夫乳痈者，内攻毒瓦斯，外感风邪，灌于血脉之间，发在乳房之内，渐成肿硬，血凝气滞
或乳汁宿留，久而不散结成痈疽。丹溪云∶乳房所属阳明胃经，乳头所属厥阴肝经。乳子之
母，或忿怒伤肝，或浓味积热，以致气血不流行，窍不得通，汁不得出则结，为肿为痛。阳
明之经血热则化为脓。又有儿口之气吹而 热，次结成核，初起时须便忍痛揉散令软，血脉
通和，自然消散矣。失此不治则成痈脓。治法，初起则当发散流气之药；若已成脓，又当内
托排脓，养血顺气。慎勿妄用针刀，引惹拙病，则难治矣。又有妇人积忧结成隐核，有如鳖
棋子大，其硬如石，不痛不痒，或一年、二年、三五年，始发为疮，破陷空洞，名曰乳癌。
以其深凹有似岩穴也。多为难治。得此证者虽曰天命，若能清心远虑，薄滋味，戒暴怒，仍
服内托活血顺气之药，庶几有可生之理也。
内托升麻汤
治妇人两乳间出黑头，疮顶陷下作黑眼，并乳痈初起亦治。
升麻 葛根 连翘 当归身 黄柏（各二钱） 黄 （三钱） 肉桂（五分） 牛蒡子 甘草
（炙各一钱）
上作一服，水一盅，酒半盅，煎至一盅，食后服。
连翘饮子
治乳痈。
连翘 川芎 栝蒌仁 皂荚刺 橘叶 青皮 甘草节 桃仁（各二钱）
上作一服，用水二盅，煎至一盅，食远服。
百齿霜丸
治吹乳结核不散，肿痛者神效，亦治乳癌。
百齿霜（即梳齿上头垢）
上为丸，如鸡头子大，以黄丹为衣。每服一丸或二丸，好酒送下，如不饮酒白汤送下。
不可化开，亦不可令病患知，极有效验。
十六味流气饮

葛稚川方

上为极细末，以酥调涂贴痈上。
兵部手集方
疗疟乳硬，欲结脓，服此即消。
鹿角
上将鹿角于粗石上磨取白汁涂之，干又涂，不得近手，并以人嗍却黄水，一日许即散。
或用鹿角，锉为极细末，酒调二三钱服亦效。
神效栝蒌散
治妇人乳疽奶痨。
黄栝蒌（子多者一个，去皮焙为细末，如急，用只烂研） 川当归（洗，去芦，焙，切细
，半两） 生甘草（半两） 通明没药（二钱半，另研） 滴乳香（一钱另研）
上用无灰酒三升，同于银石器中慢火熬，取一升清汁，分为三次食后服。如有奶痨，便
服此药杜绝病根。如毒瓦斯已成，能化脓为黄水；毒未成即内消，疾甚者再合服，以退为度。
乳疽之方甚多，独此一方神效无比，万不失一。
究原五物汤
痈疽发背乳痈通用。
栝蒌（研，一枚） 皂荚刺（半烧带生） 没药（各半两） 乳香 甘草（各二钱半）
上粗末，醇酒三升煎取二升，时时饮之，痛不可忍立止。
乳痈方
乳痈初发。
贝母
上为末，每服二钱，温酒调下。即以两手覆按于桌上，垂乳良久自通。
敷乳方
天南星 半夏（生） 皂荚刺（烧带生，各二分） 白芷 草乌 直僵蚕（焙，各一分）
上细末，多用葱白研取汁，入蜜调敷。若破，疮口用膏药贴。
复元通气散
治妇人发乳痈疽及一切肿毒。
木香 茴香 青皮 穿山甲（酥炙） 陈皮 白芷 甘草 藜芦 贝母（去心，姜制，各
等分）
上为细末，每服三钱，好酒调下。
乳痈（乳房急性化脓性疾病），是由于体内毒热蕴结，外部感受风邪，邪气侵入血脉之间，发作于乳房内部，逐渐形成肿胀坚硬，导致血液凝滞、气机阻滞。或者因乳汁滞留日久，无法消散，凝结而成痈疽。丹溪说：乳房归属于足阳明胃经，乳头归属于足厥阴肝经。哺乳期的母亲，如果因愤怒损伤肝脏，或因食用肥厚滋腻食物积聚内热，导致气血运行不畅，乳窍不通，乳汁无法排出而结聚，从而形成肿胀疼痛。足阳明经血分有热则化为脓液。又有婴儿口鼻之气吹入乳房导致发热，随后结成硬块，初起时应当强忍疼痛揉按使其变软，使血脉通畅调和，自然就会消散。若错过此时机不治疗，则会形成痈脓。治疗方法，初起时应当使用发散行气的药物；如果已经成脓，又应当使用内托排脓、养血顺气的药物。千万不要乱用针刀，以免引发更严重的疾病，那就难以治愈了。又有妇人因长期忧思郁结形成隐伏的硬块，大小如鳖棋棋子，质地坚硬如石，不痛不痒，经过一年、两年或三五年后，才发作成为疮疡，破溃后形成空洞，名叫乳癌。因为疮口深凹类似岩穴而得名。大多难以治愈。得了这种病症的人虽然说是天命，但如果能清心寡欲、远虑修身，饮食清淡，戒除暴怒，仍然服用内托活血顺气的药物，或许还有生存的希望。
内托升麻汤
治疗妇人双乳间出现黑头，疮顶凹陷呈黑眼状，以及乳痈初起也适用。
升麻、葛根、连翘、当归身、黄柏（各二钱）、黄芪（三钱）、肉桂（五分）、牛蒡子、甘草（炙，各一钱）
以上药材为一服量，用水一盅，酒半盅，煎煮至一盅，饭后服用。
连翘饮子
治疗乳痈。
连翘、川芎、栝蒌仁、皂荚刺、橘叶、青皮、甘草节、桃仁（各二钱）
以上药材为一服量，用水二盅，煎煮至一盅，饭后较长时间服用。
百齿霜丸
治疗吹乳（哺乳期乳腺炎）结核不散，肿痛者神效，也治疗乳癌。
百齿霜（即梳齿上的头垢）
以上制成丸药，如鸡头子大小，以黄丹为外衣。每次服用一丸或两丸，用优质酒送服，如果不饮酒则用白开水送服。不可让药丸化开，也不要让患者知道是此药，极有效验。
十六味流气饮
（方剂见前文）
治疗乳房结块伴有寒热肿痛，即将形成痈疽，急服此药以消散之。
葛稚川方
治疗妇人乳痈。
人牙齿（烧至存性）
以上研成极细粉末，用酥油调匀涂抹于痈肿上。
兵部手集方
治疗疟乳（指乳房坚硬如疟疾般寒热交替或硬结）硬结，即将成脓，服用此药即可消散。
鹿角
