Commentary states: Following recent childbirth, water and blood descend simultaneously, causing a sudden depletion of body fluids (Jin-Ye). The Qi and meridians are not yet smooth and harmonious, which is why milk secretion fails to occur. If one can regulate the Chong and Ren vessels, and treat the deficiency of the Hand-Taiyin Lung Meridian and Hand-Shaoyang Sanjiao Meridian, the milk pathways will naturally flow freely. However, if the meridians are deficient and Qi circulation is blocked, even aggressive treatment will be of no benefit.
