Frostbite is caused by exposure to severe cold, leading to stagnation of Qi and Blood, resulting in hard swelling and stiffness of the muscles. Rubbing with cold water at this time causes heat to dissipate; it is strictly forbidden to use fire for warming, otherwise sores will form immediately.
[Note] This condition arises from exposure to severe cold air, injuring the skin and flesh, causing Qi and Blood to coagulate, leading to hard swelling and numbness without pain or itching. At the frostbitten site, rub with padded clothing to promote the circulation of Qi and Blood; then frequently wash with cold water until warmth is felt, and the numb area returns to normal patency. If frozen stiff for a long time with persistent nodules, take one piece of ice, wrap it in silk, and apply until the stiff nodules dissolve completely; this is a "following treatment" (treating according to the nature of the disease) method. If exposed to heat immediately after sudden freezing, or entering a warm room, or using fire to warm or hot water to soak, it will inevitably lead to muscle necrosis and deformity, ranging from ulceration to bone exposure and tendon connection. The connected tendons must be cut off urgently, otherwise they will spread to healthy flesh. Initial treatment should employ Renshen Yangrong Tang (Ginseng Decoction for Nourishing Qi and Blood), taken with strong wine; for those already ulcerated, treat according to the methods for carbuncles and ulcers. For cases persisting for years, applying Dusheng Gao (Unique Victory Ointment) externally is very effective.
Dusheng Gao (Unique Victory Ointment)
On the 6th, 16th, and 26th days of the sixth lunar month, crush single-clove garlic into a paste, heat it in the sun, apply it to the frostbitten area, and dry it in the sun. Avoid getting water on the affected area.

Human bites are injuries caused by tooth toxins, characterized by swelling, pain, foul odor, and ulceration that is unusual. Throughout the course, washing with child's urine is always suitable, and Chan Su Tiao (Toad Venom Stick) and Chan Su Bing (Toad Venom Cake) offer the best efficacy.
[Note] This injury occurs because human teeth have consumed roasted or fried foods, gradually accumulating toxicity. Once bitten, the wound swells, hurts, smells foul, and ulcerates differently from ordinary wounds. Initially, soak the injured part in hot child's urine to wash away dental plaque and dirty blood, apply Chan Su Bing (Toad Venom Cake), and cover with Wanying Gao (Universal Ointment); healing occurs when slight pus exudes. If treatment is delayed, rotting pain and swelling occur; continue soaking and washing with child's urine. Then, ignite an oil-paper wick and fumigate the affected area for a long time. Insert a Chan Su Tiao (Toad Venom Stick) sized to the wound, place it like a cake over the wound, and cover with Wanying Gao (Universal Ointment). When swelling subsides, decoct 2 liang of scallion white and 5 qian of Licorice Root (Gancao, Radix Glycyrrhizae) in water, wash once daily, change to Shengji Yuhong Gao (Regenerate Flesh Jade Red Ointment), and cover with Wanying Gao (Universal Ointment) to close the wound. Another method: Immediately after the bite, wash with child's urine and apply feces; when swollen and ulcerated, wash with decoction of Renzhong Huang (Calculus Bovis). This is considered more miraculous than other treatments.
