The *Zhouhou Beiji Fang* (Emergency Prescriptions Kept in the Sleeve) treats cases where a person has been beaten, resulting in blood stasis throughout the entire body.
Scrape green bamboo skin (2 sheng), tangled hair (four pieces the size of a chicken egg, burnt to ash), and Yanhusuo [Corydalis Rhizome] (2 liang).
Crush these three ingredients into a powder. Take one he of the powder with one sheng of wine, boil for three boils, and take it all at once. Administer three to four times daily. (Same as content in *Beiji Qianjin Yaofang* and Fan Wang's medical texts.)
Another prescription for treating blood stasis retained in the abdomen due to beating, which persists for a long time without dissipating and causes intermittent attacks:
Dahuang [Rhubarb Radix et Rhizoma] (2 liang), Gan Dihuang [Rehmanniae Radix Preparata] (4 liang).
Crush these two ingredients into a powder and form pills. Take thirty pills with wine, twice daily. Taking them as a powder is also effective. (Found in Volume III of *Beiji Qianjin Yaofang*, Wen Zhong's *Duanju Fang*, and Fan Wang's texts.)
Fan Wang's prescription for blood stasis after being beaten:
Dahuang [Rhubarb Radix et Rhizoma] (2 liang), Taoren [Persicae Semen] (deprived of skin and tip, roasted), Mengchong [Tabanidae] (each 21 pieces, deprived of feet and wings, roasted).
Crush these three ingredients and make honey pills of four units. Immediately place them in one sheng of wine, boil until seven he remain, and take the decoction. (Same as *Beiji Qianjin Yaofang* and *Zhouhou Fang*.)

Jiangye [Ginger Leaf] (cut, 1 sheng), Danggui [Angelicae Sinensis Radix] (3 liang).
Grind these two ingredients into powder. Take one fangcunbi [square-inch spoonful] of the powder with wine, three times daily. (All found in Volume X.)

Dahuang [Rhubarb Radix et Rhizoma] (3 liang), Taoren [Persicae Semen] (30 pieces, deprived of skin and tip).
Cut these two ingredients, add five sheng of water, boil until three sheng remain, and divide into three doses. It should expel pus and blood; if not fully expelled, prepare again. (Same as Wen Zhong and *Zhouhou Fang*.)
Another formula for old blood stasis lodged in various joints or failing to leave the hypochondrium:
Mudanpi [Moutan Cortex], Mengchong [Tabanidae] (deprived of feet, roasted, equal parts).
Grind these two ingredients into powder. Take one fangcunbi with wine, so that the blood stasis transforms into water and is excreted. (Same as *Duanju Fang*, Wen Zhong, *Qianjin Fang*, and *Gujin Luyian*.)
Another formula:
Dahuang [Rhubarb Radix et Rhizoma] (the size of a chicken egg, one piece), Qiuyinshi [Pheretima Excrement] (1 he).
