治疗两脚麻木无力，或出现抽筋、皮肤肌肉感觉迟钝，腹部胀满隆起如肿胀状，按压后不凹陷，心中烦闷不适，不想进食，或者患有寒性疾病的方剂。

治疗突然中风，牙关紧闭不能说话，四肢松弛无力，半身麻木拘挛紧急，风邪侵入五脏，神志恍惚、易怒且情绪无常，手足不能随意活动的方剂。

治疗风毒侵入人体五脏，气短，心下烦热，手足烦痛，四肢无法抬起，皮肤肌肉感觉迟钝，牙关紧闭不能说话的方剂。

以上十八味药，切碎，用竹沥煎煮至剩余四升，分五次服用，刚得病时就需要涂抹膏药，每天两次，痹症缓解后停止（《千金翼方》中无麻黄、川椒、生姜）。
To treat numbness and weakness in both legs, or muscle spasms, insensitivity of the skin and flesh, abdominal distension protruding as if swollen, which does not depress upon pressure, mental distress, loss of appetite, or formulas for cold syndromes.
Zhu Li (Bamboo Sap) (5 sheng), Gan Cao (Licorice Root), Qin Jiao (Rhizoma Gentianae Macrophyllae), Ge Gen (Puerariae Radix), Huang Qin (Scutellariae Radix), Ma Huang (Ephedrae Herba), Fang Ji (Stephaniae Tetrandrae Rhizoma), Xi Xin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma), Gui Xin (Cinnamomi Ramulus), Gan Jiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens) (each 1 liang), Fu Ling (Poria), Fang Feng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Sheng Ma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma) (each 1.5 liang), Fu Zi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata) (2 pieces), Xing Ren (Prunus Armeniacae Semen).
The above fifteen ingredients are coarsely crushed, combined with 7 sheng of water and Zhu Li (Bamboo Sap), decocted to obtain 3 sheng, divided into three doses, aiming to induce sweating (Qian Jin Yi Fang lacks Fu Ling and Xing Ren, but contains 1 liang Bai Zhu).
To treat sudden wind-stroke, trismus preventing speech, flaccidity of the four limbs, hemiplegia with spasms, wind invading the five zang organs, mental confusion, irritability, emotional instability, and inability to control the hands and feet.
Zhu Li (Bamboo Sap) (14 sheng), Du Huo (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix), Shao Yao (Paeoniae Radix), Fang Feng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Yin Yu (Skimmiae Cortex), Gan Cao (Licorice Root), Bai Zhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Ge Gen (Puerariae Radix), Xi Xin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma), Huang Qin (Scutellariae Radix), Chuan Xiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma) (each 2 liang), Gui Xin (Cinnamomi Ramulus), Fang Ji (Stephaniae Tetrandrae Rhizoma), Ren Shen (Ginseng Radix), Shi Gao (Gypsum Fibrosum), Ma Huang (Ephedrae Herba) (each 1 liang), Sheng Jiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens), Fu Ling (Poria) (each 3 liang), Wu Tou (Aconiti Radix).
The above nineteen ingredients are coarsely crushed, decocted with Zhu Li (Bamboo Sap) to obtain 4 sheng, divided into six doses; for those who have not yet sweated, induce sweating; administer when symptoms correspond.
To treat wind-toxin invading the five internal organs, shortness of breath, vexation and heat in the epigastrium, vexing pain in the hands and feet, inability to raise the four limbs, insensitivity of the skin and flesh, trismus preventing speech.
Zhu Li (Bamboo Sap) (19 sheng), Fang Feng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Fu Ling (Poria), Qin Jiao (Rhizoma Gentianae Macrophyllae) (each 3 liang), Dang Gui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Huang Qin (Scutellariae Radix), Ren Shen (Ginseng Radix), Chuan Xiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Xi Xin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma), Gui Xin (Cinnamomi Ramulus), Gan Cao (Licorice Root), Sheng Ma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma [Qian Jin Yi Fang uses Tong Cao]), Ma Huang (Ephedrae Herba), Bai Zhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma) (each 2 liang), Fu Zi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata) (2 pieces), Chuan Jiao (Zanthoxyli Pericarpium), Ge Gen (Puerariae Radix) (5 liang), Sheng Jiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens) (8 liang).
The above eighteen ingredients are coarsely crushed, decocted with Zhu Li (Bamboo Sap) to obtain 4 sheng, divided into five doses. At the onset of the disease, apply medicated ointment twice daily; stop when the bi-syndrome resolves (Qian Jin Yi Fang lacks Ma Huang, Chuan Jiao, and Sheng Jiang).
