以上三味药，等量混合，捣碎过筛制成散剂。一个月至一百天的婴儿，每次服用“一字”量的药粉，用乳汁调服；半年至一岁的幼儿，每次服用“半钱”量的药粉，也可以用米汤调服。每日服用五次，不限时间，根据患儿的大小增减剂量。另外，取半钱药粉用乳汁调匀，涂抹在患儿手心及肚脐中，也可以按摩患儿的头顶及背部。此法非常有效。
