The Pericardium Meridian of Hand-Jueyin originates in the chest, emerges to connect with the Pericardium (Pericardium), descends through the diaphragm, and successively links with the Triple Burner (Triple Energizer). Its branch follows the chest, emerges from the hypochondrium, descends three cun below the axilla, ascends to reach the axilla, runs along the medial aspect of the upper arm between the Taiyin (Lung) and Shaoyin (Heart) meridians, enters the elbow midpoint, descends along the forearm between two tendons, enters the center of the palm, and follows the middle finger to its tip. Another branch diverges from the center of the palm, follows the ring finger to its tip. When this meridian is disturbed, it causes heat in the palm, spasm and stiffness of the elbow, swelling of the axilla; in severe cases, it causes a sensation of fullness and distension in the chest and hypochondrium, palpitations (dandan dadong) of the heart, red face, yellow eyes, and incessant laughter. This meridian primarily governs diseases of the vessels, manifesting as vexation, heart pain, and heat in the palm. In excess conditions, the Qi Kou pulse is twice as large as the Ying Yang pulse; in deficiency conditions, the Qi Kou pulse is smaller than the Ying Yang pulse.
The Luo-connecting vessel of the Pericardium of Hand-Jueyin is named Neiguan (Inner Pass), located two cun above the wrist crease, emerging between the two tendons of the forearm, ascending along the meridian to connect with the Pericardium. Excess of the Heart system causes heart pain, while deficiency causes vexation; treatment involves needling the point between the two tendons.
The sinews of the Pericardium of Hand-Jueyin originate at the middle finger, run parallel with the sinews of the Taiyin (Lung) meridian, knot at the medial aspect of the elbow, ascend along the medial aspect of the upper arm, knot at the axilla, and descend to scatter anteriorly and posteriorly flanking the hypochondrium. Its branch enters the axilla, scatters in the chest, and knots at the贲 (cardia/upper stomach opening). Disease in these sinews manifests as support-like pain, spasms (zhuan jin) at the sites traversed, accompanied by chest pain and rapid breathing (xiben). Treatment employs burning needle puncture (fanzhen jiesi), with the number of sessions determined by when symptoms improve, and the painful area as the target. This condition is called Mengdong Bi (Early Winter Bi Syndrome).
The Pericardium Pulse of Hand-Jueyin travels from the abdomen to the hand, measuring three chi and five cun in length, totaling seven chi for both sides, comprising eighteen acupoints in total.

Moxibustion: 3 moxa cones.
Zhongchong (Middle Rush) [2 points]: Element Wood. Located at the tip of the middle finger, in the depression about the width of a leek leaf from the nail corner. It is the Jing-Well point of the Pericardium Meridian of Hand-Jueyin. It treats febrile diseases with vexation, stuffiness, no sweating, heat in the palm, body feeling like fire, heart pain, vexation and fullness, and stiff tongue. Needling depth: 0.1 cun.
Generally, the Pericardium Meridian of Hand-Jueyin has abundant blood but scarce qi. Needling should aim to bleed out evil qi. Since this meridian travels from the zang organs to the hands, one must carefully assess the direction of qi flow to apply following or opposing techniques. Excess is treated with draining methods, deficiency with tonifying methods, heat with rapid needling without retention, cold with prolonged retention, and sinking/depressed conditions with moxibustion. If neither excess nor deficiency is present, treat using the meridian itself. This is the method for treating Jueyin disorders.
