产后中风口噤（产后中风导致牙关紧闭、口角抽动）的病症，是由于气血虚弱，风邪侵入颔颊部夹持口部的筋脉所致。手三阳经的筋脉结聚于下颌。分娩时劳损脏腑……
治疗产后中风，症状表现为口噤、心胸烦闷、全身强直、腰背向后反折如弓状，状似风痉（以项背强急、四肢抽搐、甚至角弓反张为特征的病证）。防风散方：
防风（去除芦头）、秦艽（去除苗）、赤茯苓、独活、川芎、人参（去除芦头）、当归（切碎微炒）、汉防己、甘草（炙微红，切碎）。

治疗产后中风，症状表现为口噤、四肢抽搐。乌蛇散方：
乌蛇肉（一两，酒拌炙令黄）、天麻（一两）、桂心、莽草、槟榔、麻黄（去根节）、天雄（炮裂去尖，细研入）。
以上药物，捣碎细罗制成散剂，加入麝香混合均匀。每次不限时候，用豆淋酒调服一钱。
治疗产后中风，口噤。白僵蚕散方：
白僵蚕（微炒）、天南星（炮裂）、干蝎（微炒）、桑螵蛸（微炒）、桂心、藿香、川乌头（炮裂去尖）。
以上药物，捣碎细罗制成散剂。每次不限时候，用生姜酒调服半钱，撬开嘴巴灌服。
治疗产后中风，口噤。天麻散方：
天麻（三分）、白附子（炮裂）、天南星（炮裂）、软蝎（微炒）、半夏（汤浸七遍去滑，用生姜半两）。
以上药物，捣碎细罗制成散剂。每次不限时候，用生姜薄荷酒调服半钱，撬开嘴巴灌服。
治疗产后中风，口噤不能言语，腰背僵硬无法着床。伏龙肝散方：
伏龙肝（一两半）、干姜（半两，炮裂切碎）。
以上药物，捣碎细罗制成散剂。不限时候，用酒调服二钱。
治疗产后中风痉，通身拘急，口噤，不知人事。麻黄散方：
麻黄（去根节）、白术、独活（以上各一两）。
以上药物，捣碎过筛制成散剂。每次服用四钱，用水和酒各半盏，煎煮至六分量，去渣，不限时候温服。
又一方：
独活（一两，捣末）。
以上用酒一大盏，煎煮至七分，去渣，加入竹沥一合，分两次温服。
又一方：
鸡粪白（一两，炒令黄色）。
以上用酒一大盏，煎五七沸，去渣，分两次温服。
The condition of postpartum wind-stroke with trismus (lockjaw) is caused by deficiency of blood and qi, allowing wind pathogen to invade the tendons binding the mouth in the mandibular and cheek regions. For treating postpartum wind-stroke manifesting as trismus, chest oppression, general body stiffness, and opisthotonos (backward bending of the spine), resembling wind-spasm: Fangfeng San Formula.
Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, remove rhizome base), Qinjiao (Gentianae Macrophyllae Radix, remove sprouts), Chifuling (Polyporus Coccineus), Duhuo (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix), Xiong (Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Renshen (Panacis Ginseng Radix, remove rhizome base), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, sliced and lightly stir-baked), Hanfangji (Stephaniae Tetrandrae Radix), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, honey-fried until slightly red, sliced).
Crush and sieve the above ingredients to make a powder. Take 4 qian per dose. Add one zhongzhan of water and half fen of fresh ginger. Decoct until reduced to five parts. Strain, add half he of Zhuli (Bamboo Sap), mix well. Administer at any time by prying open the mouth and pouring it in.
For treating postpartum wind-stroke manifesting as trismus, dizziness and muteness, and spasmodic rigidity of the body: Qianghuo San Formula.
Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix, 1 or 2 liang), Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba, 2 liang, remove root joints), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, remove rhizome base), Qinjiao (Gentianae Macrophyllae Radix, remove sprouts), Guixin (Cinnamomi Cortex), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, honey-fried until slightly red), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Xiong (Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizoma).
Crush and sieve the above ingredients to make a powder. Take 4 qian per dose. Add one zhongzhan of water and half fen of fresh ginger. Decoct until reduced to five parts. Strain, add half he of Zhuli (Bamboo Sap), mix well. Administer at any time by prying open the mouth and pouring it in.
For treating postpartum wind-stroke manifesting as trismus, convulsions of hands and feet, dizziness and loss of consciousness, as well as various wind-toxic bi syndromes with alternating severity and rigidity of the body: Zhi Shiyin San Formula.
Zhi Shiyin (Fluorite, finely ground), Bai Shiyin (Fluorite, finely ground), Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum), Chishizhi (Kaolinite), Xiong (Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Duhuo (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix), Gegen (Puerariae Lobatae Radix, sliced), Guixin (Cinnamomi Cortex, each 1 liang).
Coarsely sieve the above ingredients to make a powder, then mix with the finely ground ingredients evenly. Take 4 qian per dose. Add one zhongzhan of water and half fen of fresh ginger. Decoct until reduced to six parts. Strain. Administer at any time by prying open the mouth and pouring it in.
For treating postpartum wind-stroke manifesting as deviation of eyes, trismus, rigidity of sinews and bones, opisthotonos, and palpitations: Lingyangjiao San Formula.
Lingyangjiao (Saiga Tataricae Cornu, shaved), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, remove rhizome base), Xiong (Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Tianma (Gastrodiae Rhizoma), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, sliced and lightly stir-baked), Qinjiao (Gentianae Macrophyllae Radix, remove sprouts), Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba, remove root joints), Chishao (Paeoniae Radix Rubra).
