论曰足阳明经入上齿中，还出侠口，环唇，下交承浆，手太阳经循颈上颊至目锐 。此
二经为风寒所中，使经筋缩急，牵引于颊，故为口 僻不正，言语謇涩，目不能平视也。
治产后中风，口 ，附子汤方
附子（炮裂去皮脐） 干姜（炮各四两） 桂（去粗皮） 麻黄（去根节煎掠去沫焙各
一两）
上五味，锉如麻豆，每服五钱匕，水一盏半，煎七分，去滓温服，不拘时。
治产后中风，口面 僻，葛根汤方

上七味，锉如麻豆，每服五钱匕，水一盏半，入生姜半分切，煎七分，去滓温服，不

上九味，捣罗为散研匀，每服二钱匕，空心薄荷酒调下。
论述说：足阳明胃经进入上齿中，折返出来夹行于口唇两侧，环绕嘴唇，向下交会于承浆穴；手太阳小肠经循行颈部上行至面颊，到达目外角。这两条经脉被风寒邪气所侵袭，导致经筋收缩拘急，牵引面部肌肉，因此出现口眼歪斜、言语不清、眼睛不能平视的症状。
治疗产后中风引起的口眼歪斜，附子汤方：

以上五味药，锉碎如麻豆大小，每次服用五钱匕，加水一盏半，煎煮至七分，滤去药渣，温服，不限定时间。
治疗产后中风引起的口面歪斜，葛根汤方：
葛根（锉碎）一两，防风（去除叉枝）一两，枳实（去除瓤，麸炒）一两半，附子（炮制裂开，去皮和脐）一两，独活一两。
以上七味药，锉碎如麻豆大小，每次服用五钱匕，加水一盏半，加入切碎的生姜半分，煎煮至七分，滤去药渣，温服，不限定时间。
治疗产后中风引起的口面歪斜，人参汤方：
人参，防己，麻黄（去除根节，煎煮后掠去浮沫，焙干），芍药，川芎，甘草，黄芩（去除黑心），白术（锉碎）。
以上十一味药，锉碎如麻豆大小，每次服用五钱匕，加水一盏半，加入像枣核大小的生姜一片，煎煮至七分，滤去药渣，温服，不限定时间。
治疗产后中风引起的口面歪斜，言语涩滞不利，地黄汤方：
生地黄汁，竹沥（半斤），独活（去除芦头）一两半。
以上三味药，将独活粗捣筛过，每次服用三钱匕，加水一盏，煎煮至六分，加入生地黄汁和竹沥各一合。再煎煮取七分，滤去药渣，温服，不限定时间。
治疗产后中风引起的口面歪斜，言语涩滞，筋脉拘急，独活汤方：
独活（去除芦头）一两半，枳壳（去除瓤，麸炒），川芎，当归（切，焙干）各一两，竹沥（半碗），细辛。
以上九味药，将前八味药粗捣筛过，每次服用三钱匕，加水一盏半，煎煮至一盏，加入竹沥一合，再煎煮至七分，滤去药渣，温服，不限定时间。
治疗产后中风引起的口面歪斜，手足瘫痪，言语涩滞，神志昏昧，小续命汤方：
甘草（炙），桂枝（去除粗皮）各一两，麻黄（去除根节，煎煮后掠去浮沫，焙干）三两，川芎，当归（锉，炒），干姜。
以上九味药，粗捣筛过，每次服用三钱匕，加水一盏半，煎煮七分，滤去药渣，温服，不限定时间。

竹沥（半两），防风（去除叉枝）一两半，升麻一两一分，羌活（去除芦头），桂枝（去除粗皮），川芎，杏仁（炒，去皮尖八十枚）。
以上九味药，除竹沥外，粗捣筛过，每次服用三钱匕，加水一盏，煎煮至七分，滤去药渣，加入竹沥半合。再煎煮至七分，温服，不限定时间。
治疗产后中风引起的口眼歪斜，言语不利，筋脉拘急，桂心汤方：
桂枝（去除粗皮）三分，升麻，防风（去除叉枝），麻黄（去除根节，煎煮后掠去浮沫，焙干）各一两，川芎，羚羊角。
以上六味药，粗捣筛过，每次服用三钱匕，加水一盏，煎煮至七分，滤去药渣，加入竹沥半合，再煎煮三沸，温服，不限定时间。
治疗产后中风引起的口眼歪斜，舌体僵硬，牵引反张，以及风寒湿痹阻，身体强痛，紫石英饮方：
紫石英（捣碎），白石英（捣碎），赤石英（捣碎），桂枝（去除粗皮），石膏（捣碎），葛根，川芎，赤石脂。
以上十一味药，粗捣筛过，每次服用五钱匕，加水一盏半，生姜三片，煎煮至一盏，滤去药渣，不限时间温服。
治疗产后中风引起的口眼歪斜，筋脉不利，天麻散方：
天麻，荆芥穗，生干地黄（焙干），独活（去除芦头），当归（切，焙干），桂枝（去除粗皮），白僵蚕（炒）。
以上九味药，捣碎过筛研匀，每次服用二钱匕，空腹时用薄荷酒调服。
Commentary states: The Foot-Yangming Stomach Meridian enters the upper teeth, returns to emerge flanking the mouth, circles the lips, and descends to intersect at Chengjiang (CV24). The Hand-Taiyang Small Intestine Meridian follows the neck upward to the cheek and reaches the outer canthus of the eye. When these two meridians are struck by Wind-Cold pathogens, the sinews and tendons contract and become tense, pulling on the facial muscles. Consequently, deviation of the mouth and eyes (facial paralysis), slurred speech, and the inability to gaze straight ahead occur.
Treatment for Postpartum Stroke with Facial Deviation, Fuzi Decoction:
Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata) [prepared, cracked, skin and umbilicus removed] 4 liang; Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Praeparatum) [prepared] 4 liang; Guizhi (Cinnamomi Ramulus) [bark removed] 1 liang; Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba) [roots and joints removed, boiled to remove foam, dried] 1 liang.
