论曰肾脏虚损阳气痿弱者。由嗜欲不节，劳伤肾气，精血耗竭，腑脏虚损，血气不能充
养故也。
治肾脏虚损，阳气痿弱，少腹拘急，四肢酸疼，面色黧黑，唇口干燥，目暗耳鸣，气短
力乏，精神倦怠，小便滑数。菟丝子丸方。

治疗肾脏虚寒，外邪突然猛烈侵袭。脐部和腹部疼痛，胀满壅塞闷痛，完全不想饮食，面色萎黄，懈怠无力。使用木香散方。
木香 干姜（炮制裂开并锉碎） 小茴香 桃仁（用汤浸泡，去除外皮和尖头及双仁部分，炒黄称重） 桂心 槟榔 青橘皮（去除白瓤）。
以上十味药，捣碎过筛成为散剂，每次服用二钱匕，用温酒调服，饭前服用，每日两次。
治疗肾脏虚损，精气衰竭，性功能痿弱，腰膝无力。使用五味子丸方。
五味子 菟丝子（用酒浸泡后另捣碎） 鹿茸（去除毛刺后用酥油炙烤） 巴戟天（去除心部） 肉苁蓉（用酒浸泡，去除皱皮，切片焙干）。
以上六味药，捣碎过筛成为粉末，用炼蜜调和制成丸药。大小如梧桐子，每次服用二十丸，用温酒或盐汤送服，空腹服用。
治疗肾脏虚损，腰部沉重无法抬起，阳气痿弱，肢体消瘦憔悴。使用干地黄丸方。

以上二十一味药，捣碎过筛成为粉末，用炼蜜调和制成丸药，大小如梧桐子，空腹时温酒送服三十丸，可加量至四十丸，每日两次。
治疗肾脏虚损，阳气痿弱，肢体无力，意志消沉不畅，小便频数滑泄。使用助阳丸方。
鹿茸（去除毛刺后用酥油炙烤） 菟丝子（用酒浸泡后另捣碎） 原蚕蛾（炒制） 钟乳粉 附子（炮制至裂开，去除外皮和脐部） 肉苁蓉（用酒浸泡，去除皱皮，切片焙干） 黄芪（锉碎炒制） 人参（各一两）。
以上八味药，捣碎过筛成为粉末，用炼蜜调和制成丸药，大小如梧桐子，每次服用二十丸，用温酒或盐汤送服，空腹服用。
治疗肾脏虚损，阳气痿弱，脐腹部疼痛，夜间多尿，脚膝松弛无力。面色黧黑。使用八味丸方。
熟干地黄（焙干八两） 山茱萸 山芋（即山药，各四两） 泽泻 牡丹皮 白茯苓（去除黑皮，各三两） 附子（炮制至裂开，去除外皮和脐部） 桂枝（去除粗皮，各二两）。
以上八味药，捣碎过筛成为粉末，用炼蜜调和制成丸药，大小如梧桐子，每次服用二十丸，至三十丸，用温酒送服，空腹服用。
治疗肾脏虚损，骨髓枯竭，小便频数滑泄，腰背部拘急不舒，耳鸣，面色晦暗。阳气痿弱。使用磁石汤方。
磁石（用火煅烧，用醋淬炼十四次，二两） 附子（炮制至裂开，去除外皮和脐部，一两） 黄芪（锉碎炒制） 五味子 白术 地骨皮 桂枝（去除粗皮） 牡蛎（火煅） 泽泻 白茯苓（去除黑皮） 人参 熟干地黄（焙干，各三分）。
以上十二味药，切碎如麻豆大小，每次服用三钱匕，先用水两盏，加入羊肾一副，去除筋膜切开后，煮取一盏水，去掉羊肾放入药物，并加入生姜三片、大枣两枚劈破，再煎至七分，去渣滓通口服，饭前服用。
补益元脏，增益阳气，使身体轻健驻颜，强壮气血。使用山芋丸方。

Discussion: The syndrome of Kidney deficiency and damage with flaccidity and weakness of Yang Qi arises from unregulated desires, labor-induced injury to Kidney Qi, exhaustion of essence and blood, deficiency and damage of the Zang-Fu organs, and the inability of Qi and Blood to adequately nourish the body.
For treating Kidney deficiency and damage, flaccidity and weakness of Yang Qi, tension and urgency in the lower abdomen, soreness and pain in the four limbs, dark complexion, dryness of lips and mouth, dim vision and tinnitus, shortness of breath and lack of strength, mental fatigue and lassitude, and slippery and frequent urination, use the Tusizi Wan (Cuscuta Seed Pill) formula.
Tusizi (Cuscutae Semen), soaked thoroughly in wine and pounded separately; Guizhi (Cinnamomi Ramulus), coarse bark removed; Lurong (Cornu Cervi Pantotrichum), hair removed and roasted with butter; Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata), cracked by processing, skin and navel removed; Zexie (Alismatis Rhizoma); Shiwei (Drynariae Folium), hairs removed; Shudihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata), soaked in wine overnight; Xuduan (Dipsaci Radix); Sangpiaoxiao (Spermatolocus), soaked in wine and stir-fried; Xiongqiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma); Fupenzi (Rubigeniculae Fructus), branches, leaves, and calyx removed; Wuweizi (Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus) [each half liang].
The above twenty-one ingredients are pounded into fine powder, mixed with paste boiled in wine to form pills, sized like wutong seeds. Take twenty pills per dose, administered with warm wine or salted water decoction on an empty stomach. If there is weakness in the legs and knees, administer with Mugua Tang (Papaya Decoction) and take another dose before evening meal.
For treating Kidney deficiency-cold where pathogenic qi attacks suddenly and violently, causing pain in the umbilical and abdominal regions, distension, fullness, and oppression, complete loss of appetite, sallow complexion, lethargy, and weakness, use the Muxiang San (Costus Powder) formula.
Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix); Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma), cracked by processing and cut into small pieces; Huaxiang (Foeniculi Fructus); Taoren (Persicae Semen), soaked in hot water, skin and pointed ends removed, double-kernel types discarded, stir-fried until yellow and weighed; Guixin (Cinnamomi Ramulus Cortex); Binglang (Arecae Semen); Qingpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Viride), white pith removed.
The above ten ingredients are pounded and sifted into powder. Take two qianbi (approx. 6-9g) per dose, mixed with warm wine, taken before meals, twice daily.
For treating Kidney deficiency and damage, exhaustion of essence and qi, impotence, and weakness in the waist and knees, use the Wuweizi Wan (Schisandra Pill) formula.

Cishi (Magnetitum), calcined in fire and quenched in vinegar fourteen times (2 liang); Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata), cracked by processing, skin and navel removed (1 liang); Huangqi (Astragali Membranacei Radix), cut into small pieces and stir-fried; Wuweizi (Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus); Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma); Digupi (Phellodendri Cortex); Guizhi (Cinnamomi Ramulus), coarse bark removed; Muli (Concha Ostreae), calcined; Zexie (Alismatis Rhizoma); Baifuling (Poria), black skin removed; Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma); Shudihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata), baked [each 3 fen].
The above twelve ingredients are chopped like hemp or millet seeds. Take three qianbi per dose. First, boil two cups of water with one sheep kidney (lamb kidney), removing fascia and cutting open. Boil down to one cup, remove the kidney, add the herbs, three slices of fresh ginger, and two split jujubes. Decoct again until reduced to seven-tenths. Strain and drink orally before meals.
To tonify the Primordial Viscera, benefit Yang Qi, lighten the body, preserve youthfulness, and strengthen Qi and Blood, use the Shanyao Wan (Dioscorea Pill) formula.
