病如桂枝证，头不痛，项不强，寸脉微浮，胸中痞坚，气上冲咽喉不得息者，此为胸
有寒也，宜吐之方。
瓜蒂 赤小豆（各一两）
上二味治下筛，取一钱匕，香豉一合，熟汤七合煮作稀粥，去滓，取汁和散，温顿服之
，不吐者少少加，得快吐乃止。（张文仲以白汤三合和服。）
治时气病，烦热如火，狂言妄语欲走方。
甘遂（半两） 白芷（二两） 大黄（四两） 浓朴（八两） 枳实（五枚） 芒硝（三

上六味 咀，以水一斗先煮浓朴、枳实，取五升，去滓，纳大黄煎取二升去滓，下芒
硝更煎一两沸，分再服，得快利止。

治热盛，腹中有燥屎， 语者方∶
大黄（四两） 浓朴（八两） 枳实（五枚） 芒硝（五合）
上四味 咀，以水一斗先煮二物，取五升，去滓，纳大黄煎取二升去滓，纳芒硝更上
微火一二沸，分温再服，得下余勿服。
下血方。
水蛭 虻虫（各二十枚） 桃仁（二十二枚） 大黄（三两）
上四味为末，蜜和合，分为四丸，以水一升煮一丸，取七合，顿服之。 时当下血，不
下更服。
治同前。
水蛭 虻虫（各三十枚） 桃仁（二十三枚） 大黄（三两）
上四味 咀，以水五升煮取三升，去滓，服一升，不下更服。
枳实（五枚） 芒硝（半斤） 大黄（四两） 甘草（二两）
上四味 咀，以水五升煮取二升，去滓，适寒温分三服，如人行五里进一服，取下利
为度，若不得利尽服之。
病症表现类似桂枝汤证，但头部不痛，颈部不强硬，寸脉微微浮起，胸中痞塞坚硬，气逆上冲至咽喉导致呼吸不畅，这是胸中有寒邪所致，适宜采用涌吐法治疗。
瓜蒂、赤小豆（各一两）
将上述两味药捣碎过筛，取一钱匕的药粉，用香豉一合，加熟水七合煮成稀粥状，滤去渣滓，取汁液调和药散，温服一次顿下。若不呕吐，则少量增加剂量，直到迅速吐出为止。（张文仲建议用三合白开水送服。）
甘遂（半两）、白芷（二两）、大黄（四两）、厚朴（八两）、枳实（五枚）、芒硝（三合）
将上述六味药切碎，用水一斗先煮厚朴、枳实，取五升药液，滤去渣滓，加入大黄煎取二升药液并滤去渣滓，再放入芒硝稍煮一两沸，分两次服用，直到大便通畅即止。
（第八首方剂）
治疗热邪炽盛，腹中有燥屎内结，出现谵语的方剂：
大黄（四两）、厚朴（八两）、枳实（五枚）、芒硝（五合）
将上述四味药切碎，用水一斗先煮前两种药（厚朴、枳实），取五升药液，滤去渣滓，加入大黄煎取二升药液并滤去渣滓，再加入芒硝在微火上稍煮一两沸，分两次温服，若已通便，剩余药液勿服。
治疗便血的方剂。
水蛭、虻虫（各二十枚）、桃仁（二十二枚）、大黄（三两）
将上述四味药研为细末，用蜂蜜调和制成四丸，用水一升煮一丸，取七合药液，顿服。此时应当排出瘀血，若未排出可再次服用。
治疗同上。
水蛭、虻虫（各三十枚）、桃仁（二十三枚）、大黄（三两）
将上述四味药切碎，用水五升煮取三升药液，滤去渣滓，服用一升，若未见效可再次服用。
枳实（五枚）、芒硝（半斤）、大黄（四两）、甘草（二两）
将上述四味药切碎，用水五升煮取二升药液，滤去渣滓，根据冷热适宜程度分三次服用，如人行走五里路的时间间隔进服一次，以下利为度，若不能下利则全部服完。
The symptoms resemble those of the Guizhi Tang (Cinnamon Twig Decoction) syndrome, yet there is no headache or neck stiffness. The cun pulse (pulse position at the wrist) is slightly floating. There is a sensation of fullness and hardness in the chest, with qi rushing upward to the throat causing dyspnea (difficulty breathing). This indicates cold pathogen in the chest; it is appropriate to employ the vomiting method.
Gudi (Thistle Fruit), Chixiaodou (Red Adzuki Bean) (each 1 liang)
Process the above two herbs, grind them into powder, and sieve. Take one qianbi (a small scoop measure) of the powder. Use Xiangchi (Prepared Soybean) 1 he, add 7 he of boiled water, and cook until it resembles a thin porridge. Strain out the dregs, take the liquid, and mix with the powder. Take warm in one dose. If vomiting does not occur, increase the dose slightly. Stop once rapid vomiting occurs. (Zhang Wenzhong suggests taking it with 3 he of plain water.)
A formula for treating epidemic febrile diseases characterized by severe irritability and heat like fire, delirious speech,妄语 (incoherent talking), and restlessness with an urge to run.
Gansui (Kansui Root), Baizhi (Angelica Dahurica), Dahuang (Rhubarb), Houpo (Magnolia Bark), Zhishi (Immature Bitter Orange), Mangxiao (Mirabilite)
Chop the above six herbs. Boil in 1 dou of water. First decoct Houpo and Zhishi to obtain 5 sheng of liquid. Strain out the dregs. Add Dahuang and decoct to obtain 2 sheng of liquid. Strain out the dregs again. Add Mangxiao and boil briefly (one or two boils). Divide into two doses. Stop when free stool is achieved.
(Formula No. 8)
A formula for treating excessive heat with dry feces accumulated in the abdomen accompanied by zhenyu (delirium):
Dahuang (Rhubarb) (4 liang), Houpo (Magnolia Bark) (8 liang), Zhishi (Immature Bitter Orange) (5 pieces), Mangxiao (Mirabilite) (5 he)
Chop the above four herbs. Boil in 1 dou of water. First decoct the first two herbs (Houpo and Zhishi) to obtain 5 sheng of liquid. Strain out the dregs. Add Dahuang and decoct to obtain 2 sheng of liquid. Strain out the dregs. Add Mangxiao and boil briefly over low heat for one or two boils. Divide into two warm doses. If defecation occurs, do not consume the remainder.
A formula for treating hematochezia (blood in stool).
Shuizhi (Leech), Mengchong (Blowfly Larva) (each 20 pieces), Taoren (Peach Seed) (22 pieces), Dahuang (Rhubarb) (3 liang)
Grind the above four herbs into powder. Mix with honey to form four pills. Boil one pill in 1 sheng of water to obtain 7 he of liquid. Take in one dose. Blood should be discharged at this time. If not, administer another dose.
Treating the same condition as above.
Shuizhi (Leech), Mengchong (Blowfly Larva) (each 30 pieces), Taoren (Peach Seed) (23 pieces), Dahuang (Rhubarb) (3 liang)
Chop the above four herbs. Boil in 5 sheng of water to obtain 3 sheng of liquid. Strain out the dregs. Take 1 sheng. If ineffective, administer another dose.
Zhishi (Immature Bitter Orange) (5 pieces), Mangxiao (Mirabilite) (0.5 jin), Dahuang (Rhubarb) (4 liang), Gancao (Licorice Root) (2 liang)
Chop the above four herbs. Boil in 5 sheng of water to obtain 2 sheng of liquid. Strain out the dregs. Divide into three doses according to temperature preference. Administer one dose every interval equivalent to walking five li. Stop when diarrhea occurs. If diarrhea does not occur, consume all remaining liquid.