将鹿角在粗石上磨取白色汁液涂抹患处，干了再涂，注意不要让手接触，并让人用嘴吸出黄水，大约一天时间即可消散。
或者使用鹿角，锉成极细粉末，用酒调服二三钱也有效。
神效栝蒌散
治疗妇人乳疽、奶痨（慢性乳腺炎）。
黄栝蒌（选子多的一个，去皮焙干研为细末，如果着急，只用烂熟的直接研磨）川当归（洗净，去芦头，焙干，切细，半两）生甘草（半两）通明没药（二钱半，另研）滴乳香（一钱，另研）
以上用无灰酒三升，同放在银石器中慢火熬制，取出一升清汁，分为三次饭后服用。如果有奶痨，立即服用此药以杜绝病根。如果毒热已成，能将脓液化为黄水；毒未成则在内消散，病情严重者再次合服，以症状消退为度。治疗乳疽的方剂很多，唯独这一个方子神效无比，万无一失。
究原五物汤
痈疽发背、乳痈通用。
栝蒌（研碎，一枚）皂荚刺（一半烧过，一半带生）没药（各半两）乳香、甘草（各二钱半）
以上捣成粗末，用醇酒三升煎取二升，时时饮用，疼痛难忍时立止。
乳痈方
治疗乳痈初发。
贝母
以上研成粉末，每次服用二钱，用温酒调下。随即双手覆按于桌上，垂放乳房良久，乳汁自然通畅。
敷乳方
天南星、半夏（生用）、皂荚刺（烧至存性带生，各二分）、白芷、草乌、直僵蚕（焙干，各一分）
以上研成细末，多用葱白研磨取汁，加入蜂蜜调匀外敷。如果已破溃，疮口用膏药贴敷。
复元通气散
治疗妇人发乳痈疽及一切肿毒。
木香、茴香、青皮、穿山甲（酥炙）、陈皮、白芷、甘草、藜芦、贝母（去心，姜制，各等分）
以上研成细末，每次服用三钱，用优质酒调下。
Mastitis (acute purulent disease of the breast) is caused by internal accumulation of toxic heat and external invasion of wind pathogenic factors. The pathogens penetrate between the blood vessels, manifesting within the breast, gradually forming swelling and induration, leading to blood stasis and qi stagnation. Alternatively, retained milk that remains for a long time without dispersing may condense into an abscess or carbuncle. Danxi stated: The breasts belong to the Foot-Yangming Stomach Meridian, and the nipples belong to the Foot-Jueyin Liver Meridian. Nursing mothers who suffer from anger injuring the Liver, or accumulate internal heat due to rich and greasy foods, will experience impaired circulation of Qi and Blood. If the lactiferous ducts are blocked and milk cannot be discharged, it will condense, causing swelling and pain. Heat in the blood of the Yangming Meridian transforms into pus. Additionally, if an infant's breath blows into the breast causing heat, nodules may subsequently form. At the initial stage, one should endure the pain and massage the area until it softens, allowing the blood vessels to become smooth and harmonious, leading to natural resolution. If this opportunity is missed and untreated, it will develop into an abscess with pus. The treatment method at the initial stage should employ herbs that disperse and promote Qi flow; if pus has already formed, internal support with draining pus and nourishing Blood while smoothing Qi is required. One must not recklessly use needles or knives, as