广济疗牙疼，巴豆丸方。
巴豆（十枚去皮心熬研如膏） 大枣（二十枚取肉） 细辛（一两末）
上三味相和，研为丸，以绵裹着所疼处咬之，如有涕唾，吐却勿咽入喉中，日三瘥。
崔氏疗牙疼方。
乌头 独活 郁李根白皮（各一两）
上三味切，绵裹以好酒一大升半渍一宿，缓火煎，取一升去滓，看冷热渐含，良久即吐
却，含取瘥，齿痛不问风虫，无不瘥，必须含吐之，不可咽却也，有毒恐伤人，单用乌头独

令患人所患牙齿啮宅东南桑枝一条，教三姓人于桑枝炙三炷，一炷咒之曰，东方有虫子

张文仲疗牙疼验方。
独活（五分） 莽草（二分） 细辛（二分） 附子（一枚）
上四味切，以苦酒五合浸，以铜器中温之稍热，含良久，吐却汁，未差更含之。勿咽汁
，欲食以暖水漱口甚良。
救急疗牙疼方。
莽草 细辛 枳根皮（各三两） 椒（一合汁）
上四味切，以水一升，煮取半升，细细含之，十度永不发，药有毒，不得咽之。含了，
以暖水三五度漱口讫，以胡桐律一豆着痛齿上，风痛虫食并瘥。
必效疗牙疼方。
取皂荚子捣末，以绵裹如弹子大两颗，于酽醋中煮热彻，于牙疼处啮之，冷即易，日三
五度，以瘥为度。
又方
取桃李槐并白皮各等分，以酒煮含之，取定。
姜君疗牙疼方。
白杨皮（一握） 地骨皮（一两） 椒（二七枚） 杏仁（二七枚去皮） 细辛（一两）
生地黄
（二两碎） 好盐（一合） 苍耳子（二两碎）
上八味切，以酒二升煎六七沸，去滓含之，冷即吐却，别含，以瘥为度。
《广济方》治疗牙痛，巴豆丸方。

