (roast and slice, each 1 liang), Peach Kernel (Taoren) [Persicae Semen] (20 seeds, soak in water, remove skin and tips, discard double-kernel ones, stir-fry and crush).
The above nine herbs, excluding goose fat, are coarsely pounded and sifted. First, decoct the goose fat in 7 zhen of water to obtain 5 zhen of juice, then remove the goose fat. For each dose, use 2 zhen of this juice, add 4 qianbi of the herbal powder, plus 7 peach kernels and one crushed jujube. Decoct until 1 zhen remains, strain, add a small amount of Mirabilite (Mangxiao) [Natrii Sulfas], boil for two or three boils, and take warm on an empty stomach. Take again at noon. If heat is severe, take four times daily. If goose is unavailable, substitute with white duck; if white duck is unavailable, substitute with black chicken.
For treating vomiting caused by mineral drugs when previous medication is ineffective. Three-Yellow Decoction (Sanhuan Tang) formula:
Fermented Soybean (Chi) [Sojae Preparatum] (3 he, wrapped in new cotton cloth and tied into a bag), Gardenia Seed (Zhizi ren) [Gardeniae Fructus] (0.5 liang), Immature Bitter Orange (Zhishi) [Aurantii Fructus Immaturus] (remove core, stir-fry with bran, 2 liang), Licorice Root (Gancao) [Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma] (roast and slice), Peucedanum Root (Qianhu) [Peucedani Radix] (remove rhizome head), Rhubarb (Dahuang) [Rhei Radix et Rhizoma] (slice and stir-fry, each 1 liang).
The above six herbs, excluding fermented soybeans, are coarsely pounded and sifted. Take 4 qianbi per dose, add 2 zhen of water, and boil together with the bean bag until 1 zhen remains. Then add 1 qianbi of Mirabilite (Mangxiao) [Natrii Sulfas], boil for one or two more boils, strain, and take warm on an empty stomach.
For treating the activation of mineral drugs, with deficient heat, phlegm-fluid retention causing vomiting and hiccups, and inability to eat. Trichosanthes Root Decoction (Gualougen Tang) formula:
Trichosanthes Root (Gualougen) [Trichosanthis Radix], Ophiopogon Tuber (Maimendong) [Ophiopogonis Tuber] (remove heart and bake), Ginseng Root (Renshen) [Panacis Ginseng Radix], Licorice Root (Gancao) [Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma] (roast), Scutellaria Root (Huangqin) [Scutellariae Radix] (remove black heart, each 0.5 liang), Pinellia Tuber (Banxia) [Pinelliae Rhizoma] (wash in hot water seven times to remove slipperiness), Reed Rhizome (Lugen) [Phragmitis Rhizoma] (slice, each 1 liang), Peucedanum Root (Qianhu) [Peucedani Radix] (remove rhizome head, 3 fen).
The above eight herbs are chopped like hemp or millet seeds. Take 5 qianbi per dose, add 1.5 zhen of water and 5 slices of fresh ginger. Decoct until 8/10 remains, strain, and take warm at any time.
For treating the activation of mineral drugs, with restlessness, vomiting, and hiccups. Ginseng Decoction (Renshen Tang) formula:
Ginseng Root (Renshen) [Panacis Ginseng Radix], Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome (Baizhu) [Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma], Trichosanthes Root (Gualougen) [Trichosanthis Radix], Licorice Root (Gancao) [Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma] (roast and slice, each 2 liang), Scutellaria Root (Huangqin) [Scutellariae Radix] (remove black heart, 1 liang).
The above five herbs are coarsely pounded and sifted. Take 4 qianbi per dose, add 2 zhen of water, and decoct until 1 zhen remains. Strain, divide into two warm doses, taking one before morning meal and one before evening meal.
For treating fever from mineral drugs, dry heaves, and restlessness with heat. Pinellia Decoction (Banxia Tang) formula:
Pinellia Tuber (Banxia) [Pinelliae Rhizoma] (wash in hot water to remove slipperiness, slice and bake, 1 liang), Anemarrhena Root (Baiwei) [Anemarrhenae Rhizoma] (stir-fry, 2 liang), Dried Ginger (Ganjiang) [Zingiberis Rhizoma], Licorice Root (Gancao) [Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma] (roast and slice, each 0.5 liang).
The above four herbs are coarsely pounded and sifted. Take 3 qianbi per dose, add 1 zhen of vinegar (Ku Jiu). Decoct until 5/10 remains, strain, and take warm.
For treating the activation of mineral drugs, with restlessness, vomiting, and hiccups. Ginseng Decoction (Renshen Tang) formula:
Ginseng Root (Renshen) [Panacis Ginseng Radix], Licorice Root (Gancao) [Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma] (roast and slice), Ophiopogon Tuber (Maimendong) [Ophiopogonis Tuber] (remove heart and bake), Scutellaria Root (Huangqin) [Scutellariae Radix] (remove black heart), Reed Rhizome (Lugen) [Phragmitis Rhizoma] (remove soil, slice and bake), Trichosanthes Fruit (Gualou) [Trichosanthis Fructus] (slice and stir-fry, each 1 liang).
The above six herbs are coarsely pounded and sifted. Take 3 qianbi per dose, add 1 zhen of water, and decoct until 7/10 remains. Strain and take warm on an empty stomach.
For treating the activation of mineral drugs, with incessant vomiting and inability to eat. Allium Tuberosum Drink (Xiebai Yin) formula:
Fermented Soybean (Chi) [Sojae Preparatum] (lightly stir-fried, 4 he), Aged Tangerine Peel (Chenju pi) [Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium] (soak in water, remove white pith and bake, 1 liang), Ophiopogon Tuber (Maimendong) [Ophiopogonis Tuber] (remove heart and bake, 2 liang), Millet (Sumi) [Panicum miliaceum] (0.5 he).
The above four herbs are coarsely pounded and sifted. Take 5 qianbi per dose, add 2 zhen of water and two smashed stems of Allium tuberosum (Xiebai). Decoct until 1 zhen remains, strain, and take warm, once in the morning and once in the evening.
For treating the activation of mineral drugs, with dry heaves. Bitter Orange Decoction (Zhike Tang) formula:
Bitter Orange (Zhike) [Aurantii Fructus] (remove core, stir-fry with bran, 5 liang), Gardenia Seed (Zhizi ren) [Gardeniae Fructus] (7 seeds), Fermented Soybean (Chi) [Sojae Preparatum] (lightly stir-fried, 2 he), Rhubarb (Dahuang) [Rhei Radix et Rhizoma] (slice and stir-fry, 2 liang).
The above four herbs are coarsely pounded and sifted. Take 4 qianbi per dose, add 2 zhen of water, and decoct until 1 zhen remains. Strain and take warm. Take once on an empty stomach and once in the late afternoon. For robust individuals, increase Rhubarb by 1 liang.
Formula for treating incessant vomiting due to mineral drugs:
Allium tuberosum (Xiebai) [Allii Macrostemonis Bulbus] (one handful).
The above single herb is chopped, added to 3 zhen of water, and decocted until 1 zhen remains. Strain and take warm.
For treating the activation of mineral drugs, with vomiting and hiccups, injury to the throat, and discharge of clear blood, caused by sleeping in warmth and consuming hot food:
Drink cold water, or apply cold stones to the throat for soothing. This will cure the condition.
For treating the activation of mineral drugs, with fullness in the chest and hypochondrium, and upward counterflow of Qi, caused by fasting without eating and the upward rush of drug Qi:
Quickly wash with cold water (body or mouth) or consume cold rice. This will cure the condition.
