阳气施化，阴气受纳，因此能够受孕怀胎。营气与卫气调和，则经血滋养充足，胎儿得以安稳，从而正常生长发育。如果气血虚弱亏损，
治疗妊娠期间多次流产的方剂，都是因为气血虚弱亏损，子宫受风冷侵袭，导致胎元不坚固，频繁受到损伤。适宜服用卷柏丸方。
卷柏、钟乳粉、鹿角胶（捣碎后炒至黄燥）、紫石英（细研后用水飞法处理）、阳起石（细研后用水飞法处理）、桑螵蛸、当归（去芦头，微炒）。
以上药物，捣碎过筛成粉末，混合均匀研磨。用炼蜜和药末制成梧桐子大小的丸剂。每次在空腹及晚饭前，用温酒送服三丸。
治疗妇人因风冷滞留子宫，导致胎儿经常流产的情况，适宜服用补益紫石英丸方。
紫石英（细研后用水飞法处理）、天门冬（去心焙干）、五味子、卷柏、禹余粮（烧红后用醋淬七遍）、川椒（去目及闭口者，微炒）、干姜（炮裂锉碎）、甘草（半两，炙至微赤）。
以上药物，捣碎过筛成散剂，加入已研磨好的药物混合均匀。用炼蜜和药捣三二百下，制成梧桐子大小的丸剂。每次在饭前，用温酒送服。
治疗怀孕多次流产且胎元不结实的情况，这是由子宫虚冷引起的，适用熟干地黄散方。
熟干地黄（一两）、吴茱萸（半两，用汤浸泡七遍后焙干微炒）、干姜（半两，炮裂锉碎）、甘草（半两，炙至微赤）、桂心（一两，锉碎）。
以上药物，捣细过筛成散剂。每次在进食前，用温酒调服二钱。
另一个方子：
赤小豆（二升，在湿地种植使其发芽，晒干）。
以上药物，捣细过筛成散剂。每次在进食前，用温酒调服二钱。
治疗难产且胎儿死于腹中的情况，多因惊恐触动过早，或者触犯禁忌，导致产程艰难。产程艰难则污秽之物下行，但产时未到，污秽物先下。必须顺应四时方位，并避开五行药物的禁忌。如果有触犯，往往会招致灾祸。
治疗妊娠经过三五个月，胎死在腹内排不出的情况，适用瞿麦散方。
瞿麦（半两）、滑石（三分）、当归（一两，锉碎微炒）、赤芍药（三两）、榆皮（三两）、大腹子（三两）。
以上药物，捣粗罗成散剂。每次服四钱，用水一中盏，煎至六分，去渣滓，不限时候温服。
治疗妊娠经过五六个月，胎位横死在腹内排不出的情况，适用牛膝散方。
牛膝（一两，去苗）、蒲黄（半两）、当归（三分，锉碎微炒）、雄鼠粪（半两，炒）、川芎（三分）、生干地黄（一两，锉碎）。
以上药物，捣粗罗成散剂。每次服三钱，用水和酒各半盏，煎至五分，去渣滓，不限时候温服。
治疗死胎排出后，有败血冲心导致闷绝，上气不停的情况，适用牡丹散方。
牡丹、赤芍药、青橘皮（汤浸去白瓤焙干）、荷叶、当归（锉碎微炒）、蒲黄、姜黄、川大黄（锉碎）。
以上药物，捣细罗成散剂，不限时候，用温酒调服二钱。
治疗胎动不安及难产，胎儿死于腹中，或者怀双胎，一儿已死，一儿尚活，使死者排出，生者平安。此方神效。
蟹爪（一斤，锉碎）、甘草（二尺，炙至微赤锉碎）、阿胶（三两，捣碎炒至黄燥为末）。
以上药物，用东流水五升，先煮前三味药，取汁二升，纳入阿胶烊化。每次温服一大（小）盏，频频服用。
水银（半两）、硫黄（一分，与水银结为砂子）、白矾（半两，煅灰）、砒砂（半两）。
以上药物，捣研令细。用煮枣肉和药制成绿豆大小的丸剂。每次服，煎榆白皮酒送服五丸，腹痛即胎下。
另一个方子：
水银（一分，用少量枣皮研磨尽）、朱砂（一分）、雄黄（一分）。
以上药物，同研令细。用煮枣肉和药制成绿豆大小的丸剂，不限时候，用槐子汤送服五丸。
上用温酒调桂末二钱，下水银半两，用米粥饮送下也可以。
以上药物，捣细罗成散剂，用醋面糊调涂在心口上，用纸贴之，胎儿即生。
皂荚子黄（四两）、米醋〔一（二）升，多年陈醋为上〕。
上用五升瓶盛装，文火煨令通热，用纸盖瓶口，将瓶向妇人面前，打破纸取气，熏蒸少时即下。

取利斧头，烧令通红，置入酒中，待微温，令产妇饮之，其子便下。

Formulas for treating recurrent spontaneous abortion during pregnancy: These are all caused by deficiency and damage of Qi and Blood, and cold-wind invading the Zang organs (specifically the uterus), leading to an unstable fetal foundation and frequent injury. It is appropriate to take Juanbai Wan (Selaginella Pill).
