论曰小儿阴核气结肿大者， 疝也。由禀受之初，肝经虚弱，因啼怒 气，气脉下坠，
击于阴器，则筋脉缓纵，结聚不散，是为 疝也。若气偏虚，则其肿亦偏，盖足厥阴肝之经，
环阴器，抵少腹，是动则为 疝少腹痛之疾。
治小儿气 ，土瓜根汤方
土瓜根 当归（切焙） 芍药（各半两）
上三味，粗捣筛，一二岁儿，每服一钱匕，水半盏，煎至三分，去滓分温二服，空心日
晚再服，量儿大小加减。
治小儿 疝。薏苡仁散方
薏苡仁 芍药 土瓜根 蛇床子（微炒） 黄芩（去黑心） 桔梗（炒） 蛇含（各三

上七味，捣罗为散，一二岁儿，每服半钱匕，空心温酒调下，日午晚后再服，量大小加

治小儿 疝攻注连肾，外囊肿胀，或疼痛偏坠。昆布丸方

上四味，捣研为末，白面糊和丸，如绿豆大。五岁以下，每服五丸，五岁以上七丸。豆
蔻酒下，空心临卧服。
治小儿阴 偏大。白头翁根敷方
上取生白头翁根捣，随偏肿处敷一宿，当作疮，二十日愈。
治小儿阴 。苋菜根敷方
上取苋菜根，捣碎敷之，立瘥。马鞭草敷，亦佳。

论述说：小儿阴囊睾丸结块肿大的，称为疝。这是由于先天禀赋不足，肝经虚弱，因啼哭愤怒导致气机逆乱，气脉下坠，冲击阴器，致使筋脉松弛纵缓，结聚不散，这就形成了疝。如果气偏虚，那么肿胀也偏向一侧，因为足厥阴肝经环绕阴器，抵少腹，一经发生变动就会引起疝和少腹痛的疾病。
治疗小儿气疝的土瓜根汤方：
土瓜根、当归（切后焙干）、芍药（各半两）。
以上三味药，粗捣筛过，一至二岁的幼儿，每次服用一钱匕，加水半盏，煎至三分，去渣，分两次温服，空腹早晚再服，根据幼儿大小增减剂量。
治疗小儿疝的薏苡仁散方：
薏苡仁、芍药、土瓜根、蛇床子（微炒）、黄芩（去掉黑心）、桔梗（炒）、蛇含（各三分）。
以上七味药，捣碎过筛为散，一至二岁的幼儿，每次服用半钱匕，空腹用温酒调服，日午晚后再服，根据大小增减剂量。
治疗小儿阴疝的狐阴丸方：
狐阴（一个，炙黄）、蜚生虫（十四个，微炙）、桂（去掉粗皮）、附子（炮裂去皮脐）、干姜（炮制）、蒺藜子（炒去刺）、细辛（去苗，各三分）、桃仁（热水浸去皮尖双仁炒后别研）、卷柏（各一两半）。
以上九味药，捣研为末，炼蜜和丸，如麻子大，一至二岁的幼儿，米饮送服五丸，空腹早晚各服一次，根据大小增减剂量。
治疗小儿阴气疝，发作有定时的芍药丸方：
芍药、大黄（锉炒，各半两）、赤茯苓（去掉黑皮）、半夏（热水洗去滑液焙干）、桂（去掉粗皮）、蜀椒（去掉目及闭口炒出汗，各三分）。
以上六味药，捣罗为末，炼蜜和丸，如绿豆大，三至四岁的幼儿，食前米饮送服五丸，每日三次，根据幼儿大小增减剂量。
治疗小儿阴疝偏肿的牡丹丸方：
牡丹皮、豉（炒）、防风（去叉）、黄柏（去掉粗皮微炙）、滑石（别研）、桂（去掉粗皮，各一分）。
以上六味药，捣罗为末，炼蜜和丸，如麻子大，一至二岁的幼儿，每次服用五丸，米饮送服，早晨日晚各服一次，根据大小增减剂量。
治疗小儿阴疝的韭子丸方：
韭子（炒三两半）、附子（炮裂去皮脐三分）、狐阴（一个，炙黄）。

