凡溃烂不堪之患，外用药汤（通用洗法。）洗净，撒山莲散，（通用七十三。）内以洞天救
苦丹，（通用五十三。）每服三钱，陈酒送服，醉盖取汗。隔两日又送一服，再隔两日再送一服。
所空隔之两日，以醒消丸（通用四十七。）每日一服。服后毒水流尽，七日后再服醒消丸两次
，接用大枣丸，（通用五十五。）每日早晚各进五钱，最危险者，可奏奇功。
凡痈疽年久不敛，定致翻花，四围起硬肛。治之，取老蟾破腹连杂，以蟾身刺数孔，贴
盖患口，轻者日易一次，重者日易两次。贴蟾之日，内服醒消丸，（通用四十七。）每服三钱，陈
酒送下，止其疼痛。三日后毒尽，再服醒消丸，（通用四十七。）消其翻花，软其硬肛，功效
不凡也。如大患初溃者，亦如前法，其毒则从蟾孔出。倘肛门硬，患孔深，取活牛蒡子草
根枝叶，或取紫花地丁嫩草，捣烂涂入肛内，皆能拔毒平肛。
凡烂孔有恶肉凸起，名曰毒根，往往有用降药烂去者，乃庸医之误也。独不知弱体岂可
增痛。况烂去仍又长出，安可再烂耶。凡遇此证，宜贴平安饼，（通用六十三。）外以膏药掩之，
一日一易，轻者二、三日，重者六、七日，不痒不痛，毒根自落。贴时日服内托散，（通用
二十八。）俟毒根落后，服保元汤、（通用二十八。）四物汤（通用二十三。）收功。
凡是溃烂严重、难以愈合的疮疡，先用外用药汤（通用洗法）清洗患处，然后撒上山莲散（通用七十三）。内服洞天救苦丹（通用五十三），每次服用三钱，用陈年酒送服，服药后覆盖衣物取汗。每隔两天再送服一次，再隔两天又送服一次。在这两次服药之间空出的两天里，每天服用一次醒消丸（通用四十七）。待体内毒水流尽后，再过七天，再次服用两次醒消丸，接着使用大枣丸（通用五十五），每日早晚各进服五钱，对于最危险的病症，也能取得奇效。
凡是痈疽病程长久不愈合，必定会导致翻花（指疮口边缘增生如菜花状），四周长出坚硬的硬肛（指疮口周围隆起的硬结）。治疗时，取老蟾蜍剖开腹部连同内脏一起，在蟾蜍身上刺几个孔，贴盖在患口上。病情轻的，每天更换一次；病情重的，每天更换两次。在贴蟾蜍的日子里，内服醒消丸（通用四十七），每次服用三钱，用陈年酒送下，以制止疼痛。三天后毒气排尽，再服用醒消丸（通用四十七），以消除翻花，软化硬肛，功效非凡。如果是大疮刚开始溃破的情况，也按照前面的方法处理，毒邪就会从蟾蜍身上的孔洞排出。如果肛门部位坚硬，患孔深在，可取活牛蒡子的草根枝叶，或者取紫花地丁的嫩草，捣烂后涂入肛内，都能起到拔毒和平复硬肛的作用。
凡是烂孔中有恶肉凸起，称为毒根，往往有人使用腐蚀性药物将其烂去，这是庸医的错误做法。他们不知道体质虚弱的人怎能承受增加痛苦？况且即使烂去仍然会长出来，怎么可以再让它腐烂呢？凡遇到这种情况，适宜贴平安饼（通用六十三），外面用膏药覆盖，一天更换一次。轻症两到三天，重症六到七天，不痒不痛，毒根自然脱落。贴药期间，每日内服内托散（通用二十八）。等到毒根脱落后，服用保元汤（通用二十八）、四物汤（通用二十三）来收功治愈。
For sores that are severely ulcerated and difficult to heal, first wash the affected area with an external medicinal decoction (General Washing Method), then sprinkle Shanlian San (General Formula 73) over it. Internally administer Dongtian Jiuku Dan (General Formula 53), taking three qian per dose, delivered with aged wine. After ingestion, cover the patient to induce sweating. Administer another dose every two days, and yet another after a further two-day interval. During the two-day intervals between doses, take Xingxiao Wan (General Formula 47) once daily. Once the toxic fluid has been completely drained, wait seven more days before administering Xingxiao Wan twice more, followed by Dazao Wan (General Formula 55), taken five qian each morning and evening. Even in the most critical cases, this regimen can yield miraculous results.
When carbuncles or ulcers fail to heal for many years, they inevitably develop "fan hua" (proliferation of tissue resembling cauliflower) and form hard indurations ("ying gang") around the periphery. For treatment, take an old toad, slit its abdomen including internal organs, puncture several holes in the toad's body, and apply it directly over the sore opening. In mild cases, replace the toad once daily; in severe cases, twice daily. On days when the toad is applied, internally administer Xingxiao Wan (General Formula 47), three qian per dose, taken with aged wine to alleviate pain. After three days, when the toxicity is exhausted, administer Xingxiao Wan (General Formula 47) again to resolve the proliferating tissue and soften the hard induration, yielding extraordinary efficacy. If a major abscess has just begun to ulcerate, apply the same method; the toxin will exit through the holes in the toad. If the anal region is hard and the lesion deep, take fresh roots, branches, and leaves of Arctii Fructus (Niu Bang Zi) herb, or tender herbs of Violae Herba (Zi Hua Di Ding), crush them into a paste, and apply it inside the anal canal. Both methods effectively draw out toxins and flatten the induration.
When foul flesh protrudes from an ulcerated cavity, it is termed "du gen" (toxic root). Some practitioners mistakenly use caustic agents to corrode it away, which is an error by incompetent physicians. They fail to realize that a weakened constitution cannot withstand increased pain. Moreover, even if corroded, the tissue often regrows; how can one justify repeated corrosion? In such cases, it is appropriate to apply Ping'an Bing (General Formula 63) and cover it with a plaster, changing it once daily. For mild cases, this lasts two to three days; for severe cases, six to seven days. The lesion becomes non-itchy and painless, and the toxic root falls off naturally. During the application period, internally administer Neituo San (General Formula 28) daily. Once the toxic root has detached, administer Baoyuan Tang (General Formula 28) and Siwu Tang (General Formula 23) to conclude the treatment and promote recovery.
