Impetigo presents in the shape of millet seeds; it itches when erupting and hurts when rupturing. The etiology involves external wind pathogen and internal damp-heat, with yellow fluid exudation spreading and causing recurrence.
[Note] This condition initially resembles millet seeds, accompanied by both itching and pain. Upon rupture, yellow fluid flows out, spreading into patches, and can occur anywhere on the body. It is formed by the interaction of damp-heat in the spleen and stomach with an external wind pathogen. It is suitable to take Shengma Xiaodu Yin (Cimicifuga Decoction for Detoxification). If heat signs are severe, apply Qingge San (Green Shell Powder) externally; if dampness is predominant, apply Biyu San (Jasper Powder) externally, which will be effective. If there are purulent crusts, moisten them with sesame oil; washing with water is contraindicated.

Dangguiwei (Tail of Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Chishao (Red Peony Root), Jinyinhua (Lonicerae Japonicae Flos), Lianqiao (Forsythiae Fructus, heart removed), Niubangzi (Arctii Fructus, stir-fried), Zhizi (Gardeniae Fructus, raw), Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix), Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix), Honghua (Carthami Flos), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Gancao (Licorice Root, raw), Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma), Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix).
For a large dose, use two qian of each herb; for a medium dose, one qian five fen; for a small dose, one qian. Add two zhong of water, decoct until eight fen remains. Take warm, well after meals.
If the sores appear on the head or face, reduce or remove Dangguiwei and Honghua.
[Prescription Verse] Shengma Xiaodu dispels wind and dampness, containing Danggui, Shaoyao, Yinhua, Lianqiao, Niubang, Zhizi, Qianghuo, Baizhi, Honghua, Fangfeng, Gancao, Jiegeng; for impetigo with spreading yellow fluid, taking this gradually resolves it.

Summer Ulcer Boils present with swelling and pain, dizziness, bitter taste in the mouth, and redness of the back muscles. This differs from the fever of carbuncles and ulcers; the fever persists day and night without distinction, resembling fire attack.
[Note] This condition refers to minor boils caused by toxic heat during the summer season. Initially, there is a red halo on the skin of the back and chest, followed by swelling and pain. Fever occurs intermittently but continues day and night without stopping, accompanied by dizziness of the head and eyes, bitter taste and dry tongue, irritability, heat in the back, and limb fatigue. Initially, it is suitable to take Jingfang Baidu San (Schizonepeta and Saposhnikovia Decoction for Overcoming Toxicity) added with Huoxiang (Patchouli Herb), Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma), and Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum). External treatment should follow the protocols for swelling ulcers and ulcerated sores in the Carbuncle and Ulcer sections.