治疗小儿阴疝肿硬的桂心散方：
桂心（半两）、地肤子（一两）、白术（一两）。
以上三味药，捣罗为细末，三岁幼儿，每次以温酒调下半钱匕，每日三次，根据幼儿大小，酌情增减。
治疗小儿疝气攻注连肾，外囊肿胀，或疼痛偏坠的昆布丸方：
昆布（三分，洗去咸味）、香子（半两微炒）、木香、甘草（炙微赤锉）、黄柏（锉）、丁香、烂牡蛎（生用）、铜青（以上各一分）。
以上八味药，捣罗为末，用熟枣肉为丸，如麻子大，每一二岁幼儿，煎甘草汤送服三丸，根据幼儿大小，酌情增减。
治疗小儿疝肿痛的方剂：
枳壳（三两微炒）。
以上一味药，捣罗为散，每次服用一字匕，煨葱米饮调下，不拘时候。
治疗小儿疝的蓖麻丸方：
蓖麻仁（三十枚）、棘刚子（去皮二十枚）、石燕子（烧一枚）、滑石（末二钱匕）、麝香（研半钱匕）。
以上五味药，捣研均匀，稀面糊和丸，如绿豆大，每次服用十五丸，空腹煎灯心草汤送服，一服即消。
治疗小儿疝，发作疼痛的木通散方：
木通（锉）、胆矾（研，各一分）。
以上二味药，捣研为散，每次服用半钱匕，米饮调下。
治疗小儿疝，肿硬疼痛的滑石丸方：
滑石（碎）、泽兰（各二钱）、粉霜（一钱）、续随子（去皮半两）。
以上四味药，捣研为末，白面糊和丸，如绿豆大。五岁以下，每次服用五丸，五岁以上七丸。豆蔻酒送服，空腹临卧服。
治疗小儿阴疝偏大的白头翁根敷方：
取生白头翁根捣烂，随偏肿处敷贴一夜，当作疮，二十日痊愈。
治疗小儿阴疝的苋菜根敷方：
取苋菜根，捣碎敷之，立即痊愈。马鞭草敷贴，也很好。
治疗小儿阴核气结肿大，或偏肿疼痛的漆燕散方：
漆燕（一枚放入瓦瓶子内，用盐泥固济阴干，炭火烧令通赤为度，放冷取出研令细）、续随子（去皮一分）。
以上二味药，捣研为细散，每次服用半钱匕，米饮调下。
治疗小儿肝经虚弱，筋脉缓纵，气脉下坠，阴器肿大，久成疝的三应散方：
香虫（一枚研汁）、腻粉（二钱匕）、胡黄连（末一分）。

Commentary states: In children, the swelling and enlargement of the scrotal testicles due to qi stagnation and knotting is called Shan (hernia). This arises from congenital deficiency, where the Liver Channel is weak. Due to crying or anger, qi becomes rebellious and descends, striking the external genitalia. This causes the sinews and vessels to become lax and relaxed, leading to accumulation that does not disperse, thus forming Shan. If qi is deficient on one side, the swelling will also be unilateral, as the Foot Jueyin Liver Channel encircles the external genitalia and reaches the lower abdomen; when this channel is disturbed, it results in diseases such as Shan and pain in the lower abdomen.
Formula for Earth Melon Root Decoction (Tugua Gen Tang) to treat pediatric qi-Shan:
Trichosanthes radices (Tugua Gen), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui) [cut and roasted], Paeoniae Radix Alba (Shaoyao) [each 0.5 liang].
The above three herbs are coarsely crushed and sifted. For infants aged one to two years, administer 1 qianbi per dose with half a zhan of water, decoct until reduced to one-third, remove the dregs, and divide into two warm doses. Akebiae Caulis (Mutong) [cut], Chalcanthum (Danfan) [ground, each 1 fen].
The above two herbs are crushed and ground into powder. Administer 0.5 qianbi per dose, mixed with rice water.
Formula for Talcum Pill (Huashi Wan) to treat pediatric Shan with swelling, hardness, and pain:
Talcum (Huashi) [crushed], Lycopii Herba (Zelan) [each 2 qian], Fen Shuang (Fen shuang/Calomel?), [1 qian], Euphorbiae Lathyris Semen (Xuisui Zi) [peeled, 0.5 liang].
The above four herbs are crushed and ground into powder. Mix with white flour paste to form pills the size of mung beans. For children under five years, administer five pills; for those over five years, seven pills. Take with Cardamom Wine on an empty stomach and before bed.
Formula for White Peony Root Poultice (Baitouweng Gen Fu Fang) to treat enlarged pediatric Yin-Shan on one side:
Take fresh Baitouweng root, crush it, and apply to the swollen side overnight. It may cause a sore, which heals in twenty days.
Formula for Amaranth Root Poultice to treat pediatric Yin-Shan:
Take amaranth root, crush it, and apply. It cures immediately. Application of Verbena officinalis is also excellent.
Formula for Qiyan Powder to treat pediatric scrotal knotting with swelling, or unilateral painful swelling:
Qiyan (one piece, placed in a clay bottle, sealed with salt mud, dried in shade, burned in charcoal fire until red hot, cooled, and finely ground), Euphorbiae Lathyris Semen (Xuisui Zi) [peeled, 1 fen].
The above two herbs are finely ground into powder. Administer 0.5 qianbi per dose, mixed with rice water.
Formula for Sanying Powder to treat pediatric Liver Channel deficiency, lax sinews and vessels, descending qi, enlarged external genitalia, and chronic Shan:
Xiangchong (one piece, ground for juice), Nifen (2 qianbi), Coptidis Rhizoma (Huhuanglian) [powder, 1 fen].
The above three herbs are mixed and ground until dry. Administer one zi bi per dose, mixed with aged rice water. Take at any time.
