绿矾石五两，形色似朴硝而绿色。
上一味，置于铁板上，聚炭封之，以囊袋吹令火炽即沸，流出色赤如融金，看沸定汁尽，

屋上马齿菜 昆仑青木香 印成盐
上三味各烧成灰，并等分，又取光明砂少许，于诸药中拌总和下筛为细散，以敷疮上，
干即易之，以瘥止，当疮末瘥以前，不宜食鸡猪鱼肉腥秽酒蒜等，瘥后仍三十日忌酒良。（

必效疗甲疽，赤肉生甲边上裹甲者方。
取瓜州矾石烧令沸，定末敷之，湿即刮却更着，日数易，即消散，窦宣城绰云效，亦主
杂疮有虫有黄水，若得吴白矾石亦佳。若无鸡矢矾亦好。
又疗甲疽疮肿烂生，脚趾甲边赤肉出，时瘥时发者方
黄 （二两） 茹（三两）
上二味切，以苦酒浸一宿，以猪脂五合微火上煎，取二合，绞去滓，以涂疮上，日三两
度，其息肉即消散。（出第四卷中）
近效疗甲疽疮神妙方。
熏黄（悭好者） 蛇皮（烧灰）
上二味等分更和研之，先以温泔清浸洗疮令软，以尖刀子割去甲角入内处， 干，取药
枣栗许大，以敷疮上，用软绵裹之，半日许药湿即易之，一日许即永除，其先痛者，敷药讫
一饭顷，即宜痛定，瘥讫，一二日勿着窄靴鞋，若能断酒及猪鸡鱼蒜面等，其效愈远，其药
不过三四度，永瘥。（箫十四郎中有效）
崔氏治疗甲疽病的方剂：所谓甲疽病，有的因为修剪指甲时损伤肌肉，有的因为指甲过长侵蚀血肉形成疮疡、红肿疼痛，又因鞋袜过窄摩擦损伤四周，导致肿胀流黄水，浸淫蔓延相互传染，五指全部溃烂，逐渐向上蔓延至脚踝，水泡脓液在四周升起如同火烧的疮疡，日夜病情加重，是众多医生无法治愈的疾病。
绿矾石五两，其形状颜色像朴硝但呈绿色。
以上一味药，放置在铁板上，用木炭将其包裹密封，用囊袋鼓风使火势旺盛直至沸腾，流出颜色赤红如熔化的黄金的液体，观察沸腾停止、汁液流尽后，
去掉火源，（若）依前法操作无效，可救急治疗甲疽。
屋上马齿菜、昆仑青木香、印成盐。
以上三味药各烧成灰，并取等分量，再取少许光明砂，与诸药混合均匀后筛成细散，敷于疮上，干燥了就更换，以痊愈为度。在疮疡尚未痊愈之前，不宜食用鸡、猪、鱼、肉、腥秽之物、酒、蒜等，痊愈后仍要忌酒三十天，效果良好。（出自第九卷中）
必效方治疗甲疽，赤肉生长在指甲边上包裹指甲的方剂。
取瓜州产的矾石烧至沸腾，定形后研末敷用，若变湿就刮去重新涂抹，每天数次更换，即可消散。窦宣城绰说有效，也主治杂疮有虫、有黄水的情况，如果用吴地白矾石也很好。如果没有鸡矢矾也可以。
又治疗甲疽疮肿烂生息肉，脚趾甲边赤肉长出，时好时发的方剂。
黄连（二两）、干姜（三两）。
以上两味药切碎，用醋浸泡一夜，用猪脂五合在微火上煎煮，取二合汁，绞去渣滓，涂于疮上，每天三到四次，其息肉即可消散。（出自第四卷中）
近效方治疗甲疽疮的神妙方剂。
熏黄（挑选好的）、蛇皮（烧成灰）。
以上两味药等量混合研磨。先用温淘米水浸泡清洗疮处使其变软，用尖刀割去指甲角向内生长的部分，擦干，取枣栗大小的药粉，敷于疮上，用软棉包裹，约半天时间药湿了就更换，一天左右即可永除病根。先前疼痛的，敷药吃完一顿饭的时间，疼痛就会安定。痊愈后，一两天内不要穿窄靴鞋，如果能戒酒及不吃猪、鸡、鱼、蒜、面等食物，疗效更持久。此药不过使用三四次，即可彻底痊愈。（箫十四郎中有疗效）
Cui Shi's Formula for Onychia (Nail Fungus/Paronychia): The disease known as onychia may arise from cutting the nail and injuring the flesh, or from the nail growing too long and invading the flesh to form a sore with swelling and pain. It may also be caused by narrow boots rubbing and damaging the sides, leading to swelling and the discharge of yellow fluid. This exudate spreads and infects, causing all five fingers to rot, gradually extending upward to the ankle. Blisters filled with pus rise around the area like a burn, worsening day and night. This is a condition that ten thousand physicians cannot cure.