Coarsely sieve the above ingredients to make a powder. Take 4 qian per dose. Add one zhongzhan of water and half he of fresh ginger. Decoct until reduced to five parts. Strain, add half he of Zhuli (Bamboo Sap). Administer at any time by prying open the mouth and pouring it in.
For treating postpartum wind-stroke manifesting as inability to open the mouth due to trismus, coma, and stiffness of shoulders and back: Qinjiao San Formula.
Qinjiao (Gentianae Macrophyllae Radix, remove sprouts), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, remove rhizome base), Gegen (Puerariae Lobatae Radix, sliced, each 3 qian), Duhuo (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix, 1.5 liang), Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata, processed until cracked, peel skin and remove umbilical scar), Guizhi (Cinnamomi Ramulus).
Coarsely sieve the above ingredients to make a powder. Take 4 qian per dose. Add one zhongzhan of water and half fen of fresh ginger. Decoct until reduced to six parts. Strain. Warm and administer at any time.
For treating postpartum wind-stroke manifesting as trismus, shoulder and back rigidity, and spasticity of four limbs: Duhuo San Formula.
Duhuo (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix, 2 liang), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, 2 liang, remove rhizome base), Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata, half liang, processed until cracked, peel skin and remove umbilical scar), Guixin (Cinnamomi Cortex, 1 liang), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, 1 liang, honey-fried until slightly red).
Coarsely sieve the above ingredients to make a powder. Take 4 qian per dose. Add half zhongzhan of water and half zhongzhan of wine. Decoct until reduced to six parts. Strain. Administer at any time by prying open the mouth and pouring it in.
For treating postpartum wind-stroke manifesting as trismus and rigidity of four limbs: Tiannanxing San Formula.
Tiannanxing (Arisaematis Rhizoma, half liang, processed until cracked), Weishao (Viper's Tail, half liang, used raw), Sheng Fuzi (Raw Aconiti Lateralis Radix, half liang, processed until cracked), Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata, half liang, processed until cracked, peel skin and remove umbilical scar), Tianma (Gastrodiae Rhizoma).
Finely sieve the above ingredients to make a powder, mix in Nifen (Calomelas) evenly. Take 1 qian at any time, mixed with wine containing fresh ginger and mint.
For treating postpartum wind-stroke manifesting as trismus and convulsions of four limbs: Wushe San Formula.
Wushe Rou (Dinodon Rufozonatum Meat, 1 liang, soaked in wine and fried until yellow), Tianma (Gastrodiae Rhizoma, 1 liang), Guixin (Cinnamomi Cortex), Mangcao (Magnoliae Officinalis Bark), Binglang (Arecae Semen), Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba, remove root joints), Tianxiong (Aconiti Kusnezoffii Radix, processed until cracked, remove tip, finely ground and added).
Finely sieve the above ingredients to make a powder, mix in Shexiang (Moschus) evenly. Take 1 qian at any time, mixed with Doulin Jiu (Bean-leavened Wine).
For treating postpartum wind-stroke with trismus: Bai Jiangcan San Formula.
Bai Jiangcan (Bombyx Batryticatus, lightly stir-fried), Tiannanxing (Arisaematis Rhizoma, processed until cracked), Ganxie (Scorpio, lightly stir-fried), Sangpiaoxiao (Ovi Mantidis, lightly stir-fried), Guixin (Cinnamomi Cortex), Huoxiang (Agastaches Rugosae Herba), Chuan Wutou (Aconiti Radix, processed until cracked, remove tip).
Finely sieve the above ingredients to make a powder. Take half qian at any time, mixed with wine containing fresh ginger. Administer by prying open the mouth and pouring it in.
For treating postpartum wind-stroke with trismus: Tianma San Formula.
Tianma (Gastrodiae Rhizoma, 3 qian), Baifu Zi (Bungea Seedae, processed until cracked), Tiannanxing (Arisaematis Rhizoma, processed until cracked), Ruanxie (Soft Scorpion, lightly stir-fried), Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma, soaked in boiling water seven times to remove slipperiness, use half liang of fresh ginger).
Finely sieve the above ingredients to make a powder. Take half qian at any time, mixed with wine containing fresh ginger and mint. Administer by prying open the mouth and pouring it in.
For treating postpartum wind-stroke manifesting as trismus with inability to speak, and rigid back unable to touch the bed: Fulonggan San Formula.
Fulonggan (Dragon's Liver, 1.5 liang), Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma, half liang, processed until cracked and sliced).
Finely sieve the above ingredients to make a powder. Take 2 qian at any time, mixed with wine.
For treating postpartum wind-spasm manifesting as general body spasticity, trismus, and loss of consciousness: Mahuang San Formula.
Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba, remove root joints), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Duhuo (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix, each 1 liang).
Crush and sieve the above ingredients to make a powder. Take 4 qian per dose. Add half zhongzhan of water and half zhongzhan of wine. Decoct until reduced to six parts. Strain. Warm and administer at any time.
Another prescription:
Duhuo (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix, 1 liang, crushed into powder).
Add one large zhanzhan of wine. Decoct until reduced to seven parts. Strain, add one he of Zhuli (Bamboo Sap). Divide into two warm doses.
Another prescription:
Jifen Bai (Chicken Manure White, 1 liang, fried until yellow).
Add one large zhanzhan of wine. Boil for five to seven boils. Strain. Divide into two warm doses.
For treating postpartum wind-spasm manifesting as trismus, bluish complexion, and acute rigidity of hands and feet:
Use one sheng of Zhuli (Bamboo Sap). Divide into five doses. Drink frequently while warm. Highly effective.