Juanbai (Herba Selaginae Tenuifoliae), Zhongru Fen (Calcitriol Powder), Lujiao Jiao (Deer Antler Glue, crushed and stir-fried until yellow and dry), Zi Shiy ing (Fluorite, finely ground and washed with water), Yangqishi (Bischofite, finely ground and washed with water), Sangpiaoxiao (Ootheca Mantidis), Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis, remove rootlet, slightly stir-fried).

For women suffering from habitual miscarriage due to cold-wind stagnating in the uterus, it is appropriate to take Buyi Zi Shiy ing Wan (Nourishing and Tonifying Fluorite Pill).
Zi Shiy ing (Fluorite, finely ground and washed with water), Tianmendong (Tuber Asparagi, remove heart and roast), Wuweizi (Fructus Schisandrae Chinensis), Juanbai (Herba Selaginae Tenuifoliae), Yuyuli ang (Limonite, calcined and quenched in vinegar seven times), Chuanjiao (Sichuan Pepper, remove eyes and closed mouths, slightly stir-fried), Ganjiang (Dried Ginger, processed, cracked, and sliced), Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae Uralensis, half liang, processed until slightly red).
The above herbs are crushed, sifted into a powder, mixed with the already ground ingredients, and pounded with refined honey two or three hundred times to form pills the size of Sophora seeds. Take before meals, washed down with warm wine.

Regarding difficult labor with the fetus dead in the abdomen: This is often caused by premature fright and disturbance, or violating taboos, leading to obstructed labor. Obstructed labor causes foul fluids to descend prematurely before the actual time of delivery. One must conform to the directions of the four seasons and avoid contraindications related to the Five Elements. Violations may invite disaster.
For pregnancy at three to five months where the fetus dies in the abdomen and cannot be expelled, the Qumai San (Madderwort Powder) formula is used.
Qumai (Herba Dianthi Semipunctati, half liang), Huashi (Talcum, three fen), Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis, one liang, sliced and slightly stir-fried), Chishaoyao (Radix Paeoniae Rubra, three liang), Yupi (Cortex Ulmi, three liang), Dafuzi (Fructus Arecae, three liang).
The above herbs are coarsely crushed and sifted into powder. Take four qian each time, decoct with one zhong of water until reduced to six parts, strain, and take warm at any time.
For pregnancy at five to six months where the fetus dies transversely in the abdomen and cannot be expelled, the Niuxi San (Achyranthes Powder) formula is used.
Niuxi (Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae, one liang, remove tips), Puhuang (Pollen Typhae, half liang), Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis, three fen, sliced and slightly stir-fried), Xiongshufen (Excrement Mus Cardii Masculini, half liang, stir-fried), Xiongnu (Radix Chuanxiong, three fen), Shenggan Dihuang (Raw Dried Radix Rehmanniae, one liang, sliced).
The above herbs are coarsely crushed and sifted into powder. Take three qian each time, decoct with half a zhong of water and half a zhong of wine until reduced to five parts, strain, and take warm at any time.
After expelling a dead fetus, if residual blood rushes to the heart causing suffocation and continuous upward rushing of Qi, the Mudan San (Tree Peony Bark Powder) formula is used.
Mudan (Cortex Moutan Radicis), Chishaoyao (Radix Paeoniae Rubra), Qingju pi (Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae Viride, soaked in water, remove white pith and roast), Heye (Folium Nelumbinis), Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis, sliced and slightly stir-fried), Puhuang (Pollen Typhae), Jianghuang (Rhizoma Curcumae Longae), Chuan Dahuang (Radix et Rhizoma Rhei, sliced).
The above herbs are finely crushed and sifted into powder. Take two qian mixed with warm wine at any time.
For restless fetus and difficult labor with the fetus dead in the abdomen, or twin pregnancy where one fetus is dead and the other alive, to expel the dead and protect the living, this formula is miraculous.
Xiezhua (Crab Claws, one jin, sliced), Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae Uralensis, two chi, processed until slightly red and sliced), Ejiao (Colla Corii Asini, three liang, crushed and stir-fried until yellow and dry, made into powder).