Five liang of Vitriol (Lüfan Shi), which resembles Glauber's salt in shape and color but is green.
Take the above single ingredient, place it on an iron plate, seal it with charcoal, and use a bag to bellows air until the fire is intense and it boils. When the liquid flows out, red like molten gold, observe until boiling stops and the juice is exhausted. Remove from fire. If following this method is ineffective, it can serve as an emergency remedy for onychia.
Purslane growing on roofs (Wushang Machicai), Kunlun Qingmu Xiang (Aucklandia Root), and Yin Cheng Yan (Processed Salt).
Burn the above three ingredients into ash separately, take equal parts, and mix with a small amount of Cinnabar (Guangming Sha). Blend thoroughly and sieve into a fine powder. Apply to the sore; change when dry. Continue until healed. Before the sore is fully healed, avoid consuming chicken, pork, fish, meat, pungent/spoiled foods, alcohol, garlic, etc. After healing, continue to abstain from alcohol for thirty days for good results. Bixiao Formula for Onychia: A formula for cases where red flesh grows on the edge of the nail, wrapping around it.
Take alum from Guazhou, heat until boiling, let it set, grind into powder, and apply. If it becomes wet, scrape it off and reapply. Change several times a day, and it will dissipate. Dou Xuancheng Chuo stated it is effective. It also treats miscellaneous sores with insects and yellow fluid. Using Baiyan Shi (White Alum) from Wu region is also good. If unavailable, Jishi Fan (Chicken Manure Alum) is also acceptable.
Another formula for treating onychia sores with swelling, rotting, and polyp growth, where red flesh protrudes from the side of the toe nail, recurring intermittently.
Huanglian (Coptis Rhizome) (two liang), Ganjiang (Dried Ginger) (three liang).
Chop the above two ingredients, soak in vinegar (Ku Jiu) overnight. Decoct with five he of lard over low heat until reduced to two he. Strain to remove dregs. Apply to the sore three to four times daily; the polyps will dissipate. (From Volume 4)
Jin Xiao Formula: A miraculous formula for treating onychia sores.
Xunhuang (Realgar), Shepi (Snake Skin, burnt to ash).
Mix equal parts of the above two ingredients and grind together. First, soak and wash the sore with warm rice water until soft. Use a sharp knife to cut away the ingrown nail corner. Dry the area. Take a dose the size of a date or chestnut, apply to the sore, and wrap with soft cotton. Change the dressing when the medicine becomes wet after about half a day. The condition should be permanently resolved within one day. For those who experienced pain beforehand, the pain should subside after about one meal's time following application. After healing, do not wear tight boots or shoes for one or two days. If one can also abstain from alcohol and consume no pork, chicken, fish, garlic, or wheat products, the effect will be more lasting. The medicine need only be used three or four times to achieve a permanent cure. (Effective according to Physician Xiao Shisi Langzhong)