this may aggravate the condition, making it difficult to treat. Furthermore, some women develop hidden nodules due to chronic sorrow and depression, sized like turtle chess pieces, hard as stone, painless and non-itchy. After one, two, or three to five years, they may erupt as sores, breaking down into hollow cavities, named "Ru Ai" (Breast Cancer). This name derives from the deep concavity resembling a rocky cave. These cases are mostly difficult to treat. Although those afflicted may attribute it to fate, if they can clear their minds, avoid excessive worry, maintain a bland diet, and abstain from violent anger, while continuing to take herbs for internal support, promoting Blood circulation and smoothing Qi, there may still be a chance for survival.
Neituo Shengma Decoction (Internal Support Coptis and Cimicifuga Decoction)
Treats black heads appearing between both breasts in women, with the sore apex sunken presenting as a black eye, and also treats early-stage mastitis.
Shengma (Rhizoma Cimicifugae), Gegen (Puerariae Lobatae Radix), Lianqiao (Forsythiae Fructus), Dangguishen (Radix Angelicae Sinensis - root body), Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex) (each 2 qian), Huangqi (Astragali Radix) (3 qian), Rougui (Cinnamomi Cortex) (5 fen), Niubangzi (Arctii Fructus), Gancao (Licorice Root, honey-fried) (each 1 qian).
Take as one dose. Add one cup of water and half a cup of wine. Decoct until one cup remains. Take after meals.
Lianqiao Yinzi (Forsythia Drink)
Treats mastitis.
Lianqiao (Forsythiae Fructus), Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Gualouren (Trichosanthis Semen), Zaojiaoci (Gleditsiae Spina), Jiuye (Citrus Reticulatae Folium), Qingpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Viride), Gancaojie (Licorice Root with nodes), Taoren (Persicae Semen) (each 2 qian).
Take as one dose. Add two cups of water. Decoct until one cup remains. Take well after meals.
Baichi Shuang Wan (Hundred-Tooth Frost Pills)
Highly effective for treating retained milk nodules that do not dissipate, accompanied by swelling and pain; also treats breast cancer.
Baichi Shuang (Head scale residue from combs).
