夫内黄者，由热毒之气，在于脾胃，与谷气相搏。热蒸在内，不得宣散，先心腹
胀满气急，然后身面悉黄，名为内黄也。
治内黄，遍身黄如橘色，心肋满急，栀子散方。
栀子仁（一两） 黄芩（一两） 柴胡（一两去苗） 川升麻（一两） 龙胆（半两去
芦头）
川大黄（一两锉碎，微炒） 栝蒌根（一两） 川芒硝（二两）
上件药，捣筛为散。每服四钱，以水一中盏，煎至六分，去滓，不计时候温服。
治内黄，身、面、眼悉黄如黄金色，小便浓如黄柏汁，众医不能疗，茵陈散方。
茵陈（二两） 黄芩（一两） 栀子仁（一两） 川升麻〔二（三）两〕 川大黄（一

微炒） 龙胆（一两去芦头） 枳壳（一两麸炒微黄，去瓤） 秦艽（一两去苗）

川大黄（二两锉碎，微炒） 黄连（二两去须） 黄芩（二两）
上件药，捣细罗为散。每服不计时候，以温水调下二钱。
又方
柳枝（二两锉）
上，以水一大盏半，煎至八分，去滓。不计时候，分温二服。
又方
川大黄（一两锉）
上，以水一大盏，煎至六分，去滓，不计时候温服。
又方
黄栝蒌（一枚大者）
上以新汲水一大盏半，浸黄栝蒌，淘绞取汁，下蜜半合，入川朴硝二分，细研，搅令匀
。分为三服，频服之效。
内黄这种病，是由于热毒之气蕴结在脾胃，与饮食水谷之气相互搏结。热气蒸腾于体内，无法向外宣散，起初出现心腹部胀满、气急的症状，随后全身和面部都变黄，这就称为内黄。

以上药物，捣细罗制成散剂。每次不分时候，用温水调服二钱。

以上药物，用水一大盏半，煎煮至八分，滤去药渣。不分时候，分两次温服。

以上药物，用水一大盏，煎煮至六分，滤去药渣，不分时候温服。

黄栝蒌（一枚大的）
以上药物，用新汲取的冷水一大盏半，浸泡黄栝蒌，淘洗绞取汁液，加入蜂蜜半合，放入川朴硝二分，细细研磨，搅拌均匀。分为三次服用，频繁服用效果显著。
Neihuang (Internal Jaundice) is caused by the accumulation of heat-toxin qi in the Spleen and Stomach, where it contends with the qi of food and drink. The steaming heat remains internal without being dispersed outward. Initially, there is distension and fullness in the heart and abdomen accompanied by shortness of breath; subsequently, the entire body and face turn yellow. This condition is termed Neihuang (Internal Jaundice).
For treating Neihuang characterized by a body yellow like orange peel, with fullness and urgency in the heart and hypochondriac regions, use the Gardenia Powder formula:
Gardeniae Fructus (Zhi Zi Ren, 1 liang), Scutellariae Radix (Huang Qin, 1 liang), Bupleuri Radix (Chai Hu, 1 liang, remove seedlings), Cimicifugae Rhizoma (Chuan Sheng Ma, 1 liang), Gentianae Radix (Long Dan, 0.5 liang, remove rhizome base).
Rhei Radix et Rhizoma (Chuan Da Huang, 1 liang, cut into pieces, slightly stir-fried), Trichosanthis Radix (Gua Lou Gen, 1 liang), Natrii Sulfas (Chuan Mang Xiao, 2 liang).
Crush and sieve the above ingredients to make a powder. Take 4 qian per dose, decoct with one zhong zhan (approx. 300-400ml) of water until reduced to 6 fen (approx. 2/3 volume), filter out the dregs, and take warm at any time.
For treating Neihuang characterized by the body, face, and eyes turning yellow like gold, with urine thick and yellow like Phellodendron bark juice, which has resisted treatment by other physicians, use the Yinchen Powder formula:
Artemisiae Scopariae Herba (Yin Chen, 2 liang), Scutellariae Radix (Huang Qin, 1 liang), Gardeniae Fructus (Zhi Zi Ren, 1 liang), Cimicifugae Rhizoma (Chuan Sheng Ma [2 or 3 liang]), Rhei Radix et Rhizoma (Chuan Da Huang, 1 liang, cut into pieces, slightly stir-fried), Gentianae Radix (Long Dan, 1 liang, remove rhizome base), Aurantii Fructus Pericarpium (Zhi Ke, 1 liang, bran-fried until slightly yellow, remove pith), Gastrodiae Rhizoma (Qin Jiao, 1 liang, remove seedlings).
Crush and sieve the above ingredients to make a powder. Take 4 qian per dose, decoct with one zhong zhan of water until reduced to 6 fen, filter out the dregs, and take warm at any time.
For treating Neihuang where the body and facial features are all yellow, this formula is suitable:
Rhei Radix et Rhizoma (Chuan Da Huang, 2 liang, cut into pieces, slightly stir-fried), Coptidis Rhizoma (Huang Lian, 2 liang, remove roots), Scutellariae Radix (Huang Qin, 2 liang).
Pulverize the above ingredients finely through a sieve. Take 2 qian per dose mixed with warm water, at any time.
Another formula:
Salix Tomentosa Ramulus (Liu Zhi, 2 liang, cut).
Decoct the above ingredient with 1.5 zhong zhan of water until reduced to 8 fen, filter out the dregs. Divide into two doses and take warm at any time.
Another formula:
Rhei Radix et Rhizoma (Chuan Da Huang, 1 liang, cut).
Decoct with one zhong zhan of water until reduced to 6 fen, filter out the dregs, and take warm at any time.
Another formula:
Trichosanthes Fruit (Huang Gua Lou, one large fruit).
Soak the Huang Gua Lou in 1.5 zhong zhan of fresh cold water, wash and squeeze to extract the juice. Add half he of honey and 2 fen of Natrii Sulfas (Chuan Pu Xiao), grind finely, and mix evenly. Divide into three doses and take frequently for effective results.
