药物初次涂抹时必然会有疼痛感，过一段时间就会停止。不要害怕。

蓖麻子（五个，去皮） 研碎加入一匙面粉。用水调和后涂抹。效果很好。
荞麦面用醋调和涂抹。另外用慎火草捣烂敷贴患处。痊愈即止。又用蓝叶汁液涂抹。或者用蓝靛涂抹。非常奇妙。
又用苎麻根捣取汁液频繁洗浴。有效。又有丹毒（一种急性感染性皮肤病，表现为皮肤红肿热痛）遍布全身，各种方法都不见效的。用芸苔菜叶（即油菜）捣烂敷贴。随手可用。
（若热气如火焰环绕肚脐，则会损伤人体）

取竹笋煮汁清洗患处。又烧竹笋皮做成灰。敷贴患处。又取豆豉熬至焦黄研末敷贴。痊愈即止。

傍晚黄昏时分。取一条大黑鱼。小的用两三尾。煮汤。给小儿遍体洗浴。必须七窍都接触到药气。
痘症（天花）。不要嫌弃腥味，而另外用清水灌洗。如果不相信，试着留一只脚一只手不洗。以后痘疹多出在不洗的地方。这是异人传授的方法。不要因为觉得简单而忽视它。
Radix Smilacis Glabrae (Tufuling, 土茯苓) [two taels, dried and powdered], Radix Sophorae Flavescentis (Kushen, 苦参) [five qian, dried and powdered], Folium Cinnamomi Aromaticum Chenbashaun (Chenbashaun, 陈芭扇) [one tael, roasted]. Mix with one cup of natural bitumen for topical application. It can eradicate the root cause.
The medication will cause pain upon initial application, which will cease after a while. Do not be afraid.
Edema (difficult to treat if it starts from the feet and spreads to the abdomen). Cut the roots of *Metasequoia glyptostroboides* (Ouyanshen, 油杉根) into pieces (the inner color of cut Metasequoia branches should be red; white ones are unsuitable). Decoct into a concentrated soup.
Semen Ricini (Bomazi, 蓖麻子) [five seeds, peeled] is ground and mixed with one spoonful of flour. Apply topically with water. Very effective.
Apply buckwheat flour mixed with vinegar. Alternatively, apply crushed leaves of *Aconitum coreanum* (Shenhuaocao, 慎火草) to the affected area. Discontinue when healed. Also, apply juice extracted from Isatis leaf (Lanye, 蓝叶). Or apply Indigo naturalis (Landian, 蓝靛). This is excellent.
Also, frequently bathe in juice extracted from the root of Boehmeria nivea (Zhumaogen, 苎麻根). Effective. For Erysipelas (Dandu, 丹毒) covering the entire body where other methods have failed, use leaves of Brassica napus (Yuntaicaiye, 芸苔菜叶, i.e., rapeseed leaves), crush them and apply as a poultice. Readily available.
(If heat feels like fire surrounding the navel, it damages the person.)
Apply crushed Portulaca oleracea (Machixian, 马齿苋). Also, crush Gardenia jasminoides fruits (Zhizi, 栀子), mix with water, and apply. Also, bathe in decoction of Cortex Mori Radicis (Sangbaipi, 桑白皮), or
(may often lead to death)
Burn old rush mats to ash. Mix with egg white and apply. Effective.
For Chi Bai You Zhen (Chi Bai Youzhen, 赤白游疹, wandering erythema or urticaria-like conditions) and Huo Yan Re Chuang (Huo Yan Rechuang, 火焱热疮, sores caused by fire-heat pathogen).
Crush algae (Zaocai, 藻菜) and apply as a seal/poultice.
For infant Wind Rash (Fengzhen, 风疹) stuck in the skin without erupting, as well as Heat Sores and Erysipelas.
Mix five taels of leaves of *Aconitum coreanum* (Shenhuaomiaoye, 慎火苗叶) with three taels of salt, press to extract juice. Rub onto the area with warm hands.
Mix powder of Ulmus bark (Yupi, 榆皮) with lard, apply on cotton cloth, and cover the lesion. When insects emerge, recovery is immediate.
Apply crushed Isatis leaves. Good effect.
Burn Mugwort (Aiye, 艾叶) to ash and apply. Also, burn cow dung to ash and apply.
Decoct bamboo shoots and wash the area. Also, burn bamboo shoot skins to ash and apply. Also, roast Fermented Soybean (Douchi, 豆豉) until dark yellow, powder it, and apply. Discontinue when healed.
Powder soil from swallow nests. Mix with lard and apply. Change when dry.
Chew chestnuts and apply. Recovery occurs.
Powder the root of Lycium chinense (Gouqigen, 枸杞根). Mix with lard rendered in the twelfth lunar month and apply. Also, wash with decocted horse urine. Scratch the broken skin. Apply saliva from the nose of a cow.
Powder the green bark of peach tree (Taoshu Qingpi, 桃树青皮). Mix with vinegar and apply frequently.
Decoct this herb for bathing. Also use the rinse water for laundry.
At dusk, take one large black carp. If small, use two or three. Boil in water. Bathe the child's whole body in this soup. Ensure the fumes reach all seven orifices.
Regarding Smallpox (Dou, 痘). Do not dislike the fishy smell and wash separately with clear water. If you do not believe this, try leaving one foot and one hand unwashed. Later, more pustules will appear on the unwashed areas. This was transmitted by an extraordinary person. Do not neglect it because it seems simple.