以上三味药混合，研磨制成丸剂，用棉布包裹后放在疼痛部位咬住，如果有鼻涕或唾液，吐出即可，不要吞入喉咙中，每天三次，痊愈为止。
崔氏治疗牙痛的方子。
乌头 独活 郁李根白皮（各一两）
以上三味药切碎，用棉布包裹，在一大升半好酒中浸泡一夜，用小火煎煮，取汁一升，滤去药渣，待药液冷热适宜时慢慢含漱，过长时间后吐出，反复含漱直至痊愈。牙齿疼痛不论是由风邪还是虫蚀引起，没有不能治愈的，必须通过含漱和吐出的方法，不可吞咽，因为有毒性，恐怕伤害人体。单独使用乌头和独活也可以。
又一方
让患病的人用患处的牙齿咬住住宅东南方向的桑枝一条，请三个不同姓氏的人在桑枝上灸三壮，每一壮咒语说：“东方有虫子，不吃五谷，专门吃牙齿，三个姓氏的人灸治牙痛，蝎虫自然死亡。”每念一次咒语行一次拜礼，然后进行艾灸，患者等人返回，不得回头。
张文仲治疗牙痛的有效方子。
独活（五分） 莽草（二分） 细辛（二分） 附子（一枚）
以上四味药切碎，用五合苦酒（醋）浸泡，在铜器中温热至稍热，含在口中良久，吐出药汁，未痊愈则再次含服。不要吞咽药汁，想进食时用温水漱口很好。
救急方治疗牙痛的方子。
莽草 细辛 枳根皮（各三两） 椒（一合，取汁）
以上四味药切碎，用水一升，煮取半升，细细含漱，十次之后永不复发。药物有毒，不得吞咽。含漱完毕后，用温水漱口三四次，然后用胡桐律如豆大的一点放在疼痛的牙齿上，风痛和虫蚀引起的疼痛都能治愈。
必效方治疗牙痛的方子。
取皂荚子捣成末，用棉布包裹如弹子大小的两颗，在浓醋中煮透热，放在牙痛处咬住，变冷就更换，每天三五次，以痊愈为度。
又一方
取桃树、李树、槐树的白皮各等分，用酒煮后含漱，以求确定疗效。
姜君治疗牙痛的方子。
白杨皮（一握） 地骨皮（一两） 椒（十四枚） 杏仁（十四枚，去皮） 细辛（一两） 生地黄（二两，捣碎） 好盐（一合） 苍耳子（二两，捣碎）
以上八味药切碎，用酒二升煎煮六七沸，滤去药渣含漱，变冷就吐出，再换新的含漱，以痊愈为度。
The *Guangji Fang* treats toothache with the Baidu Wan (Croton Seed Pill) formula.
Baidu (Ten seeds, peel and remove heart, stir-fry and grind into paste) Dazao (Twenty fruits, take flesh) Xixin (One liang, grind into powder)
Mix the above three ingredients, grind to make pills, wrap in cotton, place at the painful site and bite. If there is saliva or phlegm, spit it out; do not swallow into the throat. Apply three times daily until cured.
Cui Shi's formula for treating toothache.
Wutou (Aconitum carmichaelii root) Duhuo (Angelica pubescens root) Yuligen Baipi (White bark of Prunus japonica root) (Each one liang)
Chop the above three ingredients, wrap in cotton, soak in one sheng and half of good wine overnight. Simmer over low heat until one sheng remains, strain off dregs. Gargle slowly when temperature is suitable, hold for a long time then spit out. Continue gargling until cured. Toothache caused by wind or worms will all be cured. Must use the method of gargling and spitting; do not swallow due to toxicity which may harm the body. Using Wutou and Duhuo alone is also effective.
Another prescription:
Have the patient bite a branch of mulberry tree from the southeast of their residence with the affected teeth. Have three people of different surnames moxa-burn three moxa cones on the mulberry branch. For each cone, recite the incantation: "In the East are insects that do not eat grain but specifically devour teeth. Three surnames moxa-burn to cure toothache, scorpion insects will naturally die." Recite once and bow once, then perform moxibustion. The patient and others should return without looking back.
Zhang Wenzhong's verified formula for treating toothache.
Duhuo (Five fen) Mangcao (Two fen) Xixin (Two fen) Fuzi (One seed)
Chop the above four ingredients, soak in five he of Kujiu (vinegar). Warm in a copper vessel until slightly hot. Hold in mouth for a long time, then spit out the juice. If not cured, continue holding. Do not swallow the juice. Rinsing with warm water before eating is very beneficial.
Jiuji formula for treating toothache.
Mangcao Xixin Zhigenpi (Each three liang) Jiao (One he, extract juice)
Chop the above four ingredients, boil in one sheng of water until half remains. Gargle carefully. Ten applications will prevent recurrence permanently. The medicine is toxic; do not swallow. After gargling, rinse mouth with warm water three or five times. Place a bean-sized amount of Hutonglv (Tamarixis fructus) on the painful tooth. Wind-pain and worm-eaten pain will both be cured.
Bixiao formula for treating toothache.
Take Saojiazi (Gleditsia sinensis seed), grind into powder. Wrap two pieces the size of a bullet in cotton. Boil thoroughly in strong vinegar until hot. Bite at the toothache site. Replace when cool. Apply three to five times daily until cured.
Another prescription:
Take equal parts of Taobai (White bark of Prunus persica), Libai (White bark of Prunus salicina), and Huaibai (White bark of Sophora japonica). Boil in wine and gargle to achieve definitive results.
Jiang Jun's formula for treating toothache.
Baiyangpi (One handful) Digupi (One liang) Jiao (Fourteen seeds) Xingren (Fourteen seeds, peeled) Xixin (One liang) Shengdihuang (Two liang, crushed) Hao yan (One he) Cang'erzi (Two liang, crushed)
Chop the above eight ingredients, decoct in two sheng of wine for six or seven boils. Strain and gargle. Spit out when cool, replace with fresh preparation. Continue until cured.
