Discussion states: Children who originally harbor "Gan" Qi (a pathological condition characterized by malnutrition and parasitic infection in children) within their bodies, combined with weak intestines and stomach, are susceptible to invasion by cold pathogens, which transforms into dysentery. If the dysentery persists for a long time without cessation, the intestines and stomach become increasingly deficient. Cold and dampness interact mutually, and parasites move restlessly due to deficiency, eroding the fu organs. This may manifest as sores in the mouth and teeth, or injury and ulceration of the anus; hence it is named Gan disease.
Treatment for pediatric Gan disease where the lower orifice (anus) is open, dysentery contains pus and blood, and the area is ulcerated, itchy, red, and swollen. Musk Pill Prescription (Shexiang Wan Fang):
Musk (ground), Cicada Slough (feet removed), Chinese Tallow Tree Pod (skin and seeds removed, roasted), Aloe (ground), Human Bone Ash (ground, each 1 fen), Indigo Naturalis (Ban Liang, ground).
The above six ingredients are crushed and ground into fine powder. First, obtain one toad caught on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, tie its hind legs with a rope, and hang it upside down. Take one cun of Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian), tie it with silk thread, insert it into the toad's mouth, and secure it. Use a non-leaky vessel to collect the toad's saliva from Wu hour (11:00-13:00) to Xu hour (19:00-21:00). Release the toad, retaining only the Coptidis Rhizoma and the saliva. Mix the six powdered ingredients with the toad saliva and pill them to the size of millet grains. Before each dose, wash the child's lower body with warm grain water, dry gently with soft cloth, and support the child in a sitting position. Take one pill, dissolve it in a small amount of breast milk, and administer. After a short while, the child will appear intoxicated; do not startle them, and the parasites will exit spontaneously. If the expelled parasites are white or yellow-bodied with black heads, the disease is shallow and easy to cure. If parasites emerge chaotically all over the body, resembling cut horsehair tails, this is a sign of inevitable death.
Treatment for pediatric Gan sores that corrode the mouth, nose, and lower orifices, presenting critical conditions. Chicken Dropping Alum Powder Application Prescription (Jishifan Fu Fang):
Chicken Dropping Alum (burned to ash and ground).
The above single ingredient: First wash the sore with rice washing water and dry it. Apply the powder to the affected area three times daily.

Hemp Seed (Da Ma Ren, 2 Liang), Black Soybean Yellow (Heidou Huang, 1 Liang), Indigo Naturalis (Qingdai, 8 Ban Liang, ground), Toad (one, burned to ash and ground), Musk (ground, 1 Liang).
The above five ingredients: First grind the hemp seeds, then crush and grind the black soybean and the other four ingredients into powder. Grind together with the hemp seeds until thick like syrup. Add a small amount of Bamboo Sap (Zhuli) and mix evenly. Store in a porcelain container. For mouth/nose Gan sores, take half a spoonful per dose, mixed with rice drink, three times daily. For brain/spinal Gan, apply to the top of the mouth and nose three times daily. If the lower orifice is open, wrap half a spoonful of medicine in cotton and insert into the lower orifice, changing three times daily, adjusting dosage according to the child's size.
Treatment for pediatric Gan disease where roundworms corrode the mouth, nose, and lower orifices causing redness and ulceration:
Hemp Seed (San He), Dried Toad (one), Earthworm (soil removed, stir-fried, 1 Liang), Lepidium Seed (Tingli Zi, stir-fried on paper, Ban Liang), Tangled Hair (size of a chicken egg).
The above five ingredients: Except for the tangled hair, crush the others, mix evenly with the hair, and place entirely into one new bamboo tube. Place on a tile and roast over stove ash fire to extract the drip/juice. Apply sparingly to the child's mouth, nose, vertex, and anus.
Treatment for pediatric Gan dysentery with open anus and sores, using insufflation. Musk Powder Prescription (Shexiang San Fang):
Musk (ground), Coptis Rhizoma (Huoxin removed, ground into powder, Ban Liang each).
The above two ingredients are mixed and ground uniformly. Take a reed tube, insufflate a small amount of powder into the lower orifice.
Treatment for pediatric intestinal parasites corroding the lower orifice. Realgar Powder Prescription (Xionghuang San Fang):
Realgar (ground), Lead Carbonate (Hufen, cooked, Ban Liang each).
The above two ingredients are finely ground into powder. Use half a Qianbi (measure) per application, mix with breast milk, insert into the lower orifice, three times daily, until cured.

The above eight ingredients: First grind the first six ingredients into fine powder. Next, refine the fat into oil, remove dregs, add locust twig, and fry until scorched yellow. Remove the twig, add the six powdered ingredients, and fry into an ointment. Store in porcelain. Apply a small amount to the lower orifice three times daily.
Treatment for pediatric Gan disease corroding the lower orifice. Sophora Root Ointment Prescription (Kushen Gao Fang):
Sophora Root (Kushen, 5 Liang), Mugwort Leaf (Ai Ye, 2 Liang), Celosia Seed (Qingxiangzi), Licorice Root (Gancao, roasted and chopped, 3 Liang each).
The above four ingredients: First grind Qingxiangzi and Gancao into fine powder. Then use five Sheng of water to decoct Kushen and Ai Ye into an ointment. Filter out dregs according to volume, add the two powders, and mix into stick shapes, one cun long, thickness of a chopstick. Dry in the sun, coat with pig fat, insert into the lower orifice, twice daily, until parasites are completely expelled.
Another Prescription:
Take a small amount of iron rust (Tieyi), grind finely, and insert into the lower orifice.
Treatment for pediatric Gan disease, parasites corroding the lower orifice, chronic dysentery with pus and blood, whole-body pain, and facial edema. Sophora Root Pill Prescription (Kushen Wan Fang):

The above six ingredients are crushed and ground into powder. Form pills the size of a small date, insert into the lower orifice, two to three times daily.
Treatment for Gan disease, parasites eating the anus. If treatment is delayed, it often leads to death. Pig Gallbladder Drink Prescription (Zhudan Yin Fang):
Pig Gallbladder (one), Vinegar (Ku Jiu, 5 He).
Decoct the above two ingredients together. Drink according to tolerance on an empty stomach; the parasites will die.
Treatment for children who originally harbor Gan Qi, and due to intestinal deficiency suffer dysentery, where cold and dampness interact, parasites move due to deficiency, invade and eat the zang-fu organs, causing mouth/tooth sores or anal ulceration. Disease name: Gan. Blue Gold Life-Determining Pill Prescription (Qingjin Dingming Wan Fang):
Coptis Rhizoma Powder (Huhuanglian Mo, 1 Liang), Aloe (ground), Indigo Naturalis (Qingdai, ground, 3 Fen each), Areca Seed (Baibinglang, one, ground), Nutmeg (Roudoukou, shell removed, one, ground), Chebula Fruit (Helile, five, pitted and ground), Aucklandia Root (Muxiang, ground), Musk (ground), Cinnabar (Dansha, ground), Litharge (Miduoseng, crushed and ground), Clove (Dingxiang, ground, Ban Liang each), Red Snow (Hongxue, ground), Carpesium Fruit (Heshi, ground, 1 Fen each).