Grind into pills the size of a corn kernel, coated with Zhudan (Red Lead Oxide). Take one or two pills per dose, washed down with good wine. If unable to drink alcohol, use plain boiled water. Do not allow the pill to dissolve before swallowing, and do not let the patient know it is this medicine. It is extremely effective.
Shiliuwei Liuqi Yin (Sixteen-Ingredient Flowing Qi Decoction)
(See formula mentioned previously)
Treats breast masses accompanied by alternating cold and fever, swelling, and pain, impending formation of abscess or carbuncle. Take this medicine urgently to disperse them.
Ge Zhichuan Formula
Treats female mastitis.
Ren Yachi (Human Teeth, calcined to retain efficacy).
Grind into an extremely fine powder. Mix with Su (Butter/Ghee) and apply topically to the abscess.
Bingbu Shouji Formula
Treats breast induration with malaria-like symptoms, impending pus formation. Taking this will cause resolution.
Lu Jiao (Deer Antler).
Rub the deer antler on a coarse stone to extract white juice and apply to the affected area. Reapply when dry. Avoid touching with hands. Have someone suck out the yellow fluid. Resolution occurs within about a day.
Alternatively, grind deer antler into an extremely fine powder, mix with wine, and take 2-3 qian orally. Also effective.
Shenxiao Gualou San (Miraculous Trichosanthes Powder)
Treats female breast carbuncles and chronic mastitis (Nai Lao).
Huang Gualou (Yellow Trichosanthes Fruit, select one with many seeds, peel, bake, and grind to fine powder; if urgent, use ripe fruit directly ground) (one unit), Chuan Danggui (Szechwan Lovage Root, wash, remove rhizome, bake, cut finely) (half liang), Sheng Gancao (Raw Licorice Root) (half liang), Tongming Moyao (Transparent Myrrh, separately ground) (2.5 qian), Dilu Xiang (Dripping Frankincense, separately ground) (1 qian).
Add three sheng of pure wine (without ash). Simmer slowly in a silver or earthenware vessel until one sheng of clear liquid remains. Divide into three doses, taken after meals. If suffering from chronic mastitis, take this immediately to eliminate the root cause. If toxic heat has formed pus, it will transform into yellow discharge; if toxic heat has not yet formed pus, it will resolve internally. For severe cases, repeat administration until symptoms subside. There are many formulas for breast carbuncles, but this one is uniquely miraculous and infallible.
Jiuyuan Wuwu Tang (Origin-Investigating Five-Ingredient Decoction)
General use for carbuncles, back infections, and mastitis.
Gualou (Trichosanthes Fruit, crushed) (one unit), Zaojiaoci (Gleditsiae Spina, half calcined, half raw) (half liang), Moyao (Myrrh) (half liang), Ruxiang (Frankincense), Gancao (Licorice Root) (each 2.5 qian).
Grind into coarse powder. Decoct in three sheng of strong wine to obtain two sheng. Sip frequently. Severe pain will stop immediately.
Mastitis Formula
For initial onset of mastitis.
Beimu (Fritillaria Bulb).
Grind into powder. Take 2 qian per dose, mixed with warm wine. Immediately place both hands flat on a table, letting the breast hang down for a long time to restore flow naturally.
Breast Application Formula
Tiannanxing (Arisaema Rhizome), Banxia (Pinellia Tuber, raw), Zaojiaoci (Gleditsiae Spina, calcined retaining rawness, each 2 fen), Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix), Caowu (Aconiti Radix), Zhijiangcan (Silkworm, baked, 1 fen).
Grind into fine powder. Use plenty of Congbai (Scallion White) ground to extract juice, mix with honey, and apply externally. If broken, cover the wound with a plaster.
Fuyuan Tongqi San (Restoring Origin and Promoting Qi Flowing Powder)
Treats female breast abscesses/carbuncles and all types of swelling and toxins.
Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix), Huixiang (Foeniculi Fructus), Qingpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Viride), Chuanshanjia (Pangolin Scales, fried with butter), Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium), Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix), Gancao (Licorice Root), Lilü (Veratrum Nigrum), Beimu (Fritillaria Bulb, heart removed, processed with ginger) (equal parts).
Grind into fine powder. Take 3 qian per dose, mixed with good wine.