The above five herbs are chopped like hemp seeds. Each dose consists of 5 qianbi (approx. 5-10g depending on era/measure), boiled in 1.5 zhan of water until reduced to 0.7 zhan. Strain and take warm, without restriction on time.
Treatment for Postpartum Stroke with Facial Deviation, Gegen Decoction:
Gegen (Puerariae Lobatae Radix) [chopped] 1 liang; Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix) [forks removed] 1 liang; Zhishi (Aurantii Fructus Immaturus) [pulp removed, stir-fried with bran] 1.5 liang; Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata) [prepared, cracked, skin and umbilicus removed] 1 liang; Duhuo (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix) 1 liang.
The above seven herbs are chopped like hemp seeds. Each dose consists of 5 qianbi, boiled in 1.5 zhan of water with 0.5 fen of sliced fresh ginger until reduced to 0.7 zhan. Strain and take warm, without restriction on time.
Treatment for Postpartum Stroke with Facial Deviation, Renshen Decoction:
Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma); Fangji (Stephaniae Tetrandrae Radix); Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba) [roots and joints removed, boiled to remove foam, dried]; Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix); Xiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma); Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma); Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix) [black heart removed]; Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma) [chopped].
The above eleven herbs are chopped like hemp seeds. Each dose consists of 5 qianbi, boiled in 1.5 zhan of water with a piece of fresh ginger the size of a jujube pit until reduced to 0.7 zhan. Strain and take warm, without restriction on time.
Treatment for Postpartum Stroke with Facial Deviation and Slurred Speech, Dihuang Decoction:
Shengdihuang Zhi (Jus Radicis Rehmanniae Recens); Zhuli (Succus Bambusae); Duhuo (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix) [rhizome head removed] 1.5 liang.
The above three ingredients: coarse-powder and sieve the Duhuo. Each dose consists of 3 qianbi, boiled in 1 zhan of water until reduced to 0.6 zhan. Add 1 he each of Shengdihuang Zhi and Zhuli. Boil again to obtain 0.7 zhan. Strain and take warm, without restriction on time.
