Method: Take two earthenware pots, coat the inner walls with Gan Tu (sweet clay) until completely dry. The size of the pots should correspond to the quantity of medicine required.
Chishizhi (Red Halloysite), Muli (Oyster Shell), Huashi (Talcum Stone), Shihuangfan (Alunite), Lutu (Halide Soil), Qiuyinshi (Earthworm Droppings) (each 2 liang).
For the above ingredients, take sufficient Cu (vinegar) to cover them. If Lutu is unavailable, salt may be substituted. First, prepare the Gan Tu mud. Wrap each of the first five ingredients (Shihuangfan, etc.) individually in the mud to form balls, ensuring no gas escapes. Then, fire-bake the surroundings of these balls.
Baking for three days is optimal, but one day is also acceptable. Remove the baked balls from the fire, extract the medicines, crush them separately, and sift through silk gauze. Then, mix them equally with Earthworm Droppings and Lutu using vinegar to form a thick porridge consistency; this yields high-quality vinegar. It can be used by mixing two parts vinegar with one part water. Apply this mud to coat the previously mentioned earthenware pots. Zengqing (Azurite) should be as fine as earthworm droppings and as good-colored as Coptis Rhizome; if rare, good Kunlun Lushi (Lazurite) can also treat diseases. Cinnabar should be fresh, and Susa (Arsenic Sulfide) is also acceptable. Magnetite was not used in older versions.
Realgar must always be fried in oil for nine days and nights before being incorporated into elixirs; otherwise, it is toxic. Do not use raw Realgar.

Te Sheng Shi (Special Raw Stone), Zaojiao (Gleditsia Sinensis Fruit), Xionghuang (Realgar), Lilu (Veratrum Nigrum) (equal parts).
Process the four ingredients and sieve them. Take an amount the size of a soybean, place it in a tube, and blow it into the patient's nostril. If sneezing occurs, qi flow will resume and life will be restored. If no sneeze occurs, blow again until sneezing is induced. This medicine can revive the dead.
