Commentary states: The *Neijing* records that sweating followed by exposure to dampness generates acne and miliaria. This is because excessive heat causes sweating, leading to the dispersion of Yang Qi and the loosening of Couli (skin pores and interstices). If one bathes with cold water at this time, the heat becomes internally constrained within the skin and Couli. Mild cases result in miliaria, while severe cases result in acne. Secularly, this is commonly referred to as "miliaria sores." Its presentation involves the skin and flesh appearing as if pricked by fine needles, with widespread tiny sores resembling bran flakes, which heal but recur.