Treatment for Postpartum Stroke with Facial Deviation, Slurred Speech, and Tense Sinews, Duhuo Decoction:
Duhuo (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix) [rhizome head removed] 1.5 liang; Zhike (Aurantii Fructus) [pulp removed, stir-fried with bran]; Xiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma); Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) [sliced, dried] each 1 liang; Zhuli (Succus Bambusae) half bowl; Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma).
The above nine herbs: coarse-powder and sieve the first eight. Each dose consists of 3 qianbi, boiled in 1.5 zhan of water until reduced to 1 zhan. Add 1 he of Zhuli. Boil again to obtain 0.7 zhan. Strain and take warm, without restriction on time.
Treatment for Postpartum Stroke with Facial Deviation, Limb Paralysis, Slurred Speech, and Confusion, Xiaoxuming Decoction:
Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) [roasted]; Guizhi (Cinnamomi Ramulus) [bark removed] each 1 liang; Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba) [roots and joints removed, boiled to remove foam, dried] 3 liang; Xiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma); Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) [chopped, stir-fried]; Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma).
The above nine herbs are coarse-powdered and sieved. Each dose consists of 3 qianbi, boiled in 1.5 zhan of water until reduced to 0.7 zhan. Strain and take warm, without restriction on time.
Treatment for Postpartum Stroke with Facial Deviation, Slurred Speech, and Limb Paralysis, Zhuli Decoction:
Zhuli (Succus Bambusae) half liang; Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix) [forks removed] 1.5 liang; Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma) 1 liang 1 fen; Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix) [rhizome head removed]; Guizhi (Cinnamomi Ramulus) [bark removed]; Xiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma); Xingren (Armeniacae Semen Amarum) [stir-fried, skin and tips removed] 80 pieces.
The above nine herbs: except for Zhuli, coarse-powder and sieve. Each dose consists of 3 qianbi, boiled in 1 zhan of water until reduced to 0.7 zhan. Strain and add 0.5 he of Zhuli. Boil again to obtain 0.7 zhan. Take warm, without restriction on time.
Treatment for Postpartum Stroke with Facial Deviation, Slurred Speech, and Tense Sinews, Guixin Decoction:
Guizhi (Cinnamomi Ramulus) [bark removed] 3 fen; Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma); Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix) [forks removed]; Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba) [roots and joints removed, boiled to remove foam, dried] each 1 liang; Xiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma); Lingyangjiao (Saigae Tataricae Cornu).
The above six herbs are coarse-powdered and sieved. Each dose consists of 3 qianbi, boiled in 1 zhan of water until reduced to 0.7 zhan. Strain and add 0.5 he of Zhuli. Boil for three boils. Take warm, without restriction on time.
Treatment for Postpartum Stroke with Facial Deviation, Stiff Tongue, Trismus and Opisthotonos, as well as Bi Syndrome due to Wind-Cold-Dampness with Body Stiffness and Pain, Zhi Shiyin Decoction:
Zhi Shiyin (Fluorite Drink): Zhi Shiyin (Fluoritum) [crushed]; Bai Shiyin (Fluoritum Album) [crushed]; Chi Shiyin (Fluoritum Rubrum) [crushed]; Guizhi (Cinnamomi Ramulus) [bark removed]; Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum) [crushed]; Gegen (Puerariae Lobatae Radix); Xiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma); Chishizhi (Halloysitum Rubrum).
The above eleven herbs are coarse-powdered and sieved. Each dose consists of 5 qianbi, boiled in 1.5 zhan of water with three slices of fresh ginger until reduced to 1 zhan. Strain and take warm, without restriction on time.
Treatment for Postpartum Stroke with Facial Deviation and Sinew Dysfunction, Tianma Powder:
Tianma (Gastrodiae Rhizoma); Jingjie Sui (Perillae Folium cum Flores); Sheng Gan Dihuang (Radix Rehmanniae Preparata) [dried]; Duhuo (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix) [rhizome head removed]; Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) [sliced, dried]; Guizhi (Cinnamomi Ramulus) [bark removed]; Bai Jiangcan (Bombyx Batryticatus) [stir-fried].
The above nine herbs are pounded, sifted, and ground into a uniform powder. Each dose consists of 2 qianbi, taken on an empty stomach with mint-infused wine.