The above herbs are boiled in five sheng of flowing water from the east. Decoct the first three ingredients to obtain two sheng of liquid, then dissolve the Ejiao into it. Take one large or small cup warm, frequently.
For pregnancy where the fetus dies in the abdomen and cannot be expelled, the Shuiyin Wan (Mercury Pill) formula is used.
Shuiyin (Hydrargyrum, half liang), Liuhuang (Sulfur, one fen, combined with mercury to form cinnabar-like grains), Bai fan (Alumen, half liang, calcined to ash), Shasha (Arsenolite, half liang).
The above herbs are finely crushed and ground. Mix with paste from boiled dates to form pills the size of mung beans. Take five pills each time, washed down with decoction of Ulmus bark wine. Abdominal pain will lead to expulsion of the fetus.
Another formula:
Shuiyin (Hydrargyrum, one fen, ground thoroughly with a small amount of date skin), Zhusha (Cinnabar, one fen), Xionghuang (Realgar, one fen).
The above herbs are ground together until fine. Mix with paste from boiled dates to form pills the size of mung beans. Take five pills at any time, washed down with decoction of Sophora seeds.
For dead fetus stuck in the abdomen, immediate effect formula:
Shuiyin (Hydrargyrum), Guixin Mo (Powder of Cinnamon Twig).
Mix two qian of Guixin powder with warm wine, add half liang of Shuiyin, and take with rice gruel.
For pregnancy with dead fetus in the abdomen when no other measures work, use this formula:
Bimazi (Ricini Semen, three seeds), Niuzibangzi (Arctii Fructus, one fen).
The above herbs are finely crushed and sifted into powder. Mix with vinegar and flour paste, apply to the heart region, and cover with paper. The fetus will be born.
For pregnancy with dead fetus in the abdomen not expelling:
Zaojiazi Huang (Yellow interior of Gleditsia Sinensis seed, four liang), Rice Vinegar (one or two sheng, aged vinegar is superior).
Place in a five-sheng bottle, heat gently over low fire until hot. Cover the mouth with paper, hold near the woman's face, break the paper to inhale the fumes for a short time to induce expulsion.
Another formula:
Take a sharp axe, heat until red-hot, place in wine, wait until slightly warm, and have the woman drink it. The fetus will be expelled.
Another formula:
Jizi (Gallus Egg, one, use yolk only), Shengjiang Zhi (Fresh Ginger Juice, one he).
Mix the egg yolk with ginger juice and take in one dose. After delivery, eating Rapeseed porridge is beneficial.
Another formula:
Yubai pi (Cortex Ulmi, two liang, sliced), Zhusha (Cinnabar, half liang, finely ground).
Decoct the Yu pi in one large cup of wine until reduced to six parts, strain, divide into two doses. Each dose takes one fen of Zhusha mixed in.
Another formula:
Sufangmu (Sappan Wood, one jin, finely beaten and wrapped in cotton), Shuiyin (Hydrargyrum, one liang).
Decoct the Sufangmu in five large cups of water until reduced to one large cup. For each dose, mix two fen of water with one fen of Shuiyin. Take again after walking for three to five li.
Another formula:
Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis, one liang, sliced and slightly stir-fried), Xiongnu (Radix Chuanxiong, three fen), Qumai (Herba Dianthi Semipunctati, three fen).
Slice the herbs. Decoct with one zhong of water and one zhong of rice vinegar until reduced to one zhong and three fen. Divide into three warm doses.
Another formula:
Qilinjie (Dragon's Blood, one liang), Puhuang (Pollen Typhae, three fen), Chishaoyao (Radix Paeoniae Rubra, three fen).
Finely crush and sift into powder. Take two qian and a half each time, mixed with warm wine. Frequent administration yields effects.
Another formula:
Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae Uralensis, half liang, processed until slightly red and sliced), Puhuang (Pollen Typhae, half liang), Guixin (Cortex Cinnamomi, three fen), Chi (Fermented Soybean Paste, two he), Jizi (Gallus Egg, two).
Crush the herbs. Decoct with one and a half large cups of water until reduced to one large cup, strain, beat the eggs into the liquid to mix evenly. Divide into three warm doses.
Another formula:
Qumai (Herba Dianthi Semipunctati, one jin, sliced).
Decoct in six large cups of water until reduced to two large cups, strain, divide into three doses.
For pregnancy未满 term with dead fetus retained, causing the mother to be in critical condition:
Boil one he of black soybeans in one large cup of vinegar until soft. Remove the beans and drink the liquid. Immediate effect.
Formula for fetus dead in abdomen not expelling:
Apply cow dung to the abdomen. Immediate expulsion.
