Discussion: When wind pathogen enters the meridians of the head, it results in "Mu Feng" (Wind affecting the eyes) and "Yan Han" (Cold sensation in the eyes). The essence and qi of the five zang organs and six fu organs all ascend to pour into the eyes. Blood and qi, along with the meridians, connect upwards to the brain. Now, if wind pathogen enters the meridians of the head, the blood vessels become stagnant and obstructed, unable to ascend and pour into the eyes. Furthermore, the Liver governs the eyes and dislikes wind; the Liver requires blood nourishment to enable vision. Now that cold-wind pathogen has invaded and lodged there, it causes Mu Feng and Yan Han.
