夹伤即挤伤也，初禁用膏药敷及泥涂等法，恐后必作肿成脓。未受刑之先宜服护心丹，
既受

上为末。每服五分，壮者七分，先饮醇酒至半酣，次用调药服，再饮至大醉为度，静卧
勿语，语则发麻。麻至次日其麻方解。消肿止痛其功甚捷。弱者间一日再服。
代杖汤

Jia shang (crush injury) is synonymous with ji shang (squeeze injury). In the initial stage, the application of plaster and mud coating methods are prohibited, as it is feared that swelling and suppuration will inevitably occur later. Before undergoing punishment, one should take Huxin Dan (Heart-Protecting Pill). After having undergone punishment, the treatment is considered effective when the patient first feels itching, followed by pain. Then, one or two people should gently sweep the patient's instep with a pen tube to assist in promoting blood circulation, waiting until the depressed area at the injury site protrudes and the surrounding swelling reaches a certain degree. At this point, Qiongye San (Nectar Powder) should be administered, accompanied by drinking alcohol until intoxication. The next day, remove the silver cinnabar, apply Qizhen Gao (Seven-True Ointment), and administer Daizhang Tang (Punishment-Substituting Decoction) until recovery is complete. For cases involving repeated severe punishment leading to ulceration, or crush injuries that have not healed for years, apply Qizhen Gao externally and take Daizhang San (Punishment-Substituting Powder) internally, followed by formulas that greatly tonify Qi and Blood, such as Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Shudihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata), and Duzhong (Eucommiae Cortex), to achieve therapeutic success.
First, for those who appear dead from crushing, urgently灌 (irrigate/administer) hot urine into the body, then use raw Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix) seven qian, soaked and peeled, removing the skin and navel, ground into powder, taken in doses of two fen. Each dose is decocted with three cups of wine down to one cup. If Fuzi is unavailable, use half a cup of fresh ginger juice and half a cup of wine, boil together vigorously multiple times, and administer in two doses.
Second, for those with crushed bones, use Tubiechong (Eupolyphaga Steleophaga, sourced from under old wine vats) and live Bie (Trionycis Carapax et Plastrum) pounded together and applied topically, while administering Huxin Dan internally.
Third, for prevention against the crushing stick, use twenty Duhe Xiangfan (Soap Nuts), pound them, remove the skin cleanly, and grind extremely finely. Add five qian of Chuanwu (Aconiti Radix) powder and eight qian of Huangmazi (Cannabis Fructus) powder... Huxin Dan (Heart-Protecting Pill)
Zirantong (Pyritum, quenched in vinegar seven times), Muguaizi (Semen Strychnos, processed), Wumingyi (Haematites), Zhiruxiang (Olibanum, processed), Zhimeiyao (Myrrha, processed), Sumu (Lignum Sappan), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Qiuyin (Hirudo, cleaned of soil), each in equal parts.
Grind all into fine powder, mix evenly, and form pills weighing two qian with honey. Take one pill per dose, dissolved in yellow wine. Another variant includes Rougui (Cinnamomi Cortex) and Tubiechong (Eupolyphaga Steleophaga).
Qiongye San (Nectar Powder)
Select Yangtaohua (Datura Metel Flower), remove stems, calyxes, pistils, and leaves, wash away dust and sand, dry, and lightly stir-fry in a clay pot.
Grind into powder. Take five fen per dose, or seven fen for robust individuals. First, drink pure wine until half-intoxicated, then take the medicated powder, followed by drinking until fully intoxicated. Lie quietly without speaking; speaking may induce numbness. The numbness resolves the next day. This formula is highly effective in reducing swelling and relieving pain. Weak individuals should repeat the dose every other day.
Daizhang Tang (Punishment-Substituting Decoction)
Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Shengdi Huang (Rehmanniae Radix, each three qian), Zhiruxiang (Olibanum, processed), Zhimeiyao (Myrrha, processed), Sumu (Lignum Sappan, each two qian), Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Zhiqiao (Aurantii Fructus, stir-fried with flour), Chuanshanjia (Manis Squama, roasted and ground), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, each one qian).
Decoct with half water and half wine, aiming for a slight sweat. For those with Qi deficiency, add Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma) and Huangqi (Astragali Radix).
Weixin Xiandan (Guarding-Heart Immortal Pill)
Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, three qian), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, one liang), Honghua (Carthami Flos, three qian), Taoren (Persicae Semen, thirty kernels), Shengdi Huang (Rehmanniae Radix, one liang), Danpi (Moutan Cortex, three qian), Mu'er (Auricularia Auricula-Judae, three qian), Baijiezi (Sinapis Albus Semen, two qian).
Decoct in water and take one dose to disperse evil blood. Subsequently, apply a plaster.
Huxin San (Heart-Protecting Powder)
Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, one liang), Meiyao (Myrrha, three qian), Ruxiang (Olibanum, three qian), Bala (Cera Flava, one liang), Songxiang (Pini Resina, five qian), Gusuibu (Drynariae Rhizoma, five qian), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, one liang), Shexiang (Moschus, five fen).
Grind each into fine powder. Take one liang of Zhu Ban'you (Porcine Subcutaneous Fat), melt Bala and Songxiang in the pig fat in a copper pot, mix well with the powder to form a plaster. Apply to the injury site, wrap with oil paper, and bind with thread. Mild cases heal with one plaster; severe cases require two. Severe crush injuries typically allow safe ambulation within approximately four months. These two formulas are miraculous: the internal formula disperses evil blood completely, and the external formula revitalizes necrotic tissue.
