当归 细辛 芎 （各一两） 麝香（二分）
上十四味锉，以腊月猪脂二升，微火煎三上三下，绞去滓，入麝香，调以敷面上妙。（

上二味，合捣为散，食前以浆水服方寸一匕，日三良。（千金翼木兰皮五两栀子仁六

鸬 矢末，以腊月猪膏和涂之。（千金同）

真珠 胡粉 水银（等分）
上三味，以猪膏研令相和，涂之佳。

马蔺子花捣封之佳。

上三味，捣合如泥，以 浆和如泥，临卧以涂面上，日未出便洗瘥。（千金有木兰皮一

又木兰散方。

上一味，以三年酢浆渍之，百日出，于日中曝之，捣末，服方寸匕，日三。
古今录验主 方
雄黄 硝粉（末） 水银（并等分）
上三味，以腊月猪脂和，以敷面 上，瘥止。
又猝得面 方。
土瓜根 水银 胡粉 青羊脂（等分）
上四味为粉和敷面 上瘥止。
又方
胡粉（二两） 水银（二分）
上二味，和猪脂研匀以敷之。（千金同）
又男女 面生疮方。
黄连（二两） 牡砺（三两熬）
上二味捣筛，以粉疮上，频敷之即瘥。
又疗面 痒肿，白附子散方。
白附子 青木香 由跋（各二两） 麝香（二分）
上四味为散，以水和涂面。（千金翼有细辛二两）
又疗面 气甚如麻豆疮痛，搔之黄汁出，及面黑色黯 不可去之，葵子散方。
冬葵子 柏子 茯苓（等分）
上三味为散，以酒服方寸匕，日三瘥。（千金翼有冬瓜子）
刘涓子治疗面部粉刺（面渣）的木兰膏方。
木兰皮、防风、白芷、青木香、牛膝、独活、藁本、芍药、白附子、杜蘅、当归、细辛、川芎（各一两），麝香（二分）。
以上十四味药材切碎，用腊月（农历十二月）的猪脂油二升，用微火煎煮，反复提举三次后放下三次，过滤去除药渣，加入麝香，调和后敷于面部，效果极佳。（出自第五卷中）
《肘后备急方》治疗面部及鼻部疾病、酒渣鼻（酒渣）的方剂。
木兰皮（一斤，浸泡在陈年三年的酒中，取出后晒至干燥）、栀子仁（一斤）。
以上两味药材，混合捣碎成散剂，饭前用浆水送服一方寸匕的量，每日三次，疗效良好。（《千金翼方》中木兰皮用五两，栀子仁用六两）
又一方
鸬鹚粪便研成粉末，用腊月猪脂调和涂抹患处。（《千金方》记载相同）
又一方
珍珠、胡粉、水银（等分）。
以上三味药材，用猪脂研磨使其均匀混合，涂抹患处效果佳。
《集验方》治疗面部粉刺（面上渣）的方剂。
蒺藜子、栀子仁、豆豉（各一升）。
以上三味药材，捣合如泥状，用浆水调和成泥状，睡前涂抹于面部，日出时洗净即可痊愈。（《千金方》中有木兰皮一斤，《千金翼方》云半斤）
又木兰散方。
木兰皮（一斤）。
以上一味药材，用三年陈的酸浆水浸泡，一百天后取出，在阳光下晒干，捣成粉末，服用一方寸匕的量，每日三次。
《古今录验方》主治面部粉刺（主 ）的方剂
雄黄、硝粉（研末）、水银（并等分）。
以上三味药材，用腊月猪脂调和，敷于面部患处，痊愈即止。
又治疗突然患上的面部粉刺（猝得面 ）方。
土瓜根、水银、胡粉、青羊脂（等分）。
以上四味药材制成粉末调和，敷于面部患处，痊愈即止。
又一方
胡粉（二两）、水银（二分）。
以上两味药材，与猪脂研磨均匀后涂抹患处。（《千金方》记载相同）
又治疗男女面部生疮（ 面生疮）的方剂。
黄连（二两）、牡蛎（三两，熬制）。
以上两味药材捣碎过筛，将药粉撒在疮口上，频繁涂抹即可痊愈。
又治疗面部瘙痒肿胀（面 痒肿），白附子散方。
白附子、青木香、由跋（各二两）、麝香（二分）。
以上四味药材制成散剂，用水调和后涂抹面部。
又治疗面部气色极差如同麻豆疮疼痛，搔抓后有黄色汁液流出，以及面色黑黯晦暗无法去除的症状，葵子散方。
冬葵子、柏子、茯苓（等分）。
以上三味药材制成散剂，用酒送服一方寸匕的量，每日三次，痊愈为止。（《千金翼方》中有冬瓜子）
Liu Juanzi's Magnolia Bark Ointment for treating facial acne (mian zha).
Magnolia bark (Mulan Pi), Saposhnikovia root (Fangfeng), Angelica dahurica (Baizhi), Acorus tatarinowii (Qingmuxiang), Achyranthes bidentata (Niuxi), Angelica pubescens (Duhuo), Ligusticum chuanxiong (Gben - *Note: Text says 'Ben', likely Gaoben/Ligusticum sinense*), Peony root (Shaoyao), Typhonium rhizome (Baifuzi), Asarum heterotropoides (Duheng), Angelica sinensis (Danggui), Asarum (Xixin), Ligusticum chuanxiong (Xiongqiong) (each 1 liang), Musk (Shexiang) (2 fen).
The above fourteen ingredients are chopped. Using two sheng of lard from the twelfth lunar month, simmer over a gentle fire, lifting and lowering the mixture three times. Strain to remove the dregs, add musk, mix well, and apply to the face. This is an excellent method. (From Volume 5)
Zhouhou's Prescription for Facial and Nasal Diseases, including Rosacea (jiu zha).
Magnolia bark (Mulan Pi) (1 jin, soaked in wine aged three years, then dried in the sun), Gardenia fruit kernel (Zhizi Ren) (1 jin).
The above two ingredients are combined and pounded into a powder. Take one fangcun bi (a measure equivalent to a square inch spoonful) before meals with Jiangshui (fermented grain water), three times a day. This is effective. (*Qianjin Yifang* uses 5 liang of Magnolia bark and 6 liang of Gardenia fruit kernel).
Another prescription:
Cormorant excrement (Luhe Shi) powdered, mixed with lard from the twelfth lunar month and applied. (*Qianjin Fang* records the same).
Another prescription:
Pearl (Zhenzhu), Lead carbonate (Hufen), Mercury (Shuiyin) (equal parts).
The above three ingredients are ground together with lard until uniform, then applied. This is good.
Another prescription:
Iris lactea flower (Malinzi Hua) pounded and applied as a poultice. This is good.
Jiyan's Prescription for Facial Acne (mianshang zha).
Cocklebur fruit (Jilizi), Gardenia fruit kernel (Zhizi Ren), Fermented soybean (Chi) (each 1 sheng).
The above three ingredients are pounded together into a paste. Mix with Jiangshui to form a mud-like consistency. Apply to the face before going to bed, and wash off before sunrise. The condition will heal. (*Qianjin Fang* includes 1 jin of Magnolia bark; *Qianjin Yifang* states half a jin).
Another Magnolia Powder Prescription (Mulan San).
Magnolia bark (Mulan Pi) (1 jin).
This single ingredient is soaked in acid juice (vinegar/grain water) aged three years for one hundred days, then dried in the sun, pounded into powder, taken as one fangcun bi per dose, three times a day.
Gujin Luyans' Prescription for Facial Acne (zhu mian ).
Realgar (Xionghuang), Niter powder (Xiaofen - *Note: Likely refers to Alum or similar mineral salt in this context, literally Sodium Nitrate but often confused in ancient texts*), Mercury (Shuiyin) (all equal parts).
The above three ingredients are mixed with lard from the twelfth lunar month and applied to the face. Stop when healed.
Another prescription for sudden onset of facial acne (cu de mian ).
Trichosanthes root (Tugua Gen), Mercury (Shuiyin), Lead carbonate (Hufen), Blue sheep fat (Qingyang Zhi) (equal parts).
The above four ingredients are made into a powder, mixed, and applied to the face. Stop when healed.
Another prescription:
Lead carbonate (Hufen) (2 liang), Mercury (Shuiyin) (2 fen).
The above two ingredients are ground evenly with lard and applied. (*Qianjin Fang* records the same).
Another prescription for sores on the faces of men and women (nan nv mian sheng chuang).
Coptis chinensis (Huanglian) (2 liang), Oyster shell (Muli) (3 liang, calcined).
The above two ingredients are pounded and sifted. Sprinkle the powder onto the sores and apply frequently. The condition will heal.
Another prescription for facial itching and swelling (mian yang zhong), Baifuzi Powder.
Typhonium rhizome (Baifuzi), Acorus tatarinowii (Qingmuxiang), Belamcanda chinensis bulb (Youba - *Note: Text says 'Youba', likely referring to Belamcanda or similar*) (each 2 liang), Musk (Shexiang) (2 fen).
The above four ingredients are made into a powder, mixed with water, and applied to the face. (*Qianjin Yifang* includes 2 liang of Asarum).
Another prescription for severe facial complexion resembling pimple-like pain, where scratching yields yellow fluid, and dark, dull facial complexion that cannot be removed, Kuizi Powder.
Abelmoschus manihot seed (Dongkuizi), Biota seed (Baizi), Poria cocos (Fuling) (equal parts).
The above three ingredients are made into a powder, taken with wine as one fangcun bi per dose, three times a day. The condition will heal. (*Qianjin Yifang* includes Winter Melon Seed).
